By the way, when you do One by Metallica, please, please, please, don't do the official video that everyone else reacts to. The video includes movie scenes with sound that at times overwhelm the actual song. Do the studio version.
I have mixed feelings about this. I thought they did an outstanding job with editing the movie clips to fit the song, but I agree that it certainly can be overwhelming to take it all in for the first listen.
Agreed. The video is cool, but for a first time listener it distracts and confuses most, and in my opinion you lose out on the amazing drums and guitars in this song.
@@jmagda315 It wouldn't be so bad if they turned the volume down a bit. It drowns out the song. Let the guy who did the bass track levels adjust the audio.
You have entered a new world of musicianship. Cliff Burton, In my opinion, the greatest bassist of all time....his opus is Orion. I hope You find the wisdom to subject yourself to this masterpiece. I am 54 years old. When I was younger, the only time Metallica was on the radio was between 2 - 6 in the morning on Sunday. To be a Metallica fan back then was something special. I still get goosebumps from many of Metallica's songs. It warms my heart and soul to see the younger generations experience this greatness...Like I did so many years ago. Hope You take my advice concerning Orion. From this cool cat in Dallas reliving my Love for Metallica with You. Bless You sir.
I saw this tour in Feb. 1985 in Kansas City, MO at the Uptown theater. W.A.S.P. and Armored Saint were on the bill as well. Being a teen during this time was definitely a gift to be surrounded by the music of the time, I lived it.
Haha, so many shifts and changes, that's what we call talent my friend! Metallica has this magic about them that no other metal band can touch or ever will!! Oh and that background sound you hear is the kick drum!
Welcome Home (Sanatarium) Live in Seattle 1989. Great song, a lot of transitions, also this was Metallica in their prime. The energy feedback loop between the band and the crowd just doesn't really exist anymore today. You'll see what I mean.
That 89’ Seattle show is just insane, and that version of Welcome Home, is probably the best I’ve ever heard. I heard that live (in person) for the first time a decade later. Prob my favorite Metallica song.
Yeah Ride the Lightning album came out when I was in high school with about 15. I loved it and then Master of Puppets came out right after I graduated in 86 and it was spectacular also.
🤘🏻🤘🏻just keep going down that Metallica rabbit hole!! There is a reason they are one of top metal bands of all time!! Great grooves and change ups!! Lyrics have deep meaning in a lot of thier music!🔥🔥🔥
Check out Master of Puppets live in Seattle 1989. But maybe you should hear the studio 1st, I'm sure some people would say; the lyrics/concept and the movement of the song work as a whole. I didn't even get it until a few years ago, and I grew up on it.
Yes, this is one of the GOAT songs/solos....That 2nd crunchy (spicy) guitar riff is iconic in Metal history & imo Kirk’s solo is off the charts “sonic” because of his shredding but also because of Lars’s double bass kicks & crashing cymbals, Cliff’s thumping bass & James’s “underneath” rhythm guitar riff.....lightning in a bottle
It’s funny that you mentioned the guitar tone. For those of us that grew up on Metallica, the tone in the first few albums is perfection. But, James Hetfield (lead singer and rhythm guitar player) says he cringes when he hears it today.
Their 2nd album... still in the golden era..bass player Cliff Burton still alive... the first 4 albums are amazing. The 5th one.. the Black album (the one with Enter Sandman) is...ok. after that it's a bit of a shit show. But that's just my opinion. Others will disagree.
If you like drums you should check out TOOL!!! There's something primal in Danny Carry's drumming! Pneuma(spelling). Lyrically (as well as instrumentally) one of My favs. is "The Pot". It's good stuff, lyrically as well as instrumentally....great drumming....Great all around! It's what got me to start listening to them again! Tool's lyrics are very metaphorical, so they can mean a whole lotta different things to a whole lotta different people! Loved watching you react to Layne btw! His voice is so haunting...One if a kind, that's 4 damn sure! Absolutely Sickens me that I never got to see them live & we really didn't get to hear all he would've had to offer??? Just like so many of the good, no great ones...We tend to loose the greatest ones way too early in in their lives 😢 youngSLIPKNOT has awesome drumming as well!
I think you’ve done Master of Puppets too, haven’t you? If not - do it! Otherwise I’d vote for For Whom the Bell Tolls, Orion (instrumental), or One (as other have said, DON’T do the official video- is spoils the music). And hell yeah - live that 80’s face-peeling distortion! Cheers!
Their GREATEST album, imo, is Master of Puppets. No song on that album is bad. I'll give you one song off of each album: Motorbreath Creeping Death Damage Inc. Dyer's Eve Through the Never The House That Jack Built Fixxxer Astronomy Minus Human The Unnamed Feeling Broken, Beat, and Scarred Halo On Fire Keep that spiciness comin' Bro!
I don't know what you've listened to already so try Master of Puppets, One, The that never comes, Enter sandman, The unforgiven ,For whom the bell tolls
This song is about Suicide/Suicidal tendencies. Metallica is very deep; I suggest listen to the words instead of the beats. Other songs I’d suggest: One, Master of Puppets, Enter Sandman and the list goes on...
Bro, u kool as fuck, I'm still laughing at you yawning while listen to matalica, lmao that's funny as he'll man. Try some Pantera, Domanation live Moscow 94, that will keep you up my brotha.
"Spicy as hell"...😂😂😂. Perfect reaction
By the way, when you do One by Metallica, please, please, please, don't do the official video that everyone else reacts to. The video includes movie scenes with sound that at times overwhelm the actual song.
Do the studio version.
Thank you for pointing that out. That is the _worst_ version of that song.
I have mixed feelings about this. I thought they did an outstanding job with editing the movie clips to fit the song, but I agree that it certainly can be overwhelming to take it all in for the first listen.

Make it a lyrics video.. Awesome lyrics

"there's so many shifts and changes" ... me discovering Metallica 30 years ago :)
Best band in the Land! These dudes don’t just make noise! Real musicians!
This song got me through some of the darkest times in my life. Thank you, Metallica.
Jay Rah: "That guitar solo is SPICY, man!"
Metallica: "Hold our beers!"
David gilmour: "hold my tea"
Great choice. Outstanding song. Musicianship, technique, talent. Metallilca is very gifted. Amazing first few albums.

My favorite song from one of the greatest bands, good job mate🤘👏👍
This song gives me chills every time it starts. One of their best and one of the finest heavy metal songs ever.
I saw this tour in Feb. 1985 in Kansas City, MO at the Uptown theater. W.A.S.P. and Armored Saint were on the bill as well. Being a teen during this time was definitely a gift to be surrounded by the music of the time, I lived it.

Master of Puppets is universally considered their masterpiece.
I have a soft spot for Four Horsemen.
Check out Master of Puppets live in Seattle 1989. But maybe you should hear the studio 1st, I'm sure some people would say; the lyrics/concept and the movement of the song work as a whole.

Nice reaction.......try "One" by Metallica........total ear candy.........
I think you will highly enjoy Orion (studio version); instrumental only,
They were 23 -24 when they wrote and recorded this song
You are slowly turning into a rocker& metalhead
The other most important thing, Music shows us COLOR DOESN'T MATTER ...We are all humans effected by music
If you like them Try Dave Mastaine And MegaDeth Og. Gutaire Player
"Disposable Heroes" by Metallica always hits me hard....love to see you react.
Metallica are just unbelievable :)
Next Disposable heroes live from Mexico City, also one of Metallica’s best.
22ish years old when they recorded this....
Metallica master of puppets/Sanatorium/Disposable heroes/seek and destroy/battery/one/kill em all
That’s that double bass.
Like drums listen to “ONE” by them
By the way that whole album is awesome Ride the Lightning
Despite this song not being about suicide, it still has helped me when I was in a dark time.
Omg bro are you a MYRATH fan?? That painting on the ground behind you???
Ya the first 3 albums are by far there best, you like these riffs, try master of puppets. Sanatorium, back to the front, one.
The one person that disliked this is a backstreet boys fan
AKA Phill Burtton Bass. Miestro.
Next one; Disposable Heroes 🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
Their 2nd album... still in the golden era..bass player Cliff Burton still alive... the first 4 albums are amazing. The 5th one.. the Black album (the one with Enter Sandman) is...ok. after that it's a bit of a shit show. But that's just my opinion. Others will disagree.
Don’t forget the 1987 garage days $5.98 E.P, even tho it’s covers they kick some ass on it, more reactors need to check it out!
I personally like all of them
Could not agree more with you .
The Black album was definitely commercialized but is still awesome
That take hit me right in the Death Magnetic.

Their GREATEST album, imo, is Master of Puppets. No song on that album is bad. I'll give you one song off of each album:
Motorbreath
Creeping Death
Damage Inc.
Dyer's Eve
Through the Never
The House That Jack Built
Fixxxer
Astronomy
Minus Human
The Unnamed Feeling
Broken, Beat, and Scarred
Halo On Fire
Keep that spiciness comin' Bro!
Old school Metallica from 1983. A song about depression then suicide
Kings of Krunch
My favourite Metallica song. I've been told that this song ng was written after somebody stole James' guitar that his mother gave him
Fantastic reaction! Please do a reaction to Metallica's "One"! 👍👍👍

Metallica-Orion and Megadeth-In my darkest hour.
When cliff burton died Metallica was never the same again.

Not many people react to Static-X. I recommend "I'm With Stupid" and "Push It"
RIP Wayne Static. Great band.
"Push it"
Push it is cool as hell!
Masterpiece...but they all are LMAO 😂
This is the last Metallica with Dave Mustaine...before he started Megadeth.
This song is about Suicide/Suicidal tendencies.
Metallica is very deep; I suggest listen to the words instead of the beats.
