I am a classically trained singer and love Diana Ankudinova's story. She was born in Arsenyev, Russia on May 31, 2003 which is near the Pacific Ocean, the border with China & the border with Inner Mongolia. Her mother is Russian and her father is unknown but, probably Mongolian. Her extended family found her in the street in the middle of winter with a broken collar bone when she was three (3) years old. None of them wanted her because they thought she was mentally defective. She spent two (2) years in a Russian Orphanage and was adopted by a Russian woman named Irina when she was five (5) years of age. Because her language was very poor, her Foster Mother sent her to a voice coach and, it was there they discovered her musical talent. She has been singing publicly and taking voice lessons from the age of five (5) and has become a "Stage Animal". (This means she is totally at home on the stage and feels free to act out each song she sings) In the twelve (12) years Irina has had her, Diana has blossomed into a beautiful young woman, with a voice like no other and sings in French, English, Spanish, Russian and yodels. Let me become a little technical and teach you why her voice is so "heave" and "unique". When anyone sings, they produce more than the sound of their voice. They also produce "wave forms" which, you can not hear but, they add to the "Timbre" of their voice. Diana has the gift of drawing "wave forms" from all of her registers simultaneously and this creates a "heavy" timbre which is mesmerizing and, gives one chills and draws you in.
Great reaction Gitana. Diana is multi-lingual, plays piano, can yodel and also tap dance. If you watch her series of Tic Tocs she has an amazingly casual sense of humour. She sings many genres including pop, 'Vibes'. No end to her abilities. Her back story is awful and tragic with her natural mother trying to kill her and treating her brutally. Luckily, she's ended up with a lovely family and a great support team. She WILL be a global sensation!

He started this show You Are Super and paid for an apartment in Moscow for Diana and her adoptive family after she finished on the show (She was on the show for 2 seasons) and he came out of semi-retirement to compose several songs for Dimash. Since joining him Igor has already composed 4 new songs and reworked other songs just for Dimash and his abilities. 🎶👱♀️👗👠

I fully agree with you - I think I have seen most of what she has done - from the age of 5 upwards, from working in Shopping centres, cruise ships, small coffe-shop type venues , competitions and grand stages (including the Kremlin) and she always makes the "stage" her own and, for me the epitome of what you were saying is when she sang the song Blizzard (Вьюга) on the show you are super - I, as a grown and very old (comparatively) man was close to tears because of the raw emotion that she causes to emanate from her whole being. Diana was born in the Far East, but at that time she lived in Tolyatti, and Tolyatti is not the East, it is the West. Togliatti is located 800 km from Moscow. By Russian standards, it is next to Moscow, it is almost like its satellite city.

I agree with your comment about song choices. From the online question and answer sessions I have seen with her I get the impression she likes theater and may even pursue that as a career choice. But for now with her commitment to her education she is leaving everything open for now. I can only imagine there is some pressure to release more songs similar to other artists cranking out one after the other. Im good to with her taking her time. Ive been a fan for a few years and being in the USA I find enough I can get translated to follow her. I have found her on Pandora here in the USA with her song Vibes which she did with American producer Adam Ferello. Now thats a really different style dance club/ pop type song.

You are right to recognize Igor Trutoy. He is a judge on that program an a very famous Russian composer. He wrote "Tomorrow Is A Lie" for Diana in English as she sings in English, French, Spanish and Russian.

And the following days over 80 million who watched the contest when posted on TH-cam spit on the judges. But she got her revenge the following year and year thereafter by winning not only the Russian contests in two consecutive years but 60 more awards and contests. And you’ll witness a yodeling masterpiece and if you stay to near the end of the judges commentary ( making excuses and lying) you will hear a brief portion of the French song the judges asked her to sing that she NAILED! And at age 13 a classic flamenco song called “ me toy” ( she sings it in Spanish and with such emotional impact that you will get goosebumps and might even cry) . Strange - I have read and listened (in both English and Russian) to articles and documentaries and you are the first person who has called this phenomenon "mixed race" and I ask myself was it necessary to include it? Her mother is Russian, the identity of the father is, as far as I know not been published. Russians see Diana as "Russian" and that should be enough.

Strange - I have read and listened (in both English and Russian) to articles and documentaries and you are the first person who has called this phenomenon "mixed race" and I ask myself was it necessary to include it? Her mother is Russian, the identity of the father is, as far as I know not been published. Russians see Diana as "Russian" and that should be enough.
@@mike6174 according to my knowledge her biological father is brownish Azerbaijan which has got nothing to do with the fact that she is an absolutely brilliant person and artist! She can be purple I wouldn't care! Kid is totally gorgeous! Mentioning race, shouldn't be always a problem or bad!
