    I can't tell you how cool it is for me to see a young man like you building a true muscle car, and not a turner car with a wing , and a fart pipe. You are doing fantastic work, and I can't wait to see the finished product! I'm retired now, so nothing is going to keep me from seeing every one until it's done!!! PEACE ✌️

    Have a look at the Milwaukee M12 Right Angle Die Grinder PN#2485-20 You can use it with sanding pads and 3m Bristle Discs. Don't need air and it works awesome, get the bigger battery though.

    Milwaukee M12 right angle die grinder, 2 inch roloc adapter, and cubitron 80 grit sanding discs is killer for dressing welds and doesn't need a compressor. Variable speed to make it less likely to gouge too. One of my most used tools honestly! Nice work dude. Keep up the momentum!

    in canada we have winters and salt that destroy cars, therefore we have some pretty good rust preventative products. i use something called "rust check" it creeps. i restored a 70 challenger . i spray rust check inside my frame rails every couple of years and also my doors. by spring the rust check has creeped up the front of the door panel... it also keeps wires soft and prevents them from drying out. i started doing this 30 years ago when i restored the car.... frame rails are still perfect

    You are doing an awesome job! There's a great career future for you if you want to take this further. You can make really good money if you want to get into classic car restoration. The people who have been doing this for years are approaching retirement age, and then some. We need more people your age with the interest, pride, and work ethic you have to carry on the trade and keep these classics on the road.

    Milwaukee has a right angle die grinder. It's been my most used tool with my metal work. Can use cut off wheels, 2 or 3 inch roloc sanding disc, or carbide burrs. Probably would work great for you since you don't have air. Just would have to get the larger 6.0ah batteries, they last way longer.

    I saw a video earlier of these other guys building a insane 69 Charger and they were saying for whatever reason the engines in these cars never sit centered. They had to do some metal work to the firewall and drive shaft tunnel to get it centered.. That might want to be something you want to consider when you get to that point. From what I understand it's on all Chargers...

    • @camracing
      @camracing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it’s on all mopars. The engines sit 1 1/2 inches to the passenger side. I had to deal with the same thing when I put the Ls in my duster haha

    He's gone now but I knew on old guy who for years up until like 2010 still used lead. He used to say he spent hours getting thin metal complex shapes right and learned it just wasn't worth the effort. Hated plastic variants. There was an art to selecting the level of tin, but I don't remember what he said...haha. Pretty sure popular suppliers like Eastwood still sell it at different tin levels.
