Pete, you are genuinely a lovely person and listening to you is always a pleasure. The watch collection, IMO, is absolutely great! You have diversified with microbrands but cherry picking very good looking, well finished, timepieces. Keep up the great work mate!
I have a Horizon Pilgrim, which I was turned onto by your review. It has several unusual elements or details that are integratred into a very harmonious design, and the build quality is astounding.
The Heinrich Helicoprion is stunnuish. What a dial & and these cool colours. I bought the Lapis Lazuli Version, and i can say that you are getting a lot of value for the money. It is a unique watch because every stone dial is a little bit different. Well done in quality & design. ❤ 👏
Thank you for sharing, Pete. These are all examples of excellent microbrands. It's really amazing what these companies are producing. Fantastic video as usual. Be well my friend 👍
A new balanced watch collection, which is, I believe, a reflection of the personality and style of the collector, Mr. Peter Kotsa. Each timepiece included in this collection must probably respond to situations, desires and needs. I am always curious about how people live their watchmaking passion. Thanks
I like the Ocean to Orbit too, lovely clean lines and looks quality, and then the Wise..yumm, that is a right looker and I guess you wouldn't get bored as it patinates and changes. But out of these..that Direnzo 😍😍..maybe it's those FPJourne-esque hands, which I think are just lovely. Great lightning-quick tour Pete, some lovely kit 👍
Like yourself, I am trying to bring back my collection to two boxes of each 10 watches, with one box being for the ‘keepers’. But that is easier said than done! 😂 Nice selection, love the variety in colours and designs.
Chronograph complication is my favorite too! I find them the most interactive and because of the nature of the complication they can have so many unique designs. My personal chronograph is the Nivada Grenchen Chronomaster. I love Echo/Neutra I'm surprised they're not bigger yet. The people over at Artem pointed me to your channel and I'm glad they did.
Congrats on the 65K milestone Peter. The insight into your collection and what resonates for you is reward in itself, if somewhat voyeuristic. (in a good way).
Thanks for the look inside your micro box. You've introduced me to many brands I just would never have known about, particularly the German ones. Be well, brother.
This is the box that probably excites me more than the major brand box, but that's also because I feel reasonably comfortable fishing in this pond. I'm slightly disappointed to see the Pitzmann has left. I'm guessing the Ocean to Orbit got that spot given they kind of occupy the same genre. Many have now said how good that Ocean to Orbit is, but from screen and just in general design approach, I'm not feeling it, even if at a distance I have not criticism on the quality. For me the Heinrich, Wise, Horizon, Direnzo, all of these are absolutely great picks. I haven't gone with Horizon so far and I have come so close to ordering that Heinrich, but didn't. Why? Because I just know it's relative heft/chunkiness may make it a rather expensive big disappointment. Thinner with the compromise of 10atm, but similar stylistic impression? I probably would have fallen for it. The Bravur is another great one. I have two others of theirs which are genuinely great and supremely qualitative watches. The Team Heritage is possibly just aottle too sporty leaning for me. If I could pick one Nivada Grenchen... Right now I'd probably go with the 35mm Antarctic in eggshell, but some of the F77 variants also have their appeal. This tropic one may be very well executed, but it's not the one I'd pick. All in all, though, you're videos have proven to be an excellent guide on microbrands. Very helpful on my collecting journey and it's thus not a surprise that there is and has been a small bit of overlap, more so when considering it on brand level, and there are still other brands I'd appreciate owning. Yet, my last purchase went ... ... vintage... It's not with me yet, so we'll see how that goes.
Wanting OTF adjustable clasp is not nitpicking. It’s required at this price, and other brands are doing it at much lower prices. Great video, thanks! I loved the German one with the bolts around the flat bezel. 😋
@@typebflieger Watch brands don't make OTF clasps (apart from Rolex). Manufacturers do. All watch brands have to do is care about their customers and place an order.
Many interesting pieces from great microbrands, just one chrono(...which i find a lot!😋). Enjoy mate, although i feel this collection will change, as it happened to all the previous ones. PS Funny enough, that red dial Seiko S-Wave (SKX227) keeps coming to my mind when i recall your collections over the years. Fun, striking, great contrast, but the case and movement were bit off... Guess Heinrich took it's place! PS2 Wise to keep your Horizon... Mondial !!! Those 3 take my upvote, anytime. Maybe the Super Atlantic too. Bravur... 😜😂
@@PeterKotsa As i'm old enough, just a glance at my (normal?!😋) watch is enough, i can do the math... PS I Have some mecha-quartz chronos, just for the looks/cases, rarely (if at all...) use of their "function"
You have the best eye. I love them. Surprised you didnt keep the adamascus Wise 777 or whatever thas was from some videos back, silver metal case white dial brown leather strap.
2:00 vertical brushing does it for me - it's what made me stop finding the Calatrava boring with the 6119G, and I'm actually happy it's a technique rarely used on dials, I'd hate for its overuse to make it common and bland.
your watches sure look a hell of a lot like other brand's iconic watches, i saw a seamster, a grand seiko, an OP, and the snoopy from the thumbnail. And the detail was just lol
Peter...after watching the video, I'm wondering if we were separated at birth. 😎 I could see myself wearing or collecting every one of the watches in your collection. Every single one oozes stylish design and beautiful craftsmanship. Absolutely love your taste in timepieces. Thanks for the great video.
Stop teasing the Tusenö and just oops that glimpse already 😂 You're spot on about the bronze Wise AD8. 99% of reviewers show how to force patina. I'd like to thank you for being sensible, patient, and correct in advocating for natural patina. It's so classy.
Believe me I would love to show you that Tuseno but they have specifically asked me not to. Unfortunately I said ok and am a man of my word 😔😊😂 As for the bronze, its looking to be right on track 👍👍
Nice collection. We have something in common: The Direnzo DRZ04. I have mine with the white dial. As a fellow Aussie, where would you suggest is the best place to sell no-longer-loved watches? My collection has ballooned to over 80 now and I need a reality check and a big culling of the herd!
Since all orders from October are now shipped we still have a few left on pre-order currently. Take your chance 🙂 If you order now we will ship it 3rd week of February already. We start assembly very soon.
Echo/neutra is very nice, but I can't make heads or tails of the bezel. The Horizon Nemo is charming. The Gin Clear is solid, but there's a few design elements I'd change. I'd give it an applied logo and make the bezel markings less Submariner-like. But I love the other elements. The Ocean to Orbit Lhotse is a fantastic piece. What happened to the Jack Mason in the intro?!
For some reason I laughed too hard. Peter was telling sooo much about his 8-watch philosophy. How it takes effort not to exceed that amount. That if one watch goes in, another has to go out. And then.... SECOND WATCH BOX! )))
😂 I’m good with my watches generally, however some of these having hardness treated cases they really wear well 👌 The Nivada I have dropped onto tiled floor…twice It’s got two separate dents on the lugs, but the movement is running bang on
Haven't sold i yet ..I just took it out of the watch box and placed it back in its own original box for now... I am thinking about what to do with it, whether I move it on or not If I miss it, the it will go back in this watchbox and replace something else. If not then i will sell it 👍
Quite underwhelming, if I'm being totally honest. So many brands - Formex, Depancel, Beaufort, Traska, Tutima, Nezumi, etc (the list is endless) - to choose from instead. And such great designs.
Pete, you are genuinely a lovely person and listening to you is always a pleasure. The watch collection, IMO, is absolutely great! You have diversified with microbrands but cherry picking very good looking, well finished, timepieces. Keep up the great work mate!

Awesome collection Peter! Thanks for sharing, lots of unsung heroes. The ocean to orbit is my pick of the bunch. Warm regards
cheers Alex 👍
Love the organic nature of the collection. The collection is cool mate. Beautiful
👌
The Ocean to Orbit is the one I like the most.👍
Bought one after I saw Peters review on it and I have no regrets. Now on a Artem strap - perfect combo!
Horizon Nemo looks so cool!

Ahhh... a collection that interest me the most. Such unique and great pieces Pete.
Direnzo and O2O are my favorite.
Bot are stunning pieces IMO 🔥🔥
Love the Vivid Colors of the Heinrich and Direnzo, and love that Box too. Great Video, keep the Good work.

When are you popping in for that coffee ☕️
Peter I liked that echo/nutra when you first did the video about it. Very nice piece. Thanks for another great tour of part of your collection.
Cheers Anthony, yeah it is a nice practical piece to wear for sure 👍

That so called OTF won't stop us from buying our favorite watches. There's lot of junk out there that have OTF, doesn't really mean a thing.
The watch with the bolts around the flat bezel is the Helicoprion Carnelian. Only a few are left if you are interested 🙂
Agreed I have a tisell 36 explorer homage 240$ with tf clasp no excuse should be standard
Sure. Unless it’s a butterfly clasp. Not a simple clasp for OTF micro adjust. Most microbrands don’t have the money to R&D that.
@@typebflieger Watch brands don't make OTF clasps (apart from Rolex). Manufacturers do. All watch brands have to do is care about their customers and place an order.
Fantastic video Peter. Lots of change from your last micro SOTC! I’d love to know where you flip your watches…maybe it’s best I don’t know!😂 cheers!

Hahaha, Ive had the second watch box for some time :))
I shared a few vids last year and I think the year before too 😊
I have a strict rule for my second watch box and it's supposed to be only G-Shock! and 8 is definitely never enough😄
All watches are looking brand new, no marks or cratches. Are you even waering them, or did they just sit in the case?
😂

The watches and video is great, but something is off with the audio here, a static or slight distortion can be heard throughout.
Oh I didn't notice, i will have to check whats happened..thanks for the heads up 👍
The typeface that Nivada chose for their brand name is so unfortunate. Every time I see it all I see is Nando's 😆
Go out for a cheeky … Nivada? No, not quite the same ring to it 😂
I want to know what didn't even make the watchbox and is laying around in drawers. We all have those.
Hahaha...👍
Did you see that Timex just released a $1,900 watch ? 😳
The real question comes the day when you realize that you wear your microbrands all the time and your major brand watches stay in the sock drawer.
😮😂😂
