- Rasam is a south Indian spicy watery dish which is taken on a daily basis.
It is also consumed as a soup in the winter season due to its hot, and tangy flavor.
Rasam is considered by many as an instant digestive mantra.
Ingredients:
1. Tomatoes: 5-6
2. Tamarind Pulp: 1 1/2 cup
3. Garlic Cloves: 8-9
4. Jeera: 1 tbsp
5. Black Pepper: 1 tbsp
6. Curry Leaves: Handful
7. Salt: As per your taste
8. Oil: 3 tbsp
9. Coriander Leaves: Handful
10. Water: 2 cups

How much tamarind we should use to make paste
When you soak 1/2 cup of tamarind in water for 15 to 20 mins, you will get tamarind pulp 1 - 1 and 1/2 cup easily. Use tamarind pulp based on the tanginess you want in your Rasam.
