Thank you 👍🏻😊 Solo gaming I do find to be really enjoyable. It allows for the imagination to be free during game play. I play vast amounts solo and I too have a blast in doing so 👍🏻😁
44:18 if you haven’t cleared this issue yet, it’s based on a dice roll. 1-3 is from all Light Guns, 4-5 is from AA, and 6 is from torpedoes. Re-roll if the system is not present on that ship.
This is just a advanced A&A war at sea . The mini's look great. Excellent video! Please keep up the great video's I will stick to the old Axis&Allies! Old school
In the very first gunnery phase, you shoot at a fletcher-class with the IJN cruiser. The modifiers are -2 for Extreme Range, -1 for the target being a destroyer, and -1 for the target moving over 6". That's a total of -4. So you would need 8's to hit, not 6's. Unless I am missing a rule, that is an impossible shot.
Yes, you are absolutely right, 8+ would be required to hit. Glad you spotted it as I find it to be a bit of a grey area. First few games I played before this I played with that way of shooting but I did find it very slow, primarily because I'm playing on a much bigger board than detailed in rules, and not shooting being a big part of the game. Rolling dice is fun 😁 Hope to get some clarification on it soon. I've not got the hardback rule book which might detail it in there, Keeping it to 6s on a +7,8,9 etc just helped keeping it flowing enjoyable 😊
You could use the rules from Bolt Action (another Warlord Game). If you need a 6+, you throw dice like this. 7: 6 followed by a second role where you need a 4+ 8: 6 followed by 5+ 9: 6 followed by 6 10: Not possible I think that could be a possible way to play.
For pointswise level fleets, the japanese seem to be horribly outgunned. Either the 225 points for the Furutaka is a misprint or the torpedos and armoured deck trait are very overpriced, based on their merit in the game. It's more comparable to a Königsberg-class light cruiser at 110 Points, than the Portland at 140. So maybe it intended point cost was 125?
Yeah, I agree with you there. Points wise the Furutaka is massively expensive. Not 100% sure how the points work out for the game system yet, but with games played already it always looks like the Japanese are out gunned at times, yet I've had a lot of victorys with them 🤔 lucky dice I suppose. I've not really taken advantage of the Torpedoes available on the Cruisers much, possibly this is the reason behind their expensive points.
@@el-wargamer348torpedos are an extremely deadly addition to Japanese cruisers that always makes me scared to bring my destroyers up close with them, especially since they are reloadable, unlike any of my American torpedoes. If you haven’t yet, I recommend trying to incorporate them much more heavily into your games.
Man this game system could have so much more, if they'd only up'd the scale to something like 1:1000 as to bring appeal for painters, to create more immersion and get rid of those eyesore bases
You could probably cross over the rules to use with 1/700 scale ships. I've got a few of that size and they are waterline models too. However the table would need to be a bit more bigger. Most probably why it was designed for, to be played on the kitchen table etc. 😊 The Bases where off putting for myself when first looking into this game, however they have over time grown on me. With a 3D printer it's possible to create ships with out the bases, which I've seen people doing. 👍🏻
Thank you, glad you like it ☺️👍🏻 I use & play with a custom set of solo playing rules, well more of a guide should I say. I'm actually sorting out a video to make about playing Solo and how I incorporate it into my games 😊
Thank you 😊 I would say yes, you could make it work for larger scale models. It's relatively a straight forward game so with a few tweeks it would work.
Hmm IJN destroyers from 1928 against American destroyers from 1942.... IJN cruiser from 1925 American Cruiser from 1931... And the Americans get more ships... No wonder the Japanese seem out gunned.... Not the channels fault, I'm sure it is a question of game balance from the game maker...
Just starting this series, I love Warships. Not a board gameer but I love watching it. Thanks for uploading. :)
Loving these battle reports, they helped me decide to run my own solo games and I'm having a blast!
Thank you 👍🏻😊

Good to see you enjoying the game, lots to learn and hopefully more models to follow.
Thank you, yes very much enjoying the game. Plan is to slowly build up the games with more ships each time so the rules sink in more over each game. 😊
Loved it man, my US MTB and Subs along with the full rulebook arrived today, looking forward to the rest of the videos
Thank you 😊 It's a great fun game 👍🏻
Give this man more views and follows!!! 😍 just starting with victory at sea i enjoy your content man! greetings from germany!

Thanks for making this video. I just bought this game for my first wargame, this helped clarify some questions.
Thank you 😊👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it and happy it helps. It's a fun game you will enjoy it.
Nice to see a run through, thanks
Great video, hope you continue this series.
Thank you, will be posting more for sure 👍🏻
Nice battle! Please make more of these
thank you your series has got me hooked on this game😁
Many thanks. Bit behind on things but will be releasing video soon to carry on the campaign. Glad you liked it so far 🙂 great game to get into
Pronunciation sounded good, it’s a real pet peeve of mine when I hear people stress the vowels incorrectly
really awesome. I think torpedo hits should auto roll for crit, as damage below the waterline usually hits the good stuff, but Im totally new to this

Thanks for this video to learn this Crazy board game😀
I think you should have a small flag counter near each ship so you can differentiate which ship is which? Half the time I couldnt tell the ships apart
Good idea, I will come up with something 🙂👍🏻

How does the firing work?
Where did you get the dice trays mate?
Dice trays are from Deepcut studio 😊👍🏻
Your pronunciation for the Furutaka and Fubuki is correct mate !

I've heard of people scaling this game up and using a full gym to play a battle
I love the die by the American cruiser
May I ask where you got them from?
The dice I got them from Warlord games. 😊👍🏻
@@el-wargamer348 thank you
Loved the video! Are you using the solo rules that Warlord published?
Thank you, glad you like it ☺️👍🏻

Pretty sure Torpedo crits on 5 or 6.
I think I just spent over 1k... Love the game and painting everything is a blast as well.
Good battle report, looks like A good naval game. Can you play it in any scale?
Thank you 😊
I would say yes, you could make it work for larger scale models. It's relatively a straight forward game so with a few tweeks it would work.
Good vid,subbed ☺
Thank you 👍🏻😊
What happens with the Furutaka shoots in turn 2?
Bit of a editing problem, but its shots missed I believe 😊👍🏻
Do you use torpedoes in you wargaming? In WW2, destroyers and some cruisers both heavy and light are able to fire torpedoes.
