Let me say the content was great, but the EDIT was spectacular!!! It made the whole video so easy to watch and enjoy. Very professional!! Matt you have a great team. Thank y'all for sharing your talents and adventures!!!
Matt that smile on your face is one that speaks a thousand words!! You truly enjoyed that and I am super proud of how far you've come and the times you laid down!! Great job!!!
What you guys did for ed was/is super nice. I could only dream of having friends willing to put in an afternoon of work let alone rebuilding one of my cars for me. Much respect for the Matt’s family!
Y'all and Cleeter are two of my favorite TH-cam channels, because you are all quality human beings, above all else. That being said, I also have to say, I hope you left a big MORR-yellow stripe down ol' Cleeter's freshly painted wall.
Those are some pretty big names you are rubbing shoulders with Matt. I'm watching this late and know how it played out. That is awesome. What a fun experience!
Ed giving a weather report... *PRICELESS!* 😁 Just like old times. Now all we need is a "We'll get 'em out". ...And Janelle still looking beautiful as always.
That was a very respectable showing Matt. I'm glad you had the opportunity. I hope Ed gets to drive the Golden Nugget more often. They are both precious to us.
Another great episode! Excellent job combining the different events with Matt’s racing adventure and Ed rolling in the Golden Nugget. Can’t tell you how much I look to each new video . ❤👍
The Golden Nugget is what started it all for me!!! The Golden Nugget/Rokon's Recovery, Rebuilding/Restoration, and Reveal are the reason I'm subscribed to: Matt's Off Road Recovery, Fab Rats, Robby Layton, Chad's Fab, Decent Garage, Bikes and Beards, Mischief Maker, Bleepin' Jeep, and probably others that I'm forgetting. No regrets!!!
Tom , Did you pre-stage EMT's 💓 outside Robby's before he'd hear that you were *_taking_* *_a_* *_TORCH_* 😳 🤯 to the GOLDEN NUGGET 🩺🥼 ?? Oh my MY ! 💝 💗 💓 The PALPITATIONS ! ! !
I'll bet that chunk of Golden Nugget that TomTom just cut out would go for a good amount of money. Maybe a little auction on the channel here with the money going to the All Abilities Park.
I was expecting him to flip it around and upside down then reusing, it instead of cutting a new piece. Good to see the seat in a better spot for Ed. To bad it wasn't done at the beginning when they knew it would be a problem. Drive the wheels off it Ed!!!!
Hello there Ed! Man, its good to see you again for more than just a glimpse here and there. I hope that seat makes your Nugget much more enjoyable to drive. Matt, you did pretty well for your first time out there, even with the big boys. Yes, next year! Thanks for the video, all of you.
What an absolute insane group to race. Derek Feller, Jerry, Ole Cleet and of course the Lower 48. Makes me wanna start a track build just to play next year. Maybe I'll do the build Fiero build I've been thinking about. Cleet has a fun tight track to mess around on.
Seeing ed smile is worth it all! Learn all you can from him he's an absolute gold mine of knowledge. Guys his age are leaving us everyday . Great job on the nugget 👏 everyone. Good effort on the race 🏁 its not as easy as it looks
First off, that was a fun video. Watching Miss Kaitlyn (sorry, I keep misspelling your name), I think Miss K is amazing. She is an important part of the team. Much like Lizzy, Miss K, you are and will be an inspiration to the younger girls watching you. Great video.
I’ve been waiting for the Matt’s version of the freedom 500!! That was an awesome event from the looks of it, and the car turned out amazing!! You’ve got more practice spray painting cars than some of the competitors I think 😂
Matt definitely got shafted during that crash. Guy in front of him absolutely slammed the brakes too hard for no reason. After they start moving again you can see there wasnt any danger in the way.
Saw the gap between Matt and LS George and I was hoping for that caution, need to be a little closer for that sweet sweet draft. Bummer about the emergency brake check, but that's racing! I can't wait for next year, hopefully you're re-invited! I knew who I was cheering for for this year's Freedom 500!
18:49 I had one of the first SJ410's in our area! .. They started selling them in 1981 Canada, and I bought one for my wife! It would go just over 60MPH flat out. They had normal 4 cycle 1 litre engines then. And many of the dealers sold mostly RV's The engine blew out after 4 years, (it still run but rattled like crap!) The dealer took the whole thing apart, welding the connecting rod journals up and ground them back to stock (Under size bearings were not available yet) , new pistons and valves, etc etc ALL for 0$ under warranty!! We were told it was one of the very first engine rebuilds under warranty :) We drove it for 5 or 6 more years after that, with zero issues except a new exhaust, we never even had to put brake pads onit!
Ed nailing the throttle. My friend's 99 year old mother peeling out in her '70 440 Chrysler. My 85 year old aunt complaining that her old Pontiac is not fast enough. Older folks can still get it on.
13:55 Heckin' yes, Kaulin! I was already looking forward to vacationing in Utah next year (never been to that US state yet) for the 2025 Matt's Offroad Games. However, if a "Minivan Long-Jump" becomes an event, I'm *_sure_* I can scrounge one up on my trailer and become an active participant. Bonus points if I can make it a full-send Pontiac Aztek "AUV" to be removed from our dang Earth. LOL! 😉 (Perhaps _actual_ backwards off _The Chute_ à la Rory would be in scope as well?)
I found MORR after I found VGG, and that was after I found Cleeter. I've sat here and wished and hoped they would ALL find each other. This event brought that hope to reality!
5:13 I would have recommended that you spray Cool Gel on everything you don't want to get too hot. I use it regularly when I have to copper sweat a plumbing joint in sensitive areas.
Nice driving and nice job on the seat move! Too cool getting Ed behind the wheel. All of that fixin' was for Ed to drive, not to sit on the SEMA floor. 🙂
Respectable showing there Matt!! Faulty equipment for sure caused it....that and some unexpected stop action. Katelynn...let's not give Tom Tom a big head....he'll start thinking he's good at things and you know what happens then. You'll never get outta the shop!! Always something to do! Well except for those off road recoveries...Haha. Glad no one got hurt...cause racing taxis is/can be dangerous. Until next year Cleetus!!
Nice work on the Nugget!! Nice to see Ed driving it again!! Matt... I had so much fun rooting for you on the race track. Dumb bad luck!! Like you said" Maybe next year"!! I'll be looking forward to it!! 😁😁😁
amazing video MORR team. great editing. Good to see Matt and sons and Jamye all together. I cried when I saw Tomtom cut on the Golden nugget, But seeing the smile on EDs face as he drove it was amazing. GREAT VIDEO
This is a crazy event, and you took a wall strike like a boss without making a problem. If you hadn't gotten snarled earlier, you'd have been fine. No concerns. Do it again, this is like the ideal mix between chaos, level-set and freedom.
25:06 Matt was too high on the corner, got into the dirt off line and just understeered straight into the wall. (Catches out pro racing drivers) Great performance overall.. it's hella disorientating first time on a track, especially such a small one with such a packed field. Next year is right. Also would love to see a vic offroad build (safari/dakar rally style) Now that you have sampled the supreme performance, versatility and durability of an ex police cruiser crown vic 🤣
Great job at the race Matt. Also, awesome job on the seat, Tom Tom. Ed was definitely enjoying his more comfortable ride in the Nugget. Such a great team.
18:35 …. Seeing Ed giving the _Golden Nugget_ the beans was all I needed to see to make me smile from ear to ear! 😁
100% came here to say the same thing
and he is a first drive, foot to the floor guy still.. love him.
Still a fan of Ed.. good man
Best part of the video for sure!
I knew someone else would say it so heres my endorsement.
You did great Matt. Can’t wait to see ya there again. Get Cleetus out for some rock crawling in Sand Hollow sometime.
Cleetus off asphalt never goes well lol
Cleetus has a monster of a sand rail he can bring as well.
That would be awesome!!
knowing Cleetus, he'd probably dominate riiiiight up until he makes a mistake right near the end, and then end up losing it all, lol.
So glad Jake was able to make the trip, he adds so much to the channel. Great job on the nugget Tom and Katyln!
-- Agreed, need to see more of him. Sorta of the same with Robby Layton: I'd like to see more of Cody.
My favourite MORR character for sure. Always has that lovely warm smile lifting everyone's spirits.
It was so fun riding with Ed in the Golden Nugget! I hope he starts driving it every day.
Tom : 'It's no licensed'
Ed : FUUUULLLLL POWWWWEEERRR !

Great to see Ed driving the Golden Nugget at long last.
Really hoping ed will daily drive the Suzuki instead of his truck.

24:10 that's some beautiful drone flying
I'm pretty sure that's some footage from Cleetus' live stream, but I agree...great piloting and filming work.

2:27 what does 48 mean? 😂 it's for the lower 48, in Matt's terms 😂
I thought it was his age, but this is funnier!
Lol
Lol don't ask him where the 4 corners are. 🤣😂
Came looking for this comment.
So has the suspension been chopped?
Seeing Ed always warms my heart a bit to know he has a "family" that cares about him so much.
HEY EDITORS!!! Remind Matt how awesome that transition was at 11 minutes when it's time for your Christmas bonus!!!!! That was awesome!
Matt you did good. Tom Tom did a hell of a job on that seat. This was a good video.
Thanks man!

That was awesome! So much fun! Good job Matt! And Tom and Katelyn did a great job of fixing the seat in the Golden Nugget for Ed.
Watching Ed drive the Nug is the best!!! 👍 👍
God Bless you all for loving Ed like family!!! No one should be alone

The look on Ed's face makes all that work worth it. That man went back 30 years when he matted it. Great work guys.
I believe those original recovery videos of retrieving the Golden Nugget are largely responsible for blowing up Matts Channel like it is!
That and the wrecker build
Some people believe in the tooth fairy too lol.
I was watching Matt for a long time before either of those events. I'm a die-hard XJ guy.
I started watching him before the golden nugget, but those two things definitely made a big big bump.
@@Chesterfield.Esquire98 ya so was I, way before that, but that recovery of the Golden Nugget was some of the best content on TH-cam!
