We used to put rookies in the driver seat and set off the bags on practice cars so they knew that it sucked getting hit with one and to stay clear of them at all times when on scene. Never had a fighter injured by airbags to this date.
The g8 gt is still my favourite car one of the biggest bummers ever is 3 years ago they were all 7-10k for clean low mileage examples in my area and now that I can easily afford one they’ve skyrocketed to 15k a pop for models with 140,000 miles+
First one's fire department training, I'd say. If it was a collision, those rockers would be heavily damaged but they looked fine. Damn.... 2001, white, and not a speck of rust. Up here you wouldn't need the JOL, just pull on a panel and it'll come off in a cloud of rust. You car lovers are living the dream in the south.
Merry Christmas from Leeds UK! I've always had a soft spot for the 300C. Love the retro styling and those Hemis. Unfortunately they don't have the best reputation for longevity and running them (or any V8) with our fuel prices can be ruinous, which is why most of the ones you see here are the diesel variant. And those Malibus, whilst they may not look much, are tough cookies. A neighbour at my late wife's apartment complex had one and she treated it like crap, but it just would not die. A couple of years ago it finally got totalled in a collision so she replaced it with another brand new Malibu! The lack of blown airbags also leads me to agree that the 01 Exploder was likely a fire dept training vehicle. Surprised they didn't crash wrap that Mercedes, the interior will be junk now after months of sitting out with the windows down.
Merry Christmas Randy. You don't EVER have to apologize to us (your watchers) as your always giving us content and i thank you for your hard work and dedication.
I like the 300 but you are the expert. My father was an auto body man and I saw him cut cars in half then weld them back together. I think they called that putting a new clip on, could mean a whole rear or just quarter of the rear. I think the Explorer was donated and used for training.
The explorer is definitely from a training. If you look close you'll see no airbag even popped out. Everything is intact. Scs they were training to cut with jaws taking turn. So they cut A pillar, B pillar (top and bottom) and C Pillar. Turn they went to the roof and cut the roof clear across side to side yet the inside of the car shows no sign at all of any damage.
I love seeing Cadet Firefighters cut up these Vehicles at the Academy. Reason why they learn how to cut up Vehcs is to teach the fundamentals of. SAFETY! Where to cut and how to cut. Even Though SECONDS count! The safety of the person or it key. Including cars that are subframes. It's REALLY cool stuff to watch if you get a chance to see the training Randy!
Thanks Randy Merry Christmas to you Jessica and both of the boys. Man you sure will brave what ever the elements are to do our walkarounds and we appreciate it. Daz from Aus. By the way that was a Holden Commodore
I have had 2 of those malibus. My first drivable car was an 04 classic malibu. I drove that for a while. But I never checked the oil and that's what ended it. It had 250k miles on the little 2.2 ecotech and ran great till I starved it of oil. The other one was an 01 malibu 3.1 that had blown head gaskets. I ended up trading it for a 94 dodge ram
Merry Christmas Randy, much love from your neighbor to the south in sherman TX, hope to get to meet up with you someday brotha. You've saved me a TON of headaches with all the copart advice you give us all for free. Thank you and I cant wait to see what big things AAR has in store for 2021 (2020 2.0)
First, the Explorer looks as if it was used in a teaching class for extrication. As a volunteer we cut everything, b pillars, a pillars. That's too clean to have been in a wreck. Secondly....MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!!!
Merry Xmas to you too,Randy! As for welding two car halves together,in the UK that's known as a 'cut n shut' and is totally illegal..not to mention potentially lethal..
Merry Christmas Randy to you and your family. Yes it was a Holden. Thanks for all the awesome content. All the best for the New Year from your friends Down under in Australia.
The crooked wheel thing on the Malibu was probably down to how the wheels hang when it's up on the fork lift so being put straight down the wheels probably had angle from the dangle (yes I meant that).
Randy, you should look into the hood strut lock that "The Car Wizard" (Hoovie's mechanic) has on his merch store. This would prevent hoods from dropping on you! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Merry Christmas Randy from Brisbane Australia, it is 3am Christmas day and I just missed Santa. He is tricky. Today will be 78 degrees and a beautiful day here. All the best to you and your family and friends.
I do like the tail lights on that generation of Malibu. Almost bought one back in the day but opted instead for a 95 or 96 Cavalier, don't really remember though.
That explorer is a 2 door. Where the back seats are at is all panel. So it could of been donated to the fire dept since they've cut that on both sides.
Randy bring that Chrysler Hemi baby home she's a beauty and beast , all she needs is a fender and tune up including fuel injectors and and valve covers/gaskets , right???!!! So minor stuff compared to the swamp corvette for sure , you can do it Randy I know you , once you get into it you will make it 100% . And that malibu is equally nice being a daily driver it has a spoiler which made it even better and the mechanical state is good , only needs those push rod links adjusted , so that's another solid car. Yes a cayenne S on the channel would be awesome as well. And Merry Christmas to you and your family , may God bless you more and stay safe and keep movin' and grindin'.
usually if it was done for fire department training, it goes to the wreckers, but I think that all depends on the fire department. what could've happened was the fire department took it to the junkyard, and the junkyard just decided to sell it wholesale at copart because they had too many in their yard.
Merry Christmas Randy and family, thanks for the great content in 2020 and wishing you much success in 2021. 👍 🇬🇧 Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everybody on here. 🎅 🛷 🎄
Randy... Merry Christmas to you and your family! Thanks for all the vids you provide.... really enjoy watching them all.... if possible, in the future could you provide a little more "carnage" in some of your vids? When I started following you a couple of years ago, it was the carnage videos that really got my attention. I think they do serve as valuable as they demonstrate to people what can happen if they aren't safety conscious when driving. Hope you will consider doing that in future videos... either way, I'll be watching!
Another good video, Randy. That iPhone is a champ! The Malibu, for $200ish would make a good AAR video and would make someone a good, cheap winter beater with a heater. I say, AAR it. Stay safe in the snow. ( waterproof boots for Christmas?)
No airbags on the explorer you’d think if the wreck was that bad they might have gone off. And the pillars looked decent. Maybe just for fire dept to practice on. Just my opinion
Merry Christmas to you and your family Randy . You should’ve skipped out on this video. I agree with you, did my basic training at Fort Sill , coldest place on earth in the winter 🥶
They backed into a parking space with a cement header and pinned it between the wheels causing bending of suspension causing the white malibu to be "bow legged ". I've seen it happen before .
Malibu rear suspension is bent and the motor sounds like a rod bearing spun. My Fiero sounded like that just a light ticking till it turned to a loud knocking.
On the explorer I think the fire department used it for training the front air bags aren't blown and no visible blood stains, that Chrysler looks like it has undercarriage damage, and way to many miles,
Im certain the explorer was a FD practice vehicle. Unfortunately I've seen some really nice clean vehicles meet their end that way. Merry Christmas randy!
On some cars a low tire will deactivate traction/stability control and possibly ABS... that chrysler may just need some air to turn off multiple lights. (Not certain if this is accurate on this particular car, but maybe)
No bags blown on that explorer, I'd guess practice vehicle.
We used to put rookies in the driver seat and set off the bags on practice cars so they knew that it sucked getting hit with one and to stay clear of them at all times when on scene. Never had a fighter injured by airbags to this date.
ABOUT TO SAY THE SAME THING THAT STEERING WHEEL BAG WOULDVE BEEN THE FIRST TO BE DEPLOYED
Maybe a bad engine or transmission and donated for practice
good catch about the airbags
Yes , blood on seats
For ford explorer it probably had blown transmission or blown engine and it probably got donated to the fire department for training.
The g8 gt is still my favourite car one of the biggest bummers ever is 3 years ago they were all 7-10k for clean low mileage examples in my area and now that I can easily afford one they’ve skyrocketed to 15k a pop for models with 140,000 miles+

Explorer was FD training.
My friend is a firefighter/paramedic and I've seen them train.
It has all of the signs.
Merry Christmas from Serbia, East Europe!
Ne zna on de je srbija
Also merry Christmas ☃️
Oo otkud ti ovde, mislio sam da kod nas nikog nije briga za c4 corvette i mustang gt foxbody. Ima covek dobar kontent.
Hahah ima nas
Ima nas svuda 🤣🤣🤣
Mr. AAR , you’re a graduate from the University of Hard Knocks. You learn from painful mistakes therefore you are a great 👍🏼 teacher of the trade .
that could be a good one to grab for anyone wanting to do a Ute conversion
Merry Christmas to you and your family, Randy.
Merry Christmas Randy. You don't EVER have to apologize to us (your watchers) as your always giving us content and i thank you for your hard work and dedication.
Even tho the video aaa short can we just appreciate he went out in the cold and the snow just to show us these cars
Merry Christmas 🎄🎄 love the videos sending love from Boston 💯💖💖🙏🙏
You should get the Chrysler 300c, were I live those cars still go for a decent amount, and I seen sum go for 3500 with over 200,000 miles!
i didnt watch many of your videos because its 2 long ,i think 15-20 min video is the best to watch, nice video
Merry Christmas, Randy! And yes, the Pontiacs in Austrailia were called Holdens. The non-GTOs were known as Commodores Down Under.
The GTO was built on the Monaro
@@Snekkxvii thanks for the correction. :)
I like the 300 but you are the expert. My father was an auto body man and I saw him cut cars in half then weld them back together. I think they called that putting a new clip on, could mean a whole rear or just quarter of the rear. I think the Explorer was donated and used for training.

Merry Christmas from Perth Western Australia 🇭🇲 25th December today
Www
The Chrysler 300 love em
Yes you are correct Randy those Pontiac G8's were Holdens in Australia and New Zealand. They no longer make them. Merry Christmas.
I love seeing Cadet Firefighters cut up these Vehicles at the Academy. Reason why they learn how to cut up Vehcs is to teach the fundamentals of. SAFETY! Where to cut and how to cut. Wow randy going to copart on Christmas Eve plus it’s snowing. Now that’s commitment. Good Job randy!
Merry Christmas randy!!! I always look forward to your videos!! 🎄🎄🎄🎄
Thanks Randy Merry Christmas to you Jessica and both of the boys. Man you sure will brave what ever the elements are to do our walkarounds and we appreciate it. Daz from Aus. By the way that was a Holden Commodore
There were no bags deployed so I’d say it was a training tool. Bet it still runs
Mery Christmas Randy to you, you're family, and all the subscribers. Peace and love to all 💜
I have had 2 of those malibus. My first drivable car was an 04 classic malibu. I drove that for a while. But I never checked the oil and that's what ended it. I enjoy each and every one of your videos Randy. Much Love to you and your Family!!
Merry Christmas!!!
Happy Christmas Randy and family from all of us over here in Scotland
First, the Explorer looks as if it was used in a teaching class for extrication. As a volunteer we cut everything, b pillars, a pillars. That's too clean to have been in a wreck. Secondly....MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!!!
Nice effort for US on this one, THANK YOU! Merry Christmas to you and HUG your family, Randy!!! Sonny (CT)
Merry christmas Randy (and everyone else) 🎄🎄🎄
Merry Christmas Randy!
Your a real trooper going out in the freezing cold. Nice video as always. Have a wonderful Christmas 🎄🎁
Marry Christmas!! Great walk around!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
That G8gt is good for the front end. That is where they usually get damaged. You could make it into a ute
Merry Xmas to you too,Randy! As for welding two car halves together,in the UK that's known as a 'cut n shut' and is totally illegal..not to mention potentially lethal..
us done all the time
I had a 95’ lumina LS with that engine with a lower intake leak. Those are good engine once the leaks are taken care of
Merry Christmas Randy to you and your family. Yes it was a Holden. Thanks for all the awesome content. All the best for the New Year from your friends Down under in Australia.
Merry Christmas to you and your family Randy! Wish we had a little bit of that snow for Christmas here!
Merry Christmas Randy !! Love your videos. 300c outside door handle easy fix- they are cheap plastic and break easily. Thanks again!!!
Airbags didn't pop on the Ford Exploder - so assuming it's a trainer.
The crooked wheel thing on the Malibu was probably down to how the wheels hang when it's up on the fork lift so being put straight down the wheels probably had angle from the dangle (yes I meant that).
Happy Christmas, Randy and to all the family, hope things are better for us all in 202.From the UK.
Merry Christmas from Norther Ontario Canada and Thank you for all the GREAT old cars you work on ;O)
Randy, you should look into the hood strut lock that "The Car Wizard" (Hoovie's mechanic) has on his merch store. This would prevent hoods from dropping on you! Merry Christmas to you and your family!

I do like the tail lights on that generation of Malibu. Almost bought one back in the day but opted instead for a 95 or 96 Cavalier, don't really remember though.
Those Malibu’s were good cars I had a 2000 v6 only trouble I had was head gaskets with it
🌟Merry Christmas to everyone🎄safe travels 🥂 Salute thanks for Christmas post🚘👍
That explorer is a 2 door. Where the back seats are at is all panel. So it could of been donated to the fire dept since they've cut that on both sides.
Happy holidays @autoauctionrebuilds
The Chrysler had engine smoke. The Malibu you could fix. You've done it so you know the drill. (Short videos are nice too!) Merry Christmas!
Merry x mas from a humid hot Brazil , hope you had a good one a d got where you wanted to go safely.
Keep em coming Randy
Turn the GTO into a UTE (El Camino).
My thoughts! 1:30 minute marker! Light accident owner signed it off to fire Department and they trained with it! See that a lot in Pennsylvania!
Randy bring that Chrysler Hemi baby home she's a beauty and beast , all she needs is a fender and tune up including fuel injectors and and valve covers/gaskets , right???!!! Personally I like the shorter vid. Still good content. Love those Holden chassis cars. Merry Christmas my friend!

The first car would be a great if your looking for an interior on a Ford Explorer of that generation.
Hey Randy. Merry Christmas to you and the fam. The name you were thinking of for the G8 in Australia was the Holden Commodore.
Merry Christmas randy from the uk hope you and your family have a good one👍
Merry Christmas 🎄 Randy Too You And The Fam Keep The Inspirational Videos Coming
Hi Randy, Merry Christmas to you and your family. Happy travels. Exploder had a relatively minor crash and was given to fire and rescue for training.
No airbags on the explorer you’d think if the wreck was that bad they might have gone off. And the pillars looked decent. Maybe just for fire dept to practice on. Just my opinion
Merry Christmas Randy, I wish you and yours a very happy Christmas. Stay safe and enjoy! 🍻🎄
Training...def..
You had a red grand prix next to your jeep when checking the malibu...looked nice...v6 3.8 are the best.
Merry Christmas Randy to you and your family .Thank you for great videos.
It made my day with a good laugh when you stepped in it, Merry Christmas from my family to yours.

Merry Christmas to you and your family Randy . You should’ve skipped out on this video. I agree with you, did my basic training at Fort Sill , coldest place on earth in the winter 🥶
that 300 reminds me of the movie christina the hood fell shes alive and save the gto that be a really gd video
G8 Is easily one of the best pontiacs ever built
I have a 2005 Malibu and the back wheels look to be Crooked too but it drives fine.
They backed into a parking space with a cement header and pinned it between the wheels causing bending of suspension causing the white malibu to be "bow legged ". I've seen it happen before .
randy , food for thought ya need to get a pair of over the shoe boots. love the bids ! happy holidays to you and yours ! please be safe !
It's not worth getting sick out in the freezing cold when you got a nice garage to work in
Malibu rear suspension is bent and the motor sounds like a rod bearing spun. My Fiero sounded like that just a light ticking till it turned to a loud knocking.

Oh yeahhh! Merry Xmas Randy! 🎄
