Estmated trainer. I was practicing 110 and 400 hurdles from 18 to 25 years old crono(15'80 sec and 54 sec). Then 10 years rugby wing and then windsurfer at high wind area until now. I feel fit but never test myself running again. Now I,m back running 8 km with ramdom momentum series at crosscountry surface....but wich one 110 or 400 I could choose to prepare world champs in 3 years time? Im now 47 years old. Recovering now from L3-L4 bulge disk. Feel I could do it but dont now how to not pass limits and what is the heith and cronos I must use. Thanks so much.
What if you have a new hurdler who still struggles to get to the first hurdle in 8 steps even with the discount? Should you discount the distance until it’s 8 steps? Should you just focus on speed until they can get to 8 steps?
I think the answer is both. Work on speed, 9 step if you have to, but always work on increasing stride efficiency to work towards 8 stepping in addition to your speed and 9 step work.
