Great video. Direct. No nonsense. Not at all talking down to your audience. Skin tones ie. malanin- arguably the most photographed molecule outside of light and water... so deterministic.. we can adjust lights and shadows various tints and colors... surely there has to be a more targeted way to capture "skin tones" specifically. I know in medicine there exist machines that can actually count and measure the specific propertys that create skin tone.. maybe cameras and Adobe could lean on that technology so you guys are not just messing with sliders to guess and check your flesh tone edits. Educated guesses though they might be.

Absolutely! Using the sliders in post makes a big difference with the sliders. I mainly do so for videos compared to photos since I don't really take in photography but learning more and more. Love the video Zac, happy I was able to catch your channel.

Pigmentation of the skin results from the accumulation of melanin-containing melanosomes in the basal layer of the epidermis. Differences in skin pigmentation result both from the relative ratio of eumelanin (brown-black) to pheomelanin (yellow-red), as well as the number of melanosomes within melanocytes. Why isn't there a brown slider... we got every color layer out in spectrum. Yellow to gold etc etc... which slider carries the browns?

I don't think that there is an easy an effective way to do that without the selection brushes that are in the paid version.
