Now that there are more kits, I'd really like to see the Sims bundle them. Like, put three of them together and knock the price down a bit. Because then I might be more inclined to buy some.

I loved when they did that with Sims 2 packs. They would be like "University Life Bundle" and have the university expansion pack + 2 stuff packs. The Sims 2 Deluxe Edition had base game + Night Life EP + 2 Stuff Packs, one for parties and the other for formal celebrations if I'm not mistaken.

I think they are like almost 8 dollars here in Australia and I’m like why lol. The sims is so expensive that’s why I love the free downloadable clothes and stuff online.

I'm still not over the death of stuff packs. The stuff packs felt so much more filled out with stuff for multiple uses.
Well it makes sense they had more stuff when they’re more expensive than kits.
They finally added gameplay elements to stuff packs and then trashed them.
@@rachelcookie321 Yeah. But people loved stuff packs and paid what was asked for them with no issue. Kits are just money grabs and when they release them CONSTANTLY you’re paying as much or more than you would have for a stuff pack with more features.

I came to say that it seems very her. When simsie said she was expecting it to be more cutesy, I was like "this is almost exactly what I expected," it's adorable and I love the stuff.
Don't get me wrong this kit seems lovely and I think the work done on it is great and I love the fact that they are working with game changers and modders and CC creators, but I just feel really wrong buying kits especially as most peoples and my own game is so broken I can barely play.
It just feels kinda seedy to me that EA are releasing more content whilst the game is unplayable for a lot of people. It feels as if EA doesn't care / doesn't want to fix things (see dine out, my wedding stories or the fact it took over a year for dream home decorator to get a major fix) and it feels like it has reached a major tipping point for me.
I feel like the only way EA will respond is if we stop buying new releases until they make some chances.
Pixelade has a video out about that exact thing with a petition you can sign.

I like the clothes and Jenn collabing definitely made it look good, but $5 for something EA knows is lacking from the game and pretty much every pack is like... just capitalizing on an issue *they've* created
I guess it depends on the person. I already think we have a lot of CAS stuff. We're lacking in boy clothes for me. But usually I can easily dress my sims and like the way they look.

I think what everyone assumes or maybe they forget, is that kits, are not meant to appeal to the masses. They are meant to fill in your game with content that you like, and they don't expect everyone to buy them (unless you are like me and you have to have a complete game, but that's my quirk and I live with it). So if you don't like a kit - EA knows that this isn't everyone's forte, not everyone is going to care about more kids clothes, because some people legit never play with kids, or seldom play with kids, so they wouldn't care about more kids clothes, while those that do would love this pack.

I also remember I hardly ever had my Sims attend other Sims' birthday parties because then the birthday Sim in the other household would age up at their party, and I usually didn't want the other Sim to age up yet for one reason or another. I guess that's why it was taken out of the game.
No one should be buying any Sims dlc while the game we've paid for is still so broken. I think that should have been the main point of this video.
Now with that said... it's funny how so much of this (the jackets, sweaters, beanie etc) would have been really good as adult menswear, and instead they released that really weird menswear kit.
I completely agree, when I heard they were making a kit for mens clothing I was expecting more stuff like this than the weird designer clothing that they made.
A lot of the clothes in this reminded me of Adidas

Exactly my thought. I can fill that void with cc, thankfully, but if they release an age-based kit, I expect some good basic clothing choices in it as well. Also...where is the Red in that collection that should be colorful? 😭
Hi simsie! I think it’s equally as important to address how most games, including mine, are so broken it’s nearly unplayable even still after the updates (which failed to fix any significant base game bugs).
I think it’s important for bigger sims creators to make noise and boycott future sims 4 content to effectively get EA’s attention to address these issues. Sims 4 is a comfort game for me, and now I can’t even load any of my save files without something going wrong. Please try talking about this more, bigger influencers have the voice to make this change. But I do understand how you have to rely on sims content to continue with this channel and that it can difficult to navigate. Thank you so much! 🧡

I appreciate you for coming at this in a respectful way. It's honestly frustrating for all parties that people who don't actually have any control over the game are being seen as some form of overloards over the game and how it works. I don't personally think it's fair to put the hands of TS4 in creators who have very little true power internally, but I understand why people feel like they could help.

as much as i adore this kit and overall think it was a good concept, i do believe that it was really immature on EA's part to release this whenever the majority of simmers still don't have a playable game or aren't able to even do the simple task of logging on at this point because it makes them look like they don't even care about the playability/accessibility of their game and they probably won't until people stop paying for busted content that we know will never be fixed.

And until simmers stop buying DLC to make a point and until voices like Simsie stop promoting all her followers to continually buy and support EA, we'll continue in this abusive cycle. It starts with us "voting with our wallets" and the Sims creators we supposedly love and trust to have our best interest in mind to grow a spine and a sense of morals instead of greed or fear for calling out the Sims for consistently abusing its consumers
Are there people who are unable to log into the game? From my understanding most of the major bugs that were completely breaking the game are fixed and most people can play the game now.
While I totally understand what you’re saying a big thing with the sims is that everyone’s working on different projects. The team whose job is to put out packs is not the same one that works on bug fixes etc. So the dlc people have to keep putting out stuff even if the game play people don’t have everything together. Unfortunately the sims isn’t a collective and making kits is probably easier then bug fixes.
I can get while you're saying this.... but a, it was already planned. and b, different people work on different things. the people making packs are different than the ones fixing bugs.

this seems really cool for children you want to look closer to teenhood IMO. would like to see some more things in between the super childish and super teen-ish stuff.
though I'm not gonna buy anything for the sims until they finally fix things anyway.
(this sounds very critical, but I do love all these clothes. CAS is my favorite thing, and I usually play with big families. so once I get this its gonna be GREAT and everything else will be cc for now)
i wish so badly that they would make the backpacks accessories, that way you could add/remove them to any outfit like you would jewelry

this kit looks cute, the collaborator did a good job and it's nice to see child sims get some love.
however, like many other simmers I will not be purchasing this kit or any future content until I see improvement in transparency and bug fixes.
I really love this game but it's become unplayable and I think we deserve better as paying consumers.

They’re clearly insanely good quality, but this kit just feels like they converted Incheon Arrivals to child frames. The style and color palate is very similar, and one of the jackets is basically identical. That’s not inherently a bad thing, Incheon Arrivals is the best CAS kit imo, but it just feels like an odd choice for a kid’s kit? If the color palate had more colorful and childlike options I think it would’ve helped a lot. I’m keeping flashbacks to Modern Menswear, which we all hoped would scratch an itch we’d been harping on but instead it created an almost new itch and scratched that instead. Not a perfect analogy since femme clothes for masc frames were sorely needed, but it definitely was not what people meant when they were asking for more masc clothes.
I liked that this kit was gender neutral and could be matched with other colorful items, and that having an incheon arrival for kids is great, but the whole idea of a kit is bust 😔
I agree with you. I really don't mind the coherent look of this kit, but some actual kids clothes with dinosaur prints, etc are much needed. Heck, there isn't even a lot of cc that scratches that itch.
Instead of keep releasing new kits they should refresh the old packs as they did with spa day and as they promised us. Like, mermaids and aliens really need to be updated bcs they are boring af. They should also update some packs that after years are still bugged and almost unusable.
If only they’d FINALLY make the game playable. I haven’t bought any packs or played since Cottage Living came out because I refuse to keep giving them money when they don’t listen to us.

I am so over EA wanting us to drop even more money on an incredibly expensive game that barely works. People need to stop throwing money at them until they fix the game.
Not only have kits been a poorly implemented idea from the very beginning, more clothes doesn’t really mean much if we can’t even play the game properly. No hate towards Jenn (or the devs for that matter) EA just needs to fix their crap and get their priorities straight.

All the love to the creator who helped make this kit. However, I'm not ok with buying anything from EA at this point. Also these clothes are too pastel for anything I see on kids these days, at least where I live. Why is the only "backpack" a purse backpack and not a real one like the kid is going to school with books or a laptop? That would have been way cooler in my opinion. Anyway, I'm not giving them my money till I can play in CAS and my sims are fully visible; I can switch between sims in live mode and it not lag for 20 seconds; and my sims can go on dates with people who show up.
Honestly I don't think the backpack is intended to be a school backpack. As someone in school currently kids definitely wear the purse backpack and usually either carry their bigger items or have a regular backpack.
I think the kids age is like 10-14??? in the Sims and kids that age in my area definitely would wear that kind of stuff.
Anyway EA is a bit,, ??? currently I agree on that

@@2soda_ I know it isn't intended to be a school backpack. Purse backpacks were cool when I was in school, I had one. But for the sims, I think it would be cuter for them to real backpacks. That's my opinion.
I'm very happy that they're continuing to collab with simmers, but I for one won't be giving EA any more money until they've fixed the game breaking bugs for everyone.

Sadly there’s never gonna be enough people behind it for it be affective. Even if all of Kayla’s viewers agreed to not buy packs, that’s only a small fraction of the sims community. Even if all the viewers of all the major sims youtubers agreed, there’s still tons of people playing the sims who don’t watch the TH-camrs. EA is still going to be making plenty of money. Realistically we’ll never be able to rally enough people to not buy anymore packs.

@@rachelcookie321 I don't think that's true at all. Yeah lilsimsie's viewers are tiny fraction of the total number of people who buy/play the sims. However lilsimsie's viewers are disproportionately BIG fans of the Sims 4. Many of Kayla's viewers will have bought every single pack for the Sims 4, spending over £1000. Many will preorder every pack before they even release. They will also play the game regularly and engage with The Sims on social media (both important for EA's figures). This is not true for the average Sims 4 player. We've seen how quickly the Sims Team actually address issues when the Game Changers collectively call them out (e.g. skin tones, Wedding pack). If the Game Changers and extended Sims youtube community agreed to boycott all packs it would have a HUGE impact on the Sims 4's incoming profits and would also garner a lot of negative media attention.

The game isn’t broken for everyone. It’s fine for me and I don’t have any bugs or glitches so why should I not buy the new kit if I like it. Y’all act like your experiences and feelings towards EA are universal and they aren’t.
Pretty disappointing some of the big creators aren’t taking a stand and refusing to buy any more packs until EA becomes more transparent and fixes these critical bugs.

It looks nice, but my game is broken since the last update so I can't use ANY of the packs. You seem really lovely, but I'd love to see game changers raising awareness and standing up for us game players who invested a lot of money into a game we can no longer play. A pack that's unusable shouldn't be celebrated.

That's what I was thinking, I work in a primary school with kids aged 8-9 and whenever we have non uniform days they mostly come dressed in bright colours and bold patterns, these clothes seem more suitable for tweenagers
this is great and all, but the game is still very broken.. so it’s extremely inappropriate for EA to still be releasing stuff like everything is fine. we can’t expect change if we keep buying these things (unfortunately not everyone will do that and i understand).. but we also can’t keep promoting this stuff and giving it attention because EA will just assume we’re satisfied when we’re not overall. the items are cute but now is not the time honestly
I wish Sims 4 would start fixing major bugs and stop making kits for things that should just be in the basegame/part of a pack.
And idk if its just me, but my debug objects menu has decreased by about... 1000 objects I fear (I'm not even over exaggerating)? Maybe that's just an issue with my Sims 4, but it's also quite annoying since I love adding the shells lmao
Everyone keeps saying that beanie is 'so cute' but its actually extremely basic. The nifty knitting beanies are way cuter. IDK this kit out of all the kits Ive seen come out is the most pointless and just why? You can find nicer CAS clothes for kids from CC. I do agree the little campers kit was cute as heck. This one seems like a lazy cash grab. They spent more thought and energy on the kit promotions than the actual content. I could be bias too because I dont spend much time at all in CAS and I lean more toward building/play.
For y’all wondering where the stuff packs went…it’s cause you keep buying their kits. It gives you the illusion that you’re saving more, when you’re actually buying more. You see a ton of cheap lil kits and go berserk buying them.
They’re selling better than stuff packs. So until y’all stop throwing money at these corporate hogs, expect to see more kits than packs :)

Kayla, you and the other TH-camrs should be able to talk to the team/gurus and tell them this is not a bearable situation ANYMORE. We cannot keep supporting and paying them for the miserable treatment we are enduring (and themselves too from EA!). 😢 Please we have to do something TOGETHER!

I think this kit is really cute and im glad they are collaborating with more people in the community but I'm just saddened by EA's lack of transparency with so many players not being able to play properly because of bugs. Issues that are most likely not even going to be fixed unless big creators/a huge number of the sims community speaks out. I love sims so much but it really discourages me to play the game at this point because of the amount of problems that I encounter. I'm going to do my part and not purchase anything from EA until something changes.

@@morgandidion7177 There are so many but a bunch that affect me are:
- Everyone is constantly asking to be my bff
- Adults asking my teen sim to be their date/be in a relationship
Those two are from the new hs years pack ^^
- even if I beat my sims fears it always comes back constantly and when you disable the feature it re enables itself
- some weird lag where my sim teleports to areas instead of walking
- the game cancelling actions you assign so I keep on having to reselect them
There's a huge list of issues other people are experiencing that I'm thankfully not in my own game, but the bugs really end up being so annoying after awhile :(
Then don't play. Not that hard
@@steffier.2533 it’s frustrating. I haven’t played in months because I was losing interest/felt like there was nothing to do outside of CAS. Then the wedding pack came out and was SO bad that I still haven’t picked back up playing because it seems like a hot mess ☹️

yeaahhh, i’m not a kits person. if i want new clothes i just get maxis match cc. there’s so many more options and there’s a lot of dedication from cc creators. wayyyyy more worth it than a 5$ kit with clothes that probably exist within cc. and i can get more

Hey Simsie, I respect that you rely on sims content for this channel, and that makes things difficult, but I really hope you'll help speak out on how broken the game is right now. You have the platform to actually help incite change with the Sims games, and there are a lot of people feeling very helpless right now. Several people's games have been completely broken for months while EA tries to distract with kits like dangling shiny keys.

these kits are great if you don't/can't download CC. Console players can't really say they don't have clothing/objecra if TS team keeps putting up kits like these left and right
Yeah no I’m not hyped about this at all. Sure the items are cute but EA has shown their true colors more than ever now, trying to make money off of new content when alot of players literally can’t even play the game because there’s just an insane amount of bugs in a game that should NOT have them considering the size of EA and the resources they have. Imo this pack should’ve gone by without even being acknowledged at all, it sucks for the creator that helped making it but EA is just counting on this driving the attention away from their shitty behaviour and that’s where the attention needs to be. We shouldn’t be giving this new content ANY attention before the content we already have actually works

I hate the fact that having like plain white socks can be made trendy if they simply have a logo. A logo should not count as "something cool on a piece of clothing" in my opinion, because that reduces the wearer to a billboard for the company of said logo. You're not even being paid for the advertising space, YOU PAID TO BE AN ADVERTISING SPACE and I hate everything about this concept.

I am soooooo happy for Jenn! I'm sure she's been working on this kit for a while but after everything that happened recently with her channel, this collab is such a well-deserved win! She curated such cute stuff too, and I think it's cool that they worked with someone who's known for sim creation and especially family gameplay (as well as being a real life mom lol), she clearly knew what the kids clothing section was lacking. As much as the kits are kinda scummy on EA's part, I do appreciate when they make a kit like this or the blooming rooms kit: something that not every player might need but that fill gaps in the catalogue for console players or pc players who don't use mods. I agree with the comments though that it would definitely be nice if they offered a kit bundle like they do bigger packs. I think my favorites from this are the beanie, the backpack sweater, and the dress with the t-shirt underneath!
They kind of could've just combined this kit with the kids outside build kit and added in some gameplay for a stuff pack, instead of all of the separate kits... (also there is a smart watch for adult sims)
I can play the game, but others are having issues playing the game. Feels wrong they keep selling packs when alot of people can't even play. Also why charge $5 for something they should have had in the game to start.. but I appreciate all the hard work you put into your videos
I’ve said this a few times and my opinion stands: I love the idea of kits. I know most sims TH-camrs don’t approve, but I feel like it’s a great option to people who don’t get to buy all other packs but would like a few extra things for 5 bucks. I know it sucks for completionists but for me, personally, is great, cause I get to buy a cheapER “pack” and still have new things to the game. I really think it’s supposed to be a niche thing, in the sense where people, most likely, wouldn’t buy ALL the kits, just the ones they’re interested in. Just my opinion, wanted to throw it out there.
i completely agree. I can shell out 5 bucks easily when i want to spice up gameplay and inspire new ways to play/create. i cant say the same for content that costs 20-40 bucks.
I agree, as a parent would be easy to get the base game and maybe a new kit per mont for my son and he would have the "taste" of different packs.
I agree to an extent. I think that kits are good for parents with young children who play the game… but on the other hand if you want to spice up your game & actually get value for your money… save $5-$10 per month & buy a better pack with the money saved.
Agreed. Lots of the kits have the same number of items as stuff packs and sometimes the gameplay items in the stuff packs were not worth that extra $5. Some of them aren't worth $5 a pop but I don't feel pressured to buy all of them, just the ones I need. I also feel like the sims community is experiencing mass amnesia because they were charging this much and more for singular ITEMS in the sims 3 store

I’ve seen some complaints that the colours are very dull, but I actually like that they’re more neutral. It’s easier to match with other packs that way.
Yesss, like some of all the others clothes from the rest of the packs are so vibrant, my eyes need to relax

The clothes look lovely. But considering the game is currently more broken than ever before I won't buy any DLC at all, and especially no overpriced kit.

this truly isn't supposed to be hateful, but I'm personally really not a big fan that big sims youtubers continue to basically advertise for this kind of stuff right after ea quite literally showed how little they care about the community, tbh I'm a bit disappointed that especially big, influencial youtubers like simsie don't take a stance against this and show ea, that continuing to release expensive content when even the basegame isn't playable atm, idk, it really doesn't sit right with me.

@@atinyevil1383 Yeah in honesty it might just make EA stop supporting the sims 4 completely if they see it isn’t bringing in profits. It’s a big 50/50 either it works and the quality of the game improves or they just drop it.

Yeah I mean no shade towards her at all but all of these huge youtubers that profit off the sims and get most of their stuff for free need to step up and say something about the virtually unplayable game instead of kissing ass every time they release content that you have to pay for with an already $1k+/- game

Literally just stop buying packs and stuff until EA fixes what’s wrong with the game. If we keep giving them money they won’t fix it. Even the new patch update didn’t do much for people who can’t even get on the game.
Kits are great for console players,. but I don't get why pc players would pay for kits when there's so much quality stuff out there already for free or like a dollar a month.
Well they don’t have to pay for them. Maybe they were aiming it at console players but they wanted to give the option to pc players just in case they want them too.

The thing with kits; a lot of times it feels like items that wouldve fit nicely in certain packs, but they pulled a few items out purely so they could make a kit that'd make a little more profit.
I believe there's a smartwatch that comes with snowy escape and possibly one that is base game

I ADORE all of this, but... I also feel like I OWNED all of this like 20 years ago. Ouch. And I totally understand the hesitation about spending $5 on this. I earn more now and don't think twice about $5, but it wasn't so long ago that I would have struggled to pull together even that small amount!
stop buying kits, make it a statement that as creators you won't be purchasing anymore content until ea stops starting new dlc projects and focuses on fixing broken content we've already paid for. everybody at the sims teams should be working towards fixing bugs.

Honestly, I'm done with Sims. After all the bugged and broken stuff they've released with absolutely no explanation I'm not giving another cent to their content. I'm just going to uninstall it and just wait for Paralives at this point. I don't even want an apology, I just want them to either fix their game or just stop completely. I don't even want Sims 5. With everything that's happened how can we even be sure that it won't be as broken, if not more, than Sims 4? Honestly, I think the only thing EA cares about is the fact that we buy their stuff, not that it's broken; and that's honestly really really sad...

It’s essentially adult clothing but small. Or ‘pre teen / early teen who pretends to be older than they are’. The clothes are really lovely though.
With the amount of kits that are out now, I’d really love to see them tagged in CAS & BB into each individual kit as they are with the rest of the DLCs. When I go to filter by pack, it’s so frustrating to have to dig through all kit items.
this is what a good kit. I like kits that just add $5 worth of new styles that would never have been placed in a full game back or expansion.
