Went from Pro 1 to Pro 2. Bass is definitely more noticeable. Noise cancelling kinda noticeable but not hugely (for me, people have said otherwise). Adaptive Transparency is incredible to me. Outside sounds a crystal clear and at a good volume. Honestly, the bass and volume slider were more than enough for me to call them worth it. Love the tracking feature as well since they're always attached to my keys, so I can easily find my keys.
Upgraded from the original Airpods. Noise canceling is noticeably better and sound quality as well. I was actually genuinely surprised considering Apples reputation for minimal upgrades from generation to generation
@@Fozzee.1970 It happened a bit after actually. Also the 2nd Gen were also effected. I have a 2nd Gen, it got slightly worse after it updated. They still work well, but not as well as they did a couple weeks ago

I’ve had original AirPods Pro for half a year, and I repeatedly switched back and forth as a test. My impressions match yours exactly: The old ones weren’t bad at all, but the new ones are significantly better, with even more detailed sound, much better bass, and noise canceling that noticeably cancels more noise. I wore one in one ear while shopping at a busy supermarket today, and (1) the person I was talking to on the phone sounded super clear, (2) they heard me perfectly well but couldn’t hear the store’s background music even when I was standing directly under a speaker that sounded pretty loud to me, and (3) after the call was over, I literally forgot I had it in my ear because Transparency Mode is that good. These are amazing.
Compared to my Beats Fit Pro earbuds, the Airpods Pro 2 are much better for ANC and transparency. While the Fit Pro earbuds have more bass, the Airpods Pro 2 earbuds handle bass just fine but are better overall. The Fit Pro earbuds are great for active workouts but don't have premium feel and the case quality needs to improve.
I wasn't going to get these at first ( I have the first gen) but I'm glad I did. The battery life is a lot better (went on a few flights and they held up), the sound is better (not by much but it's noticable), and the noise cancelling is outstanding.
This is a perfect example of why it’s better to wait longer for upgrades, but at the same time, I don’t really have a problem with that either, cause there’s always people with much older devices looking for an upgrade!
Me personally Im so happy that they didn’t changed the design. I don’t like those bold earbuds like Bose or Sony. Yes they may have better sound quality, but The AirPods Pro’s are slim, minimalistic, ergonomic and I’m sure someday they will keep up with the sound quality with ease.
I was tempted by the Pro 2 only because my Pros were giving static noises. Luckily had them replaced under the recall program so I should be golden for another 2+ years now

ANC and transparency, yes a bit better. But for someone buying the first pair of airpods, if you get the 1st gen at a discounted price, I don't think these are worth maybe a difference in price more than 30%
The price of these is ridiculous in Sweden. I love AirPods Pro but I’m not paying $300. I got Sony WF-1000XM4 for $180 instead. Great earbuds but not quite as seamless.
I've been going to movie theaters with my airpod pros on and it's been great. You just turn on transparency mode with voice boost on. Loud music gets quieter and voices gets louder
In a market where Active Noise Cancelation is such high demand, all major brands are offering it in some form. These version to version upgrades are essential and such a hallmark for the Apple brand. Still it's nice to see Apple at least put in the work to be relevant and give these version to version upgrades, Apple is so known for.
Interesting view about the sound quality not being much changed. I wouldn't call myself an audiophile, music fanatic, yes, but the v2 sound much, much better to me than the v1, particularly in the much better modulated sub-bass freqs, but actually throughout. Actual audiophiles like John Darko and The Headphone Show are also saying that.
Came here to say exactly this. I'm a lost cause when it comes to fidelity, I struggle to hear a difference between lossless audio and Spotifys 320kbps. But the AirPods Pro 2s blew my mindhole when I listened to them for the first time, coming from the Pro 1s.

I upgraded as I accidentally put my gen 1 through the washing machine, they are not water 💦 proof 😢 and sound like I was holding seashells to my ears 👂. The gen 2 are far more superior in battery life, sound, and finally for finding when lost. Great video 👍🏼

I accidentally bought the air pods pro because they look the same, used them for 30 days and was unimpressed. Once i realized I got the wrong ones I ordered the air pods pro 2 and man they are night and day better. More comfortable, MUCH better sound, and the noise cancellation is probably the best I’ve ever seen in a ear bud.
Switching between macbook and iphone is terrible. Apple watch connectivity is terrible too. Devices detect airpods too late, switching between devices is laggy. I hope they will fix it soon.
You must have a lot of earwax eh :) To my ears, the overall sound has better clarity and dynamics with improved bass and sub bass presentation. Refined and appreciated when coupled with ANC improvement.
Same! Always thought AirPods were a bit of a gimmick or just not quite good enough. My usual earphones broke last week and I figured I'd finally give AirPods a try given how many people I see with them these days. At first I wasn't that impressed, but after using them in more situations and listening to more types of audio I realised just how good they are.
If you have the money, yes definetly. If it would be any stretch at all, dont. your AirPods 3 are still great and you will enjoy them for a while (Or until you lose them lol).

I have the gen 1 pros and they have given me a lot of problems despite getting it replaced 4 times. Since pros 2 launched I have been thinking of getting those (but don’t want to waste time getting them replaced now and then in case they turn out to be like pro 1). I am also considering Sony WF-1000MX4 as they have much better ANC along with a better sound quality. do not get Sony WF-1000MX4, I have them and so many issues already after a year- battery so dead, one side loader than the other, wooshing sounds, so bad
These are best man, the noice cancellation is ridiculous and the new feature to increase/decrease the volume perfect. I love them and will be using them for long I guess
These will not protect your ears from potential damage. They counter the sounds with equal sound waves. I work in a loud environment where ppe is required and these are not rated to protect your hearing.
They are the best! I game exclusively on mobile platforms. The best is iPad and the best headphones for gaming on Apple devices are these by far. Gen 1 held it down strong but can’t stand up to these. I’m getting another pair!
What about the quality of the microphones in the mid/long term? My AirPods Pro 1 have a serious problem with the quality of the sound OTHER people hear when I’m calling them. Quality of speakers and noise reduction? Perfect. Quality of sound from the mics? Terrible. Not from when they are new; it starts after a month or so. Apparently it’s a systemic default: I changed my set twice whilst the were on Apple Care protection and all THREE of them (the original set and the two replacements) have had the same issue. Then I gave up and when I have to make calls I use wired air plugs. A hint of smile from some Geniuses at my Apple Store have implicitly confirmed to me that it is a recurring problem. How are the AirPods Pro 2 doing on this regard?
An audio engineer did a test on exactly this: and the mic on the second generation is definitely much much better. I have the AirPod pros 1 as well and have the exact same problem as you. Definitely check out some demos on TH-cam :-)
Overly expensive in asia. Id get Soundpeats instead. Got an airpod 3 but the absence of anc got it less desirable. Never thought i need anc until i started going gym
I have just one issue with this buds, its Dolby Atmos sound quality. its sounding muffled horrible when the feature is ON. when i turned it OFF all good, i have also another music streaming platform youtube music. surprisingly songs are sounding much better there with even low compressor bitrate :) are you guys having same issue when you listen an album supported dolby atmos? thanks

There's a major and immediately obvious improvement in sound quality. The old generation has no sub-bass, the new one hits you with it as soon as you start listening. I feel sorry for your ears.

Just concerned about the video's opening remarks because it seems to scream "change for the sake of change". Apple definitely had ear models to work on when designing the EarPods released back in 2012. They had to accommodate a set of multiple ear sizes by using a generic shape and earbud design. This later turned out to still be the same blueprint for the AirPods Pro (1st gen), but with perk of removable ear tips for fit customization. I definitely wouldn't want Apple to just change the AirPods Pro (2nd gen) design just to give them something to differentiate from the previous generation just for the sake of change. Think of it how like the iPhone lineup used to retain their same design language during the 's' years, and not changing literally every single year just for the sake of it.

If I didn’t have apple products I’d still using either Bose or Sony. But with apple products, the connective and ease of use is just too good when using air pods, and with the pro 2’s they finally sound almost as good as Bose.
I have AirPods Pro and they have NO base whatsoever. Therefore they just don’t sound good enough to be even in the same league as, e.g the Sennheisers. Why is this not mentioned?
I bought some Monday and they won’t stay in my ear!!! I have 2 tips coming in. - comply memory foam - memory foam (with silicon outer layer) Might switch to the beats for pro if that doesn’t work out because I mainly use them to workout and fit is the most important to me. I’m coming from the Powerbeats Pro so the bigger Beats Fit Pro case and no wireless charging doesn’t affect me. Plus it has USB-C 😅
By being the same design it means that they are refining what they think is the perfect shape for earphones. That means they will continue to improve whilst also making the older generations..not look as old as they actually are. I'd be more sus if they keep changing the design

Not on everyones! My Airpods Pro 2 are the same. and the Airpods Max ANC was lessened in an earlier update not this one. Really is Apple lessened the ANC in Airpods pro 1 and Airpods Max due to a patent issue and now the Airpods Pro 2 ANC is pretty much the same as when they released the first ones.
No bro the og Pros are trash I had them and returned them in two days I prefer bose headphones next to the 1st gen Now the 2nd gen are VERY GOOD! The noice cancellation actually cancels around noice

Yeah I got the Fit Pros the other day and was really disappointed by the case. Sent them back as the fin was hurting my ears.
I personally thought the music sound was far better with the pro 2’s. Bass was definitely more noticeable. Air pod pros have virtually no bass.

No design change is a pretty big minus. Because you can’t show off that you have the newer gen AirPods Pro.

do not get Sony WF-1000MX4, I have them and so many issues already after a year- battery so dead, one side loader than the other, wooshing sounds, so bad
These are best man, the noice cancellation is ridiculous and the new feature to increase/decrease the volume perfect. I love them and will be using them for long I guess
Son, the lanyard helps me keep me from leaving them at me mo mahz. Son, me team ties them off to me.
These will not protect your ears from potential damage. They counter the sounds with equal sound waves. I work in a loud environment where ppe is required and these are not rated to protect your hearing.

I'm still using my Galaxy Buds Pro (old I know) with my 14 pro and they still sound great. Maybe I'll upgrade next year

went from regular AirPods 1st gen to these and the difference is like night and day
They are the best! I game exclusively on mobile platforms. The best is iPad and the best headphones for gaming on Apple devices are these by far. Gen 1 held it down strong but can’t stand up to these. I’m getting another pair!
What about the quality of the microphones in the mid/long term? My AirPods Pro 1 have a serious problem with the quality of the sound OTHER people hear when I’m calling them. Quality of speakers and noise reduction? Perfect. Quality of sound from the mics? Terrible. Not from when they are new; it starts after a month or so. Apparently it’s a systemic default: I changed my set twice whilst the were on Apple Care protection and all THREE of them (the original set and the two replacements) have had the same issue. Then I gave up and when I have to make calls I use wired air plugs. A hint of smile from some Geniuses at my Apple Store have implicitly confirmed to me that it is a recurring problem. How are the AirPods Pro 2 doing on this regard?
An audio engineer did a test on exactly this: and the mic on the second generation is definitely much much better. I have the AirPod pros 1 as well and have the exact same problem as you. Definitely check out some demos on TH-cam :-)
Overly expensive in asia. Id get Soundpeats instead. Got an airpod 3 but the absence of anc got it less desirable. Never thought i need anc until i started going gym
I have just one issue with this buds, its Dolby Atmos sound quality. its sounding muffled horrible when the feature is ON. when i turned it OFF all good, i have also another music streaming platform youtube music. surprisingly songs are sounding much better there with even low compressor bitrate :) are you guys having same issue when you listen an album supported dolby atmos? thanks

don’t just wear the AirPods raw at the concert lol. Have them under a beanie or hoodie for better concealment

There's a major and immediately obvious improvement in sound quality. The old generation has no sub-bass, the new one hits you with it as soon as you start listening. I feel sorry for your ears.
Huh thats strange I never really thought people still heard things with noise cancellation mode on my gen1 I hear litteraly nothing maybe I just have the right size ear for them but when Im bumping music I can walk thru a construction site and not pick up any sound

Just concerned about the video's opening remarks because it seems to scream "change for the sake of change". Apple definitely had ear models to work on when designing the EarPods released back in 2012. They had to accommodate a set of multiple ear sizes by using a generic shape and earbud design. This later turned out to still be the same blueprint for the AirPods Pro (1st gen), but with perk of removable ear tips for fit customization. I definitely wouldn't want Apple to just change the AirPods Pro (2nd gen) design just to give them something to differentiate from the previous generation just for the sake of change.
Think of it how like the iPhone lineup used to retain their same design language during the 's' years, and not changing literally every single year just for the sake of it.
Try oladance. The buds themselves have 16 continuous hours of play and the charging case needs charged once a week.

Almost 340 USD in india…, yeah i can get by with the sony wh1000xm5 which by the way comes at 350 USD( on sale ) in india, only if it was atleast 150 USD cheaper…
If I didn’t have apple products I’d still using either Bose or Sony. But with apple products, the connective and ease of use is just too good when using air pods, and with the pro 2’s they finally sound almost as good as Bose.
Wait for the USB-C-version next year.

I have AirPods Pro and they have NO base whatsoever. Therefore they just don’t sound good enough to be even in the same league as, e.g the Sennheisers. Why is this not mentioned?

By being the same design it means that they are refining what they think is the perfect shape for earphones. That means they will continue to improve whilst also making the older generations..not look as old as they actually are. I'd be more sus if they keep changing the design

@@rigo8254 yes noise cancelling. As of the latest firmware update the noise cancelling has significantly been made worse. Now you can hear most things even feint sounds

You will also regret if you update the AirPods Pro to the new firmware as Apple has ruined the ANC on these and AirPod Max.
Not on everyones! My Airpods Pro 2 are the same. and the Airpods Max ANC was lessened in an earlier update not this one. Really is Apple lessened the ANC in Airpods pro 1 and Airpods Max due to a patent issue and now the Airpods Pro 2 ANC is pretty much the same as when they released the first ones.

I hate them! Plus I had to send back one pair then Apple sends me back a refurnished pair that had ear wax inside the case and the case had scuffs on it. THANKS Apple, I love paying full retail price for refurbished used air pods. Called Apple they said nothing they can do, it’s past the return period. So I sold them and bought the new Samsungs which are WAY better! Overall lost money and will never buy Apple again…
