Do not despair Nemona! We've made a few videos about how to make friends - make sure to check it out and join our Facebook group if you want to meet people!
@@MakeThatChange Thank you, it's been fine considering that I'm still doing my mandatory quarantine at the moment. The info you gave out in this video is and will be useful when the quarantine is done.
It’s closer to volunteering. We’re just doing it because we like it. There’s a very small income that we do get from TH-cam ads, but that amount is insignificant especially given that we spend at least 15 hours on every video
Thank you for your explanation. Please let me know if the Newcomer Service Center can support someone on a visitor’s visa in getting job to change their status
@@MakeThatChange Thanks for the response. My husband and I are big fans of the channel and your videos are life and have helped us with information on how to move to Canada.
One of the first things you should find out is the nearest Casino. What? Is he serious?? I can just hear it. Three facts about Casinos. Competitive if not preferred exchange rates. Able to exchange large amounts of cash. Open 24 hours a day. 7 days a week. 365 days a year. Please in your research of Toronto neighbourhoods. Include access to P.A.T.H. Which apartment buildings or parking garages link directly.
Thank you for the informative videos. I've been binge watching your channel for the past few days. Around 10:50, you suggested to renew driver's license within 3 months of arrival otherwise I may need to do driver's certification and take driving courses. Do you mean I can get a license without doing these if I apply within 3 months of arrival?
A lot of information.....! indeed it's a great resource! Thanks to both of you for giving all those ideas I need. Btw, I love the background with some lovely indoor plants..
Subscribed!! I will be traveling in Ontario, Toronto this coming August as international student. This is very helpful as a newcomer. Thank you Ana and Anastasia!
Great video. In case if you have not made a video already, please consider making a video on 1) buying a home - things like mortgage, dealing with real estate agents etc. 2) Taxes- how are they calculated, deductions etc.
Hi Jay! Thank you for your request, we are currently working on 2) ! 1) is something we’ve considered as well, but we’d need to find someone who’s had experience in it
Hi there!! Thanks a lot for such informative videos, you are doing great👍 Small request from my side.. please make a video about canadian education from daycare to secondary 🙏 all proc and cons, would really help for newcomers with kids
@@MakeThatChange i appreciate the time you took to respond... I really like you both a lot. A LOT. Can i marry 2 beautiful women and live happily under the same roof in Canada. (Ps. I am talking seriously)
You are so right about steps! I did administrative steps but never been to the newcomer services. This is probably I never get away from feeling lost and lonely. I got job and apartment prior coming but got lost and recover from it. As ex-Canadian PR and ex-Torontonian I can say to all newcomers: follow those steps.
Thank you for all the useful information that we definitely needed once we get there in few months time. Both of you are like beautiful guardian angel for us. More power to both of you.😻😻😻
Crucial information. Thank you. I am planning to come/ visit Saskatchewan- Saskatoon and see opportunities in studying, the job market and plan to move. I am from Kenya, East Africa.
Well done! I guess you have covered almost everything somebody will be needed during the very first weeks in Canada. ( Although, for those they are familiar with the most world widely alcohol purchasing practices depending on the area they are settling down the might surprise themselves in provinces such as ontario)
@@MakeThatChange I guess you can tell the difference since you have lived in Quebec. In ontario you can only buy alcohol from government ruled stores (LCBO, beer stores). It's been just a couple of years since big grocery stores in ontario have been given a licence to sell alcohol based products. Just before that it was like a dystopian world. Nothing is in common with Quebec :)

Thanks for your continual sharing of such valuable infos to all of us.. And also, thanks for providing links that support and prove your infos as well. I guess when I would come to Canada, I will have to put some work in writing down all your advice in order to put away any stresses or pressure dedicated to that tight period.
I don't understand why should I come to Canada if it can't help me find a wife. What other reason I need to relocate to a new country. I left my country 16 years ago and I'm still single, nobody explains to me that I won't be alone in Canada too. Just talking about weather and healthcare...

Thank you for your explanation. Please let me know if the Newcomer Service Center can support someone on a visitor’s visa in getting job to change their status
Hi, no, newcomer centres do not provide such services
I have a student visa and I'm traveling to Canada next month. Can I use the newcomer services or is it for PR only?
That's for PR. But your university/college might have their own service
informative video. but I think, It wd be better to reduce the volume of background music.
Noted! Thank you for the feedback!
Are these steps applicable to person's coming to Canada on visitor's visa?
If you are in visitor visa you cannot get a SIN, getting a local phone number might be a bit tricky too without an address.

If I come as a visitor can the newcomer center help me with information pertaining to getting a job?
Visitors aren't allowed to work, as they don't have work permit, so it makes no sense🤷♀️

How easy is it to move from North York to Toronto?
They are just several subway stations apart
Easy ways to immigrant to canada
There are no easy ways. If it were easy, everyone would do it and Canada wouldn't struggle with low population
Id to point out the solo visit was not highlighted or obtain a link:) great video though
