Love this. Like BTS led the way to show a group of artists, industry outsiders can do the impossible and make it big not obeying the rules. RM proves you dont have to sell out. You can be the artist you want. MY THEORY in RMs work every mix tape and album is different from the last. His first self titled mix tape the track DO YOU( the song that says clearly he refuses to be labelled or boxed into any genre). He is continuously pushing boundaries. In a way thats what is also happening in the mv. RM wanders around depressed confused and unhappy through all these potential different lives and expectations never being comfortable. We see this has been so since he was small. At some point he becomes more comfortable in each scenario after being united with his other half/ self, and he can be more comfortable with others. But he still doesnt stay, he moves on finds himself and accompanies the woman( his other half Jung or Plato?) out of the maze of societies expectations to find non of it's real. In the light he sees its all fake sets designed and created by someone else. However with RM there is always light at the end. Hope of better futures now he can see what life is about, he is free of those boxes. There are several clues for ARMY buried within the MV. Pain Devine. During a conversation piece with Pharrell Williams they discussed judging lyrics by how painful they are to produce ...pain divine, devine inspiration?
I love hearing your thoughts. You picked up on the visual aesthetics right away. The director of the MV is the director of "Beef" (which I've not seen but this has me interested). Like you, I loved the sound. RM is really in his artistic, Indie vibe. His voice is so comfortable. And the fact that he held his own among well-known actors is awesome. I agree that there's always intention behind the music of BTS members individually & as a group. This song & MV are telling a story & giving insights into RM's personal reflections. I believe we will see that "Come Back to Me" aligns with the rest of his album, "Right Place, Wrong Person." I loved RM's "Indigo" album & I have a feeling this will be another standout album for me. I'd love to see you delve into a full BTS album. Patreon is one way to do longer album reactions, but if you'd like to try it out, you can also share album reactions on TH-cam if you break the video up into parts. I've watched a lot of album reviews that way & it would be great to experience your impressions regarding a group or member album. Keep up the great work!
Thank you Marsha for this comment. We try to look out for as much as we can. There seems to be Easter eggs left all over the MVs with these artists so we try to pick up on them. We will see if we can do the TH-cam deep dive in the albums. Thank you for watching. 💜💜💜
Love your reaction ❤ RM the most talented rapper, composer, songwriter, producer and human being ,every song he does has a different story and different emotions!!
I was so confused after first watching this video. As we know, BTS (and particularly RM & Suga) often use concepts influenced by literature. There is speculation that this MV could be related to the book "The Midnight Library". As a result I bought and am reading (and loving) this book. Here is an excerpt from the book that explains the plot: “Between life and death there is a library” she said. “And within that library, the shelves go on forever. Every book provides a chance to try another life you could have lived. To see how things would be if you had made other choices….Would you have done anything different, if you had the chance to undo your regrets?” In this book you get to go back and fix your regrets and live in your alternate realities until you find one you are totally happy with....what a beautiful concept. It makes so much sense that it relates to this book. Perhaps all the rooms we see at the end will be revisited in his other upcoming MVs?..who knows? Thanks for reacting.
This was amazing to learn. Thank you for this information. Wow. There’s always more to learn about BTS. RM is very much a thoughtful artist. We appreciate all his work. Thank you for watching 💜💜💜
Thanks for the reaction!! RM only spoiler he gave us to his album is that it would be awsome (he said that it would be 10 times better than indigo) its interesting thatyou guy mentioned the multiverse of marvel, rm liked so much dr strange movies and he were talkin to us about multiverses before going to military. I loved to see the full album reaction.also todaywe got the track list... you could check and make theories.
Thank you for this Karen. We will definitely check that out and look into starting a Patreon channel so we can go through all the albums(group and individual) how about that?! Thank you for watching and supporting 💜💜💜
I think this bears more in common with his songs like SEOUL from MONO than say INDIGO. RM announced he had made an album before V put out Layover. RM said he'd get into trouble if he gave spoilers. I am so glad he banked this until now. First it did not conflict with V and secondly it gives us something to obsess over, it will make the wait easier.
Thank you for this insight. This was an incredible MV to watch. So much thought and focus was put into it. We are loooing forward to more RM! Thank you for watching 💜💜💜
