That looks great! But as you said … storing it. I know you like to craft the actual thing your players are going to encounter ahead of time, but storage and transport (I mean, I can't drive and I live in a tiny-ass apartment) just make it impractical to have a lot of stuff. Especially to have a lot of heavy stuff. Ideally I want to be able to fit everything I need in like a teacher cart or a backpack or something. That means having fairly universal bits that can be turned into whatever I need them to be. Kind of akin to a HeroQuest box (which honestly is where I first became interested in crafting this stuff-still love the game for a bit of hack and slash fun!)
Why does no one consider animals would have EATEN the growth in roads. Not to mention that is where they walk. But, that's just me being critical of an awesome piece.

very very cool! re storage: metal wall mounted note board/white board and magnetd sunk into the underside of the hill. it can then be stored on the wall. Bonus it'll look like a cool art installation.
Very cool. I’m new to your channel and I can relate to your methods of building terrain. I’m not very artistic but I’m wanting to try your simple methods. I enjoyed the line you build for your game. I’m going to check out your other videos happy playing
I dont wanna be that dude. But cart tracks wouldn't actually look like that. Those are automotive tracks. You need a beast of burden to pull the cart. So there wouldn't be any grass between the tracks as they would have been trampled in But it looks amazing. Just a small detail that I remember that many people would even think about
What a great hill!! Turned out really well and has perfect pockets of areas for gameplay. My challenge of doing hills is deciding whether or not to put roads/paths. When you do it looks so good but now it breaks illusion if it's used in a wilderness setting. If you dont---well now you dont have roads for inhabited areas...unless you use modular roads...which are not as realistic as the the "built in" roads.
First off - love it, this turned out fantastic. Second - that end speed-up montage of you putting it all together brought me back to the days of my youth when I would do massive battlefield layouts for having "battles". Would have been in the '70's & very early 80's as I used to get Marx toy soldier sets every year for BDay/Christmas - things like Battleground, the Blue & the Gray, The Alamo, etc... and after several years of collecting I had a ton of things to use to bring my vision to life - toss in Lincoln Logs, and Playschool blocks and we were ready to go. I'm now thinking this might be the perfect way to bring those old childhood memories back to life with my current D& D hobby. Having only recently found this channel, I wish you all the best as you are quickly becoming one of my most relatable youtubers and you can see the love for what you are doing shining through to your videos. Congrats & a huge THANK YOU for all you do!

Love that you gave the railroaders their props. Those guys are awesome but don’t get enough love. There is so much bleed over. Tbh I am not in love with their subject matter but it is hard to argue with their technique and results. Tons of knowledge to be gleaned from that community.

There really is! And long before we were building miniature battle mats they were perfecting a lot of the techniques we use!
