    Really appreciate your tutorial. The fourth order aberration you mentioned in the video I assume you are referring to as the wavefront aberration right? and its derivative is the 3rd order seidel aberration. thanks!

    how you made the calculation in step 1?
    the first eq. is above, what is the second one?

      I'm assuming you are referring to the spreadsheet calculator for the thin cook triplet. The equations here are in Excel formula. Analytic solutions for this lens system are possible using ABCD matrices or Gaussian reduction. The spreadsheet solution here is solved numerically. The intent here is to supply the user with this spreadsheet.

    Just as brief FYI it’s pronounced Leyets not Leets. You wouldn’t say Eezenhower (Eisenhower). When in the middle of a word, in German “ie” is phonetically a long E where as “ei” is a long I.
