It’s all about quality in the end. Fast charging usb-c, feels like it will last for good while, key press feel is responsive, keys feel great in general, the extra function row at the top is really handy, the Logitech Options software is great. If you plug this in at the end of the week/work week then the five month charge (which isn’t even bad) will not matter. I have the regular MX Keys and have been taking it to work with me and have been wanting a mini version, even though I like using a key pad. Another big reason I would get the mini is for that mic mute button. I would probably remap the emoji button though.
@@coelhoph Backlighting isn't that important. The Apple Magic keyboard doesn't have it either. (Turn on a light, or learn to touch type...) Even if most Microsoft keyboards aren't premium but generic or cheap ones, they have shown they can certainly make good or great keyboards if they want to. At least when it comes to chiclet-style boards. The surface laptop is known for having ones of the best laptop keyboards around, and the Designer Compact, while being generic, is great value for money.
Been using my MX keys mini for a week now and love it. Only negatives are that it’s a bit pricey and there are no keys for controlling screen brightness. For that I just hijacked the brightness for backlit keys controls and configured them for screen brightness
They could’ve easily get rid of the emoji/emoticon & screenshot keys, and it would’ve been perfect! Now that you mention it .... hmmm ... I’m at a dilemma, current mx keys user here. I also have the Apple Magic Keyboard which I’m not completely in love with the feel of typing but am considering to sell it to buy this one, but would have to sacrifice the screen brightness keys. Lol
I love the MX Series (i have 3 mx series product mice and keyboard) but i did not buy this stuff. why? Lag of full size arrow key. Very important to me most of key i used is arrow key to move curser type and edit.

I have spoken to the folks at Logitech and they have confirmed on several occasions that the key material is identical on MX Keys and MX Keys mini. I am surprised that you state that the quality is superior. In what way do you see that quality leap?. Having said that, the quality of your videos is great. Congratulations!
The overall quality definitely feels better. Maybe because my MX Master Keys are older but the MX mini feels more robust. The keys don't feel they "wiggle" as much and the finish of the case is much improved.

I just got the mx keys keyboard and mx anywhere 3 mouse. I got it at the same time I purchased a new mac mini. What a pain it was to get my Mac set up. The keyboard doesn't work until you pair it with your computer.. and you can't do that unless the computer is already set up. I ended up having to borrow a wired keyboard to set up my Mac before I could use the Logitech keyboard. But now that its set up.. it works great.
1:38 pressing Win+. is more convenient. An emoji button is only useful if you didn' t know that 😄 But luckily it can be mapped to something useful with Options+
This keyboard looks like the keyboard for me! On Windows, how can we access the Home/End/PgUp/PgDown keys though? Is it through Fn+Arrow keys combinations?
I thought the FN + Left Arrow Key was 'Home', FN + Right Arrow Key was 'End', FN + Up Arrow Key was 'Page Up' and FN + Down Arrow Key was 'Page Down'. At least it is on some other Logitech keyboards, could be wrong for the MX Series though.
I can confirm that fn + left acts like a home button, and fn + right acts like end button. Not sure about page up and page down. I will check and answer later
1:56 5 months is nice, but other keyboards out there without built in batteries are rated for up to 36 months. (MS Desgner compact) Yes. 3 years! I'm not sure why this only has 5 months in comparison. Maybe it runs the BT/2.4Ghz antenna at a higher power to have better connectivity.
Question: is it possible to put it on top of a laptop(e.g. Macbook pro)? Does the rubber stand at the bottom stand on the frame(of laptop keyboard) instead of triggering any keys on the laptop?
due to the fact that logi bolt is not included with keyboard ms keys mini, if i am buying mouse mx master 3 for business (that include logi bolt) can i connect both device (keyboard and mouse) with the same logi bolt i found in the box of mouse? Thanks in advance for your time and reply

I don’t think they feel rubbery but they have enough tactility for me to know that the press has registered . Key sound isn’t anything out of the ordinary to be honest.

It seems like they're both approximately the same size, and the layout look somewhat similar. So far it's hard to validate the big price difference, especially since I would consider adding on the Bolt receiver. Would love to hear your feedback. Thanks!
I was using the k380 for a few weeks before swapping out for the mx keys mini and after using the mini for a few days it’s definitely better. Much more comfortable to type plus good backlighting. Don’t have the bolt receiver yet so using Bluetooth
I didn't like the anywhere 3! It wasn't comfortable for me, as I couldn't rest my head palm on the mouse, as compared to the m590 silent that i got for free! I think they could improve on ergonomics of the mouse while it being portable.

The possibility of using j, k, l and i as arrow keys while holding fn would make this keyboard fantastic for programming. Not taking your hand of the home row ever when navigating code. This is a huge missed oppurtinity by logitech in my opinion. A mini keyboard really benefits from this kind of functionality. Assigning custom shortcuts to fn- and alt-layers. Layers could be customized in the Options+ software. But I guess I have to try to make due with the buggy preview version of PowerToys for now, or learn Autohotkey.

I like holding my keyboard in my hand it would have been nice if you had given me the size of it. I have looked at so many keyboards & none of them ever give the size. I need something just over 4 inches x 11. My last keyboard lasted only a week. I need a keyboard that will last over a year & has a well-lighted keyboard & I don't need a mouse, but if I have to, I will stick it in the drawer, I would appreciate it if you could help me I have looked for days
Can't understand why they keep reducing the arrow keys to such miserably small size :/ They could have done the true 75% layout with the extra column to the right with the pgup/pgdn/home/end and have proper arrow keys too.
You completely left out the biggest issue with this keyboard. Logitech basically forces you to buy their new bolt USB receiver. You can't even use the cable to connect to your PC it's only for charging. Bluetooth works but is hit or miss depending on what Bluetooth receiver you have. You really need to let your viewers know about things that will cost them extra money and even worse just plain frustration, it's literally your main job as tech TH-cam channel.
I’d still prefer the full one even on the go. Btw, watching the video have a different feel. Like watching a telenovela with the voice not matching what I’m seeing.
I use a keychron keyboard which is really good it even supports mac and its mechanical they have a bunch of keyboards in a lot of sizes and the good thing is that all of them supports mac and windows i would recommend if you want a good keyboard
Never will reduced rise keyboard be as capable as full-size. You're either lying to us or to yourself. I honestly don't know what's worse. And for work related tasks a full-size keyboard is always superior than castrated joke everyone love so much these days. They only viable alternative to full-size is TKL. You may love smaller keyboards or may hate them, but they will always have less functionality. It's not an opinion, it's just fact. Less keys = less functionality.

More importantly, I think your Caps Lock is broken. The Logitech MX keys mini is a great solution. Just a friendly recommendation.

Jeez Logitech, should of made it at least $10-$20 cheaper since it removes the number pad and USB receiver that would fit into MX Keys.
