Everytime I see that scene, it just brings me such joy. The love in Joe's eyes when he is doing it is just so pure. Also Grant did a great job. The look in his eyes gave me the impression of dissociation.

Not only does this relate back to his past it goes to the future as well, “nora shouldn’t be here” “we’re gonna need more diapers” it’s silly but that could be relating to when Nora’s a baby or maybe even Bart.
I love that son and father scene when he was shaving his face. That was one my favorite scenes of that whole season 4. The chemistry between Barry and Joe is just so loving and that dynamic of how he just touched his face seeing the younger Barry. I think all fathers can relate to that scene.
Well, I'd like to say that since Nora's journal was coded in the same language that Barry was writing at the start of season four they are definitely connected. Barry may have written down how to make an artificial Speedforce back then, and them using Nora's journal as a decoder may help them solve the issue with the Speedforce generator... This may also be how Thawne knew how to do the same in the future, by looking to the past success.

They didn’t force him into the storylines at all; they either didn’t write him in at all or when they did, they gave him a crappy story. Everyone refusing to train him was infuriating, Cisco never upgraded his suit but upgraded Barry’s (seems like you should just do both), they had him almost always mess up and everyone would get mad at him, they literally had an episode where they forgot all about him during a crisis and he called them out on it. And then when he said he was leaving because of it, they were all like, “ok, cool. you do you”. He’s a great character played by a great actor, both of whom deserved better.

I like to interpret that this was Barry trying to communicate with the team, but millennia spent in the Speedforce has caused his mind to have no proper sense of time, which is why he says thing he’s already said, and things he is going to say. Even some of the way he says this kind of matches if he was trying to say something like “Guys, is that you?” Or “Do you guys not understand me?” Even the scene where it seems like he’s panicking is like how somebody would panic if nobody understood them, especially if they were your closest friends.
My theory on “were gonna need more diapers”: the timeline changed when Nora died, iris gets pregnant and they both expect Nora. It turns out it’s a twin (idk I’ve heard people say flash has twins or something) and then he says were gonna need more diapers edit; I just saw it came in the video... now I sound dumb

Everyone refusing to train him was infuriating, Cisco never upgraded his suit but upgraded Barry’s (seems like you should just do both), they had him almost always mess up and everyone would get mad at him, they literally had an episode where they forgot all about him during a crisis and he called them out on it. And then when he said he was leaving because of it, they were all like, “ok, cool. you do you”. He’s a great character played by a great actor, both of whom deserved better.
This episode just proves how much cisco cares about barry

I like to interpret that this was Barry trying to communicate with the team, but millennia spent in the Speedforce has caused his mind to have no proper sense of time, which is why he says thing he’s already said, and things he is going to say. Even some of the way he says this kind of matches if he was trying to say something like “Guys, is that you?” Or “Do you guys not understand me?”
Even the scene where it seems like he’s panicking is like how somebody would panic if nobody understood them, especially if they were your closest friends.
My theory on “were gonna need more diapers”: the timeline changed when Nora died, iris gets pregnant and they both expect Nora. It turns out it’s a twin (idk I’ve heard people say flash has twins or something) and then he says were gonna need more diapers edit; I just saw it came in the video... now I sound dumb
