Just incredible that 4 loco's of the same class from the same railway company remain operational well into the 21st Century and continue to look splendid.
Hi there, i was the senior station master on duty on the main demonstration line platform hope you had a really good day with us today many thanks jake senior station master
Anybody else chuckling with '4 candles' and a certain Ronnie Barker sketch? Or even a maritime link 'forecastle'? Cool video and audio regardless..🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🚂🚂🚂🚂🚢🤔🤭😉👍🇬🇧
@@Shed87AProductions I was also in that crowd somewhere. I can remember going on a railtour from Didcot to the Severn Valley many years ago behind 5051 and she certainly gave us an entertaining run. I've got lots of video footage from yesterday to edit, but all I've had time to do so far is 5043 and 7029 racing through Oxford on the return trip with whistles screaming and the regulators in the the rooves! The footage at Didcot will have to wait for another day...
In my spotting days (mid-late 50s) I managed to 'cop' all Castles apart from one - 5033 Broughton Castle evaded me for 5 years. Still hate the look of the double chimneys though!
Wonderful sight. Thanks so much for kindly sharing. I loved it.
Superb, just superb...

Didcot always gets these lineups so exactly spot on.
Me thinks there's a lot of measuring goes on before hand!
They got everything spot on today - Really great day out 👌👍
Fantastic!
Thank you! Cheers! 👍
Cool video I even see myself and my family in it 😂 thanks for sharing
Thanks - Hopefully everyone enjoyed the day out 👍
@@trainsplanes Yeah man but was a little too crowded in places and that queue line for refreshments sucked
Lovely filmed. A pleasure to watch, an event I knew nothing about.
Thanks - Glad you enjoyed it.

I haven't seen crowds like this for 15 years at Didcot. So pleased to have got there for this special day.

To make the full comparison it would have to be "Fork Arseholes", which doesn't quite match the original humour!!
Nice one. I wonder if I'm on there somewhere?
This was today??! I thought it was in June, unless there’s another one
Hi Nate, yes it was today - There is a day at Tyseley in June.
Epic stuff, was also in your area when then was filmed so I have a small idea where I am in these shots 😀
Thanks - Top day that was.. Really good to see 👌👍
@@trainsplanes Indeed it was, especially to see 5051 out of the shed for the first in forever

@@ronfisher2-railwaytravelvideos Would that have been the Severn Valley Crusader by chance?
@@Shed87AProductions No idea! It was a long time ago - late 70s / early 80s probably.
If only I could buy Thornbury Castle.....
Clun and EOME together, must be a record for the longest and shortest named Castles ever to double head?
That’s probably very true 👍
Enough for game of chess 🤣
Steam Engines, what’s not to love……👌🏻
Absolutely 💯 👍
Were castles Broad gauge
Always been standard gauge since Caerphilly Castle first rolled out
No. The last broad gauge lines were converted to standard gauge in 1892. The Castles were introduced in 1923.

Each machine with its own personality
Engineering at its finest❤❤❤

Great stuff! None finer!
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
