I hope you enjoy Fourth Wing and Iron Flame. I just finished them and was surprised at how much I both laughed and cried. Kicking myself for not reading them sooner because I thought they were over hyped ❤
I am loving this Oceania series! The food looks and sounds incredible and that library is expansive and beautiful! I could totally see myself getting a specialty coffee and getting lost in a book in one of those comfy leather armchairs. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
22:37 That is a challenging Mensa quiz. Here are my answers/guesses: (1) the whole nine yards; (2) Huxley; (3-a) Humble > Rumble? (3-b) [I have no idea; I tried sail, cruise, steer, pilot, handle...]; (4) P+INK=pink; (5) SUPERFICIALITY. I think I got 4/6, so I am happy with that.
Gelato is because of the many Italians who came to work in Belgium in the mines, hence why we have so many Italian restaurants and also some gelato shops
They’ve got a lot of super “healthy” treats to try, hah… but in general, we do keep an eye on health and try to keep our activity and exercise levels up overall too!! :P
G in 2026 I’m planning to take my wife to Rome on a cruise. We plan on coming back and staying in Rome for a week. Can you suggest a motherly priced hotel to stay in? It would be greatly appreciated. I thank you so much by the way, your videos are the best.
We probably will! We’ve been to Bruges, Ghent, and Brussels so far. We do have Zeebrugge on some future itineraries, so maybe we will figure out some fun to do next time a little closer to the port and the coast!! :D
Jay named it in the video's description, Mennekin Pis peeing boy statue. "The most famous legend claims that the statuette depicts a young boy who saved Brussels from disaster. The enemy was at the gates ready to bring down the city walls with gunpowder. Fortunately, a little boy who happened to be around desperately needed to relieve himself and in doing so he extinguished the fuse."
Also don’t fall for the cheap chocolate shops you went in who sale industrial tasting stuff. Stick to brands like Leonidas, Neuhaus, etc or go to a grocery store and buy chocolate bars from Côte d’Or or Jaques

The little cake in your pre desert is canele’. It’s a small French pastry with a caramelized crust. I love them!
Okay, the waffles and Gelato 🎉🎉🎉🎉!!!
28:27 I went back and looked up Jay's dish on the menu: "Poached Scallop Gnocchi with Lobster in a Light Savennieres Wine Sauce"! Looks heavenly.

I enjoyed watching this video. I'm living in Brugge (Bruges)
Oh my gosh, that breakfast menu looks incredible! I hope you tried the broiled kippers one morning, I’ve always wanted to, but never have. 😂
Thanks for sharing. The city hall area looks amazing with a lot of fun shopping and activities to do
Thank you for your excellent review of MARINA, LOTS OF MUSIC ON THIS SHIP😊
Oh my goodness! The food is simply amazing!
With you Dee libraries rock
As always, love your videos. Thank you. hugs
Looks like a great time in Brussels, best treat pomme frites, with curry Mayo. Food on board looks really good. French food is very rich.
I just finished Iron Flame, I hope you enjoy(ed) the series!
Sorry I don't comment on every video but I do watch them and try to "thumbs up" them all, apologies if I don't.
Belgium wasn’t on the bucket list, but that town square is beauuuutiful. Going to have to try and get there soon.
This is the menus and cuisine Oceania is famous for!! Too bad no more Jacques Bistro on the R class.

Yes Ncl Prima has zeebruge doing Gent 1 hr away so about 6 hr to see Gent
The pastry is a cannelle. They are available all day until late afternoon in Baristas.
Jay. You will need to get your cholesterol checked after this cruise. And thank God, no Sweet Caroline so far. Lol 😂

Thankee! We’ve never stayed in Rome, so we don’t have any recommendations!! :D
I wonder if that’s the cheese our friends would serve during parties. He is French… that was some outrageously stinky cheese… 😂😂😂
Love those miniature chocolate mannequin piss
Next time you land in Zeebrugge just go and explore the coastal cities much nicer then our capital.
We probably will! We’ve been to Bruges, Ghent, and Brussels so far. We do have Zeebrugge on some future itineraries, so maybe we will figure out some fun to do next time a little closer to the port and the coast!! :D
What’s the thing with kids peeing?

Neuhaus! Yes, that’s the shop where we tried the pralines, but we couldn’t remember the name!! :D
