@Om Chaturvedi Why does government blocks onion exports when prices go high? Affecting farmers incomes. But doesn't care when prices are low. Government need to stop controlling and allow free markets to take course to stabilize prices. Any sane farmer would ask government to help in diversification and minimum control. These farm protests are stupid and counter productive.
Actually my family faced that problem that you discussed from 4:30s. We had to sold our mango crop for 5 rs per kg and transportation was really a challenge for us. Due to this even though we got more crop than expected, the income was actually less than expenditure. It has been 3 months from when we sold crop and we are still in debt.
@@amanprasad1345 bro it's not as easy as you think. We can sell to local juice factories. Even they they buy it for same cost as in mandi atleast they pay on the spot. But they don't buy everyone's crop. They buy limited crop according to their storage facilities.
@@Nag380 bro I only know one solution . The more we connect farmers to consumers more they benefits . So it was my suggestion to try to sell it to some e-commerce company directly to consumers . It will reduce middle man's and farmer can get market price instead of price set by some company or mandi.

It's a good point of view where businesses come together to help the farmers ecosystem. However, the dark side to this is also that just like the traders, businesses or people working in such organizations get power hungry and start lowering the farmer's profits who is there to monitor them. It's the same as the Uber story of the US, get rid of the competition & then dominate with surge pricing. There has to be a regulatory authority in place to keep everyone in check. In any case, it was a nice video I did get to know somethings about ITC today.

My 1st comment on TH-cam. I have seen the flaw in my state too. Mandis have taken unofficial credit up to 20 days (advantage) and the distance also matters to small farmers. Therefore, they bound to sell to the Junior contractor at the bare minimum price to protect their working capital rather than earning profits. You clearly nailed out the issue to the core! Worth watching your analysis and you always come up with the reliable information. Great Job man!!!
Kam dimaag, farm bills are the most efficient tool for farmers only if it includes "mandatory/compulsory minimum selling price" Allotted to farmers. A home without tight foundation will only make the contractor rich, not the people living in it.
@@khizerlmnxyz0003 U have kam dimag, MSP is the reason why farmers are exploited in Mandi by artiyar and FCI officials. The MSP has become 'Maximum selling price' instead of 'minimum' and no one buys above that price in Mandi. It's like a lollipop that farmers do not want to part with, but is also the reason for their Tooth Cavity. MSP is only beneficial for big farmers who get profits by the scale of production but is a bad bargain for small farmers as they loose all that money in paying debt and transportation.
@Om Chaturvedi Price discovery and understanding the demand is also what the farmers should learn to do . Not just produce excess and dump it in Mandi and FCI bankrupting it. Instead growing wheat and rice more than required just because MSP is given is madness.
@Om Chaturvedi and who said farmers sell at MSP? Most small farmers sell below MSP to large Farmers as they are not capable to transport their produce to mandis.

Imagine how much internet and computer can revolutionize the agriculture sector...
We need bills on computerization of mandis if we really want to upgrade life of farmers
It’s already started by central government ... I forgot particular name of the scheme it connects all near by mandis and u can see the prize of other mandis and demand and u can sell where u want , but main bill in hold by SC bcz of protest ... and that scheme is quiet successful around 1.6 crore where registered there almost around some billion transactions happening
Awesome! What an amazing video! Have shared it to all my contacts! Some of the viewer’s comments are so true & inspiring for other farmers too! Many thanks for such content!
I really want your videos to be as long as possible.... I'm just so addicted to your videos ❤️....Keep it up...
Now I'm addicted to think school.
Your research, the way you present stats and facts are fabulous.
You geopolitics series snatched my mind towards your channel.
I'm tired of praising this channel's content. Its like never-ending quality content
I just love the content and the presentation and the way how simple Ganesh Sir and Team does it, with more effort comes more appreciation Thank-you so much for this learning.
A request to the team can we have a video on the Indian stock markets, the vulnerabilities and threat and the new forth coming opportunities , I would always be grateful to you.
My father is a doctor ...but we do have a farm ...this year we had mustard ...msp of mustard is 5000
But when we contacted a person in our neighbour who wanted mustard the market price of mustard was more than 7000 rupees ....we were able to sell mustard directly to the buyer rather than going to mandi first due to new farm laws ....🙏gaining a profit of 2000 rupees per quintal 🙏🙏🙏🙏
❤️❤️
This is why i love modi
Get out dear, before farm bills you could still sell mustard wherever you want, it is not under the msp system in which wheat and rice come
@Om Chaturvedi Why does government blocks onion exports when prices go high?
Affecting farmers incomes.
But doesn't care when prices are low.
Government need to stop controlling and allow free markets to take course to stabilize prices.
Any sane farmer would ask government to help in diversification and minimum control. These farm protests are stupid and counter productive.
@@ThinkSchool a salute to your video and but for women ✌✌✌✌ do reply
Literally this video made me cry how farmers were been looted for not giving enough share of profit to even survive
Thanku ITC
Actually my family faced that problem that you discussed from 4:30s. We had to sold our mango crop for 5 rs per kg and transportation was really a challenge for us. Due to this even though we got more crop than expected, the income was actually less than expenditure. It has been 3 months from when we sold crop and we are still in debt.
Try to sell it to some e-commerce company
@@amanprasad1345 bro it's not as easy as you think. We can sell to local juice factories. Even they they buy it for same cost as in mandi atleast they pay on the spot. But they don't buy everyone's crop. They buy limited crop according to their storage facilities.
@@Nag380 bro I only know one solution . The more we connect farmers to consumers more they benefits . So it was my suggestion to try to sell it to some e-commerce company directly to consumers .
It will reduce middle man's and farmer can get market price instead of price set by some company or mandi.
Hello, you and team are doing great job. Starting from finding a story, developing it, researching, scripting, presenting, everything is done with precision. Bravo !
One word related to this video only. Opposing to as said in introductory comment, ITC is no longer an acronym. It is ITC ltd.
When you was asking a question on the agriculture topic today
I felt super excited and i commented that a video should be made on this topic very soon! But i never thought it would come this early!! very happy as a person who is very passionate in the field of agriculture...
by the way i am writing this comment without even start watching the video.😌

The fact that he does the sponsor in the end of the video was the actual reason that got me to appreciate him.
Other channels like Half as Interesting makes a 6 minute video and does a sponsor of 2 and a half minute.
When Ethanol/Butanol revolution comes then poor and marginal Farmers of India should start growing switchgrass, potatoes, corn and other plants.

Thanks bro for your efforts to make people responsible, but i don''t know why our politicians not consider this to resolve farmers issue rather than providing free money.

Great video Sir!!!! You have explained very beautifully that how private sector can lead the economic growth even at grassroots level if adequate govt support is provided. Very insightful video!!!
Thank you Ganesh Bhai! Lots of love and appreciation from Malaysia ;)
A highly educative video with a clear vision. It must reach every farmer in our country. It has political significance as well in the present situation. Hope it will serve to expose all those politicians who shed crocodile tears in the name of our poor farmers.
With due respect brother, kindly turn off the advertisement which suddenly pops up in between please. Your videos are quite informative but the advertisement just breaks the whole link....
Economic is the backbone of our nation. Hold it tight my young Indians. Due to bad governance our counties economy was crumpling after independence. Changes are very much needed 🇮🇳. I am glad that new farmer law had really solved an age old problem ❤️

Sir It's a blessing to have such knowledge sharing people like you on TH-cam. Please continue doing so. I will definitely recommend this channel to my friends
This is why the farm laws are opposed by the strong trader communities controlled by local politicians in form of cooperative sector and A.P.M.C. These people lynch the poor farmers and are not ready for reforms. We should support the Farm Laws to save the poor farmers.

Thanks to you for making this case study which will make people understand the farmer's grief.
I learned so much from your videos I can’t explain which motivate me to make videos like this.
Video until 5:30
This is the exact reason why Modi government brought the 3 laws to institutionalise corporate investment in farming and create parallel competitive mandis but alas the cartels of politically supported middlemen has not only thwarted the reform but also hold farmers from all other states at ransom. Poor politics
No one's against private company's. Think school has a detailed video on farm laws . Watch it..... Ganesh has explained why farmers protest are absolutely justified

I am been watching your videos since 2k subscribers , growth of channel🔥
finaally a vedio which talks about the real problems of farmers.
I am in the process of starting

Cheers team Think School !!
This channel is GOLD!!
This is why we need farm laws however some farmers are misled and some are fake farmers by oppositions dirty politics.
Kam dimaag, farm bills are the most efficient tool for farmers only if it includes "mandatory/compulsory minimum selling price" Allotted to farmers. A home without tight foundation will only make the contractor rich, not the people living in it.
@@khizerlmnxyz0003 MSP is included in farm bills, govt has only increased MSP then why protesting? U hv so much brain? But out of ur head lol..
I love the new aspect ratio. Seems like you're upping video game lol. Keep it up 💪🏻
Plz make case studies on Textiles industry and also helping exports ..
