We have a close friend of ours, Brian, who got ran over by a tractor that slipped into gear. He survived thankfully but suffered internal bleeding, a fractured pelvis, 6 broken ribs, and a fractured jaw. The doctors stopped the internal bleeding and have him in a medically induced coma until they operatedon him. He could use all the prayers sent his way, Thank you.

Hey Robert, He's out of the coma. They did some surgery on him they removed his spleen, and they put a metal plate in his chest because he was having trouble breathing from his broken ribs, which were pressing against one of his lungs.

Telling you ROB you have another golden opportunity to bring fans along and still create content. Hire a guide and use his license and take fans on trips. Money aint everything but id bet this would really move the needle and at same time help out local guides at same time. Cant imagine fans would snub their nose at $750 to $1000 a day to go out and do an adventure with you. JMO brother. by the way Im a Shiver and we dam well might be related. I watch Blue gabe as well and I know he talks about an uncle who's last name is Shiver. Cant be to many of us .

Grateful for the deckhand that properly educated me and kept me safe after I landed a MASSIVE lion fish a few years back about 60 miles off of SC! I was oblivious to the risk.
Massive? So like what a pound?
@@boitanoexcavation3564 It was easily a pound. Honestly could’ve been 1.5 pounds or more. It was oddly big. Captain bashed its head in and tossed it in the trash so quick that my bro-in-law and I barely had time to react. I was not too familiar with them so didn’t realize what we had caught. The second one we caught was much more normal sized.
I can’t imagine the pain you must have went through Robert. I don’t think I could have been that strong without saying a lot of bad words. I’m so glad you they didn’t lose you in the water. Good Bless you all!

Constricted blood flow probably, You see it in obese people and people with heart problems alot, usually the legs. Interesting it happened from a lionfish, probably swelling constricting your blood flow more than likely.
Next time get Scissors to cut of barbs. Ya think?
I'll never try to fillet one of these fishes without removing the barbs while wearing rubber gloves and standing behind bulletproof glass.

That’s a funny situation. Seething in pain at the back (couldn’t tell too much) of the boat, friend comes over gives him food hoping it may help him, then all of a sudden, the one seething in pain reacts to a rod bending😂😂. Definitely a “you gotta be tough” kind of moment😂

When I was a kid. We had a saltwater aquarium. We had a lionfish. All I remember is my dad was stung. And the lion fish didn't survive lol

Hey Robert firstly, i would love to thank you for your videos. I come from a family who never really been about the outdoor life hunting and fishing. I live in Philadelphia a big city and hunting and fishing is just not something you do as a low income kid growing up in Philadelphia. But through your videos i have gotten myself out there and now as adult i have gotten began hunting and fishing. Eventhough i am the only one that does it in my inner circel and it can get lonely but it has really changed my life. My goal is to one day do it full time just like you, and hopefully one day i can meet you and enjoy a hunt or a fishing trip with you or maybe both lol. Keep doing what your doing because your impacting more than you can ever imagine
That shows us not matter how experience you are, always have to be careful 😂😂

I keep bleach onboard for that reason. Old mullet fisherman taught me that. If you ever got stabbed by a saltwater cat fish it is terrible. If you rinse the wound immediately the outcome is much better!

I think especially in this time in our country you cannot underestimate the people like the people in this channel what they do for our country. This channel represents in my opinion what the American way of life is and has to be. Hard work, family, friends, hard times and laughter. I think this should be an example of what it means to be living in our times. Everyone has tough times, but people like this are the ones who progress our nation.

I've never been stuck by a Lionfish, so I don't know how that feels, but I had a large stingray barb me really bad in the forearm, It hit my bone and broke an inch of its barb off in me that I had to rip out with a pair of pliers, Their barbs go in smooth but they have a bunch of little barbs down both sides that act like the barb on a fish hook that keeps it from coming back out. And all I know is that the pain got worse as time went on, and a couple of hours after getting stuck I wanted someone to cut my arm off! Called the hospital and they said there was nothing they could do and told me that soaking in a really hot bath is pretty much all that can be done to help. A nurse told me that she has 3 children, and who had been stuck in the lower leg by a stingray, and she said she'd much rather go through another natural childbirth than get stuck by a stingray again.

"Stick your other thumb and get a matching set" 😂 I got stung by a catfish while walking in the surf fishing after midnight, went right thru my fip flops and into my foot - was the most painful thing I've felt, had me screaming bloody murder and seeing stars then half hour later stepped on another one on the other foot 🤣
Rob you need to get you a first dive lion fish sting kit. I have been hit quite a few times as well and even though the kit doesn't kill 100% of the pain it sure knocks it down and is worth every penny.

While I haven't experienced the pain of a lionfish sting, I have been stung by a stingray in the ankle while surfing just north of San Diego, CA. I had to soak my foot in hot water for three hours-it was excruciating. I'm glad to hear you made it through. It could have been much worse.

Stung by a lion fish, almost get lost on a dive, steak review cut short by hooked fish, dropped a go pro in the sea, and do a colab. This is the most rob and guga video ever. And I’m not even half way through the video.
I feel for you brother, I have been in the envenomated clan. It hurts, I got attacked by a swarm of bees, numerous stings. I have been attacked by paper wasps, raised welts up my arm. I think that one wasp hit me 4 separate times. Haven't had the pleasure of getting poked by a lion fish yet. I tried, when I lived on Okinawa, to catch one but I guess I was lucky it got away. It was quite striking looking, neon blue and black stripes.

As many videos as I have seen you and your groups get lionfish And lobster, it’s almost as if we assume that you are going to handle it and nothing’s going to happen. While fishing from the beach in Mexico I stepped on a saltwater catfish … a fisherman picked up the fish by the head and slapped the venom out of the puncture with the fish’s tail! We could see the white stuff being pulled out of the wound. My foot swelled up to the size of a grapefruit!!! But it could have been MUCH WORSE!
