I have the same TV but playing on the SX. Do you prefer the balanced mode over that 120 fps mode? I haven’t tried any of the other modes because that 120 fps is just amazing. It does make the picture quality feel off though so that’s why I ask.
One of my favorite things in the game is when an enemy has a particular combo that instakills or does heavy damage against them. For example against the dugbogs, when they go for a tongue attack you can use levioso to grab them by their tongue and then one-shot them by cutting it with diffindo. Another example is disarming the statues with expelliarmus and then immediately using ancient magic throw to throw their weapon at them once you have the right upgrade for it
Great video. I do not like spoilers or walkthroughs on my first couple of playthroughs on a game but these types of videos to understand the world better are gold. Keep up the great work!
Since you’ll only be 13 points short to cap all the talent points, it’s more efficient if you work out which points are least useful to you. For example, for me, all 8 RoR points are out since I won’t be using potions or plants in this first play through. Some utility points such as Revelio and healing potion enhancement are also out. Then work out two to three offensive spells that you will probably never touch and then exclude their talent points…. There’s your answer
@@jeroenr.2737 the second one does not add to the first one, but the first one still has value and has helped me throughout the game. Both of them are the same
Surprised nobody has come out with build videos. Would be cool to see what you'd call the most possibly optimized talent layout according to your favorite playstyle
well, the thing is, the max level in the game is 40, and you start getting talent points at level 5 (on a technicality that is) which means you can get 36 talent points. there are 48 total talents to unlock. remove the room of requirements, and dark arts trees and that leaves you with 30. which means most of the 36 talent points you unlock can be used on the talents that you will use most. as the room of requirements talents arent the MOST usefull (at least on easy difficulty and lower, i play on story cause i want to enjoy the story) And honestly, even on the harder difficulties, if you time your shield and dodges properly, you probably wont ever need to heal or use other support potions. at that point, it leaves you 6 talent points to basically use on 6 of the 10 talents in the dark arts tree. so really, long story short, there isnt really a "best build"
@@k-koldgaming2509 nah always 10/10 dark arts, the curse is too good to not do, whereas I can guarantee you can find 4 spells you're not gonna use on the Spells list. RoR 100% doesn't need done though. You could also save a few points by not getting the increased Revelio range and a couple others in the Core tree that may not be as useful to you to spend on spells/RoR, Only ones from Dark Arts I can see maybe not getting are the ones related to the unforgivable curses if you don't plan on using those, but the other 7 are a no brainer must include for any build so you can reap the benefits of healing from cursed targets. It also lets you have a perfectly optimized "curse" loadout since one of each offensive spell type is in there. Slot in the stealth spell and you're golden. I definitely plan on 10/10 dark arts, 16/16 core, 4/4 stealth, and then choosing 6 of the spells in the spell tree. Curse loadout, Unforgivable Curse loadout, and then the 6 spells I choose from the spell list can make 2 more loadouts, all 4 running the stealth spell that I can swap out for utility spells for puzzles if need be
Isn’t descendo’s mastery be supposed to create a shockwave around the target and not around yourself as mentioned in the video? If so, then you’ve made your argument about the spell under wrong assumptions. I think the mastery description is pretty clear at 2:48
and even worse if you compare it to how nice the face can look(in comparison) during the char creator. Had to restart a few times to find a face that doesnt turn ugly af in the actual gameplay/some cutscenes
Missed your Elden Ring videos. This pure Int build looks super interessting. Jk, I'm not the biggest HP fan but your videos made me very curious about this game. I think I'm going to get it after all.
I just realized that you can fully upgrade all magic, core, and dark arts since stealth isn’t worth upgrading and some of the core ones sucks which are like 4 of them so instead you can use those points for potion ones and have a super strong build.
8:01 I'm still early game, but why would you not want to Stupefy later enemies? It may not deal much damage itself, but it buffs follow-up damage, stuns, breaks shields, and can also apply a curse which further buffs damage and may have other effects.
Imo this video is the MOST informative for the game. Well thought out video 2 BIG thumbs up and I've saved this video. Thank you thank you 😊 I've played now for 3 days straight 10hrs a day about 50 percent of everything found the damn merlin mission are going to suck 95 of those. This game is 100 percent in the top 10 for open world games to the devs thank you and GREAT JOB 👍. Swift works really well when going up against trolls it gives you that added space your going to need. When going up against 2 or more trolls. And in troll control challenge your going up against 2 at the sametime.
Great information! I was wondering what was a good choice after I learned that you cannot unlock all of the talents in-game. Thanks for a very informative guide!
Honestly with these talents I feel like the best route is to just 10/10 dark arts, 16/16 core, 4/4 stealth, and then use your last 6 points in whatever spells/items you use most often. I'm ignoring the entire Room of Requirement tree because I don't really use those items, so find 5/10 of the spell perks and I'm good to go... there may be a few in Core that you could forgo in favor of spell/Room of Requirement, but I don't see any reason to not 10/10 dark arts and 4/4 stealth, and putting a good chunk of points into core.
The ability to respec is far more useful why it isn't in the game is mind boggling, respec is a fundamental ability in all Rpg games. The Dev's messed up big time here.
2:53 did u even try the talent? It clearly says and shows that its around the target and not the caster, and your whole argument is based on the fact that you are not close to the target.
Wow thank you one question in the stealth if you take level 2 in the level 16 to be more stealthy do you need the level 1 in the level 5 section our can you skip 1 and just go for two?
Thanks for the video, but imo it’s more of a « commentary and skills explained » rather than a build focusing on a specific gameplay.. Nonetheless it was greatly explained, thanks again
Hi. I have blood curse unlocked but seem to have difficulty using it. Your video is the first one I have seen that mentions modifying your curse. Is there another step I need to do to use blood curse correctly? Any help would be greatly appreciated
You can't respec. If my math is right, you get 36 talents, and there are 48 total. That said, you don't need to follow a path or anything. So you can only pick the highest tier talent for one category.
What I really want to know before i start is if there is any significant story changes if I decide to avoid dark magic entirely. It feels like that game wants you to use dark magic and it would be weird if you didnt.
Is it possible to reset talents? i regret some of the decisions i did, which i could reset them. At least all the talent trees seems usefull somehow, even the potions tree we can see its really strong, sure potions arent the most exciting thing, but still, the talents for it is a huge improvement. Tho i think the Dark Arts tree is really OP, is probably the strongest combat build, which is why i want to reset, i spent some points in Spells tree that i regret
yes, tho is not so fun to use it, and the combat is so fun and good that relying too much on stealth feels like ur wasting the opportunity of fighting stuff and having fun. But yea, stealth is really OP, but boring
I only saw that everyone who didnt use the talent points so far always had less talent points by 3/4 by level 17-20. So maybe by the maximum of level 40, 32 talent points ?
Im having a great time with the game but mechanics wise and probably overall gameplay wise, it can be... rough It looks really nice, but for an example, the RPG elements are really weak.
