At my camp (its a church camp) our schedule is: Wake up, flag pole devo, camp clean up, breakfast, group bible, breakfast-canteen (snack), cabin activity, cabin bible, lunch, group activity, lunch canteen, swim/craft, quiet time (everyone must go outside, read bible, journal, soak etc. no talking), hymn time, ball games, dinner, quick dip (cool off in pool), night games, night worship, dinner canteen, nighttime group devo, shower, bed.
These are so helpful for people going to camp for the first year, like me ! Thanks so much :)

Hi! For a different camp perspective, My camp schedule doesn’t have any periods. We have wake-up,thought for the day, breakfast,cabin clean up, interests groups (you can choose different groups of what you want to learn e.g swimming, canoeing, tents, fires, animals, etc.), free time (we can basically do any activities we want), lunch, program (group and cabin activities, free time again, dinner, free time, and then program.
I like it cuz it gives you a lot of freedom to what you wanna do. At camp America are you able to choose what activities you do doing the periods or are they assigned?

Hey!! Honestly you’re going to do amazing!! It is nerve wracking to start with but you’ll settle in no time! My camp was called Tyler hill, and I haven’t actually travelled after camp yet! I’ve done a lot of travelling round America already though, some of my faves are definitely New York, Florida, LA and Santa Monica 🤍

how did camp counsellors wake up early? we’re you guys allowed to set alarms on phones and stuff or were you expected just to wake up early without being woken?
Yes I used my phone to set alarms or my Apple Watch, some people bought actual alarms with them!
How long is like a night off like is it back for 12 o clock or back at the line up for next morning?
If it’s a night off where you don’t have a day off straight after you get around 3 hours off from 9:30pm. You’d be on duty from around 12:30 but you’re likely to just go straight to bed!
Would you be able to film a video about staying in contact with family back home while at camp? I would love to do this but am so nervous I’ll be so disconnected from my family back home while I’m there & it’s worrying me xx

@@melisalkann some camps will require this! But it’ll usually only be when you’re working, so if you had a period off or you got up early in the morning you’d be able to grab your phone and call home, definitely something to ask your camp about though! Xx
still obsessed w your camp videos💕💕 I would love to know if there’s ever been any drama between counselors? also, have any of the counselors ever had any serious issues with specific kids or any drama related stuff really💅🏻
Yay thankyou!! 🤍and honestly nothing that is actually serious at all, just unnecessary drama sometimes but usually over silly things that is solved really quickly!
