Why tho? S5 has better graphics, better setting and more immersive maps, way more guns and gun customization, better and more realistic ghillie suits, and the inclusion of Axis Invasion
Honestly, as long as the game has the loud “ping” when you headshot an enemy wearing a helmet, that’s good enough for me. Pretty much Garand Ping levels of satisfaction
I respect that and I don't think people realize that sniper elite 5 has a more detailed x-ray kill the long you hold your breath before you fire the long you hold before you release the more detailed it is with the rifle anyways. Well at least that I've noticed but I only play axis invasion so maybe I'm wrong 🤷🏻♂️
@@pc6054 Axis invasion is basically you can invade players who are doing their singleplayer story and hunt them down. They can kill you, or you can kill them. You play as a German soldier and the more kills you get the better weapons and skins and stuff you get to use.

In my opinion it is the most authentic out of the series and has great atmosphere and music. Plus it has a scoped M1 Carbine, what other WW2 game lets you snipe with an M1 Carbine?
Have you actually played any other sniper elite besides 2? ? I think not they remastered the 2nd sniper elite it still was even more of a big pile of shit.

@@Rogue_Sniper you can do a lot more in 4. Like melee whenever you want comes to mind. And the xray has improved so theres that too. I also like the soundtrack and the environment in 4. But thats more of an opinion imo. I like the nature and relaxing feel into it, like all the forestation and greens in 4 while in 2 it’s all in ruins and destruction. And this is more of a nitpick but i also like the power and the sound the weapons make in 4, really makes you feel powerful. Im a big fan of weapon sound and reload animation in games.

I played both games and enjoyed them. The old game was pretty easy but had some cool things in it. It was so detailed that they even had a grenade explode if you shot one on someone's belt. The newer one was pretty hard put a liked the graphics. My first kill i got in SE5 gave me the achievement for killing someone by shooting them in the nuts from over 100 meters. Who remembers gold bars?
Obviously graphics are older on V2 but it’s still a modern game. Came out in 2012 and holds up incredibly well. I think 3 is my favorite. I’m playing 4 now and it’s not as big a leap as I was hoping. Basically just SE3 with bigger maps
I prefer the simplicity of V2. The newer ones have too much going on with the X-ray and it's hard to tell what's happening. I'd rather see the skull shattering and the brain being revealed and blown apart instead of just seeing the brain getting hit.
I played in the order of SE3, SE4 then V2, and I prefer V2. I think the sandbox stages of 4 was so large that missions dragged on for too long. The wind and gravity was so exaggerated that a paintball gun could shoot straighter. SE3 was just really glitchy. V2 was linear but it had the advantage of being more action packed. Also never felt like I needed a red diamond to tell me where to aim. It was much easier to correct shots because you could see a trail behind your bullet and see what you hit much easier.
3 and 4 were great as well!! I love how the levels are lengthy!! I wish there was more that I could do like steal a tank or something. Anyways I did find some glitches the 5th game I think they rushed it
I have played all the SE games except SE5. I have watched many TH-cam videos of other folk playing I am unimpressed. At first, I hated the invasion aspect until I learned you could turn it off. Then I came back to hate it because the game penalizes the player for "camping." And it has tools in the game to help an incompetent player discover your location. This could've been the greatest aspect of the game but they ruined it by taking the realism out of it.
V2's Xray's were more satisfying due to the simplicity and the smooth bullet transition from rifle to body and out. 3 and onwards the Bullet in my opinion always felt too unrealistic and is basically punching your enemies with a bullet. Its still awesome but but the smoothness of V2 makes feel more satisfying
I agree with you. From 3 to 5 sometimes the bullets punched the enemies, too unrealistic and almost as a cartoon. I played the whole franchise and I noticed that in V2 the cinematics shots were better, they focused on the bullet path even after exiting the soldier, if you managed to kill multiple enemies with one bullet it even had ricochets and in rare instances it stoped on the body. We need full ballistics like in ARMA for the sixth game.
Dev: develop the game for gaming Company. Player: play the game. Moral of the story: ask this to the franchise developer, not a player than Just play the game.
I think people tend to forget just how little freedom you had on the older games 5 is almost like a sandbox id sacrifice less satisfying kill a infinitely more replayable game
Everyone saying that 4 is the best... When in reality 3 is the best because it is more realistic. Unlike 4 where I shoot a man in the chest, he is not only disoriented, but also Shoot again! While in 3, the guy receives a rifle shot in the chest and falls with serious injuries.
Yeah that was one thing i hated about SE3 was the co-op missions. If you didnt have a lot of friends who played the game then you were out of luck. Whereas with SE2 it didnt matter, whomever was online at the time and wanted to play, the game would pair you up and you'd go in. There are co-op boards on SE3 I believe I never got to play or only played once or twice because I couldnt find anyone to play with.

That little spund at the end of V2, i think, is the best sound that has been used in a kill cam

It’s just that before they showed you the skull cracking. Now they show you the brains. I admit I prefer the skull as well. It’s more crunchy.
The bone one will always be more satesfying. But both are a cool feature to have in this game.
