    So long as the neighbours are quiet, and there’s no children whatsoever 5555☺️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇹🇭

      @Nightbird. ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Deon,
      We have the same budget and needs..but I'm finding it hard to find a place.
      This place is actually a bit overpriced for what you're getting. And sadly..there are always children making loud noises in these places as they are geared for families..not single people or older folks who don't want kids around. The houses are so close together you will hear your neighbors laugh, argue & fight. And they will hear and spy on you too. You will also smell their cooking because they are too close to you and they love to cook with an open window or grill outside. If you can do without a garden your best bet for privacy and quiet is a condo. Some condos even come with enough balcony space for a small garden. I'm now looking for a condo by the ocean in Pattaya. I really don't want a condo because I want a garden and a pool..but if I have to get one I might as well be by the sea. Sadly..these builders are building smaller and charging more by the months it seems.

    Please make the kitchens bigger! This kitchen is smaller than what I have seen in tiny one bedroom apartments! ☹ Many foreigners love to cook, but this kitchen is so small there is no way I could comfortably cook in it, especially with my partner. If you want foreigners to buy your homes, you NEED to make the homes to their liking..not yours. We like BIG kitchens with lots of countertop space, lots of cabinets, a stove, and big double door refrigerator, and very importantly, a DISHWASHER! I keep seeing Thai homes without a dishwasher and I guarantee you many foreigners like myself will NOT buy a home without a dishwasher. 99% of modern American homes have ovens and dishwashers so please start installing them if you want American's to buy your homes. Please also make bigger gardens with taller walls for privacy because most of us do not want our neighbors seeing everything we do, we like our privacy. And that includes a solid front gate so people criminals cannot see our cars and property. Thank you!

    I do enjoy this girl's presentations, however, seeing as how this channel is called “Farang Homes” I really wish you guys would show some houses that are more appealing to Westerners. I never really cared for cookie cutter homes back in the USA and I really dislike them here in Thailand, particularly when they are typical Thai layouts. I know a few people have mentioned that they actually like this house, but believe me, no Westerner with an architectural background would like it do to the bizarre and space wasting layout, which is typical of Thai houses. You will notice the living area is extremely small, like that of a small condo, and yet the first bedroom is massive. You also have a massive amount of wasted square footage between the dining room and the kitchen in the back. Of course, some of this is due to cultural differences. For example, Thais seem to like having the kitchen hidden and out of the way, while Americans prefer an open concept layout which highlights a beautiful big kitchen. But cultural aspects aside, it's just an inefficient use of space from an architectural standpoint. You CAN find nice houses in Thailand however, like the one I used to live in in Rawai, Phuket. It was an excellent modern design and was built around a central swimming pool.

    • @ekimandersom4478

      The prices are farang 😂

    • @SLOBeachboy
      @SLOBeachboy ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ekimandersom4478 - I’m not sure you understand what the term “Farang pricing” actually means. An example of Farang pricing would be when I have to pay a much higher entrance fee to a national park than my Thai girlfriend. Real estate pricing however is solely determined by what the market in a particular area at a particular time will support. In other words it is determined by what people are willing to pay, and this is true wherever you go in the world. If a house is overpriced for the market it will either not sell at all or will take a very long time to sell. If it sells relatively quickly however this means that it was priced correctly. Of course since there are so many foreign buyers coming to Thailand - and since in the condo market only about half are available for foreign purchase - this creates a whole other real estate market within the overall market. So, its not a matter of Thais deciding to ask a high price in order to stick it to the foreigners but rather it’s a case of greater demand within this sub market driving up prices.

      @@SLOBeachboy I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this weird use of space. My budget is $1k USD for a monthly rental of a 3bd/2bth place..and I'm actually struggling to find one for the same reasons you listed. I also hate these cookie cutter homes..that are placed practically on top of each other..with no sizeable back yard..no enclosed parking..no high walls for privacy..and too far out from food markets and shopping. And nope..I don't consider being near a 7-11 "good shopping"..lol. So now I'm looking at condos in Pattaya..because if I have to be stuck in a condo I at least want an ocean view. Sadly..I can't find a home by the ocean with my budget..and it's only getting worst every year. I guess we have to build it ourselves if we want efficient use of space..but that sounds like a possible nightmare in Thailand.

    • @SLOBeachboy
      @SLOBeachboy ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Nightbird. - Well if you want an ocean view you definitely want to be looking at condos and not houses as pretty much all the ocean view lots in places like Pattaya and Phuket are occupied by condos. And as I already mentioned its much easier to find a well designed condo than it is a well designed house in Thailand anyway. And of course most houses do not come with access to a pool. That being said, it would be pretty much impossible to find an ocean view 3 bedroom condo (or any 3-bedroom condo) here in Phuket for what you want to pay. I am currently staying in a very large and very well designed two bedroom condo in a prime location on the southern tip of Patong Beach here in Phuket and I pay about $700 a month. But I got that deal during covid and now that Phuket has become overrun with foreigners once again my rent will be going up to over $1000 a month when my contract ends and so I will be moving to another place. Pattaya is a different story however and if you were only looking for a two-bedroom condo you would have an abundance of good choices. In fact have recently saw some nice two-bedroom units for about $400 a month in Pattaya. But you said you need a 3-beroom unit and unfortunately there are not really a lot of 3-bedroom condos out there so you might have a tough time ahead of you. Most people who need 3 or 4 bedrooms just opt for a house. As for building a house yourself that would be a good idea out in the countryside but not at the beach. After all, even if you could manage to find a lot with an ocean view which had not already been bought up by a developer to build condos it would cost you a small fortune to buy or leases it. And either way it would still be a nightmare and you would need to supervise every stage of construction to make sure the job is getting done right.
