Excellent video and you always drop a ton of knowledge. Extremely helpful to us cleaners. Thanks for your time on these detailed videos. It's not for nothing sir!!!
www.screencast.com/t/7k5QxvCYe Here you go. I didn't upload this because the audio was so bad. Truthfully this cleaning is no different unless you are doing VCT tile strip and wax. The concepts will not change from residential to commercial.
No mixing. There are many brands that one is stonetech. Look for acid tile cleaner tile stores will have it or local supply stores or order from jondon
👋 hello. Great video! thank you. So I am just starting out with a house cleaning. My plan is to save and build from just maintenance cleaning around the home to carpets, any type flooring, counters and windows. The scrubbing machine you use, is there a smaller version you would recommend that is lighter weight and maybe easier to control? Do you have a specific brand of cleaner you like to use no matter which job? Or do you chose cleaner brands by the specific job you are doing?
Thanks for the questions Krystina. There are lots of scrubbers available. A CRB is a lighter option, also oreck makes one called the orbiter the quality will be a little lower but a lot of people start with those. The 175 floor machine like I have comes in all sizes from 13 inch or so up to around 20 inch so. The one in the video is a 17 inch. I know that they are intimidating to get used to, but my daughter could use one when she was around 10 years old, I have a video of that someplace. I can control that machine on carpet with one hand 2 fingers it is all about not fighting what the machine wants to do. Feel free to reach out with any more questions shawn@carpetcleanertraining.com and make sure you join the facebook group you can ask questions there much easier. facebook.com/groups/251306693105038/
Sorry forgot about the cleaners. For tile I use oxiblaster from magic wand company. For most carpet cleaning I use kleenright extream klenz most of the time but I have several different products depending on the need of the particular situation. For wool I like pro's choice TLC. For low moisure cleaning I use Atomic from magic wand company.
Sure you can. Depending on the portable PSI you may be able to use a spinner. If you can't you will need to just extract with a wand. It will require a lot more scrubbing to get it clean but you can do it. High pressure removes a lot of stuck on soils from tile. So if you don't have high pressure you will need to use scrubbing to remove the soils and then extract. The grout will be expecialy hard you will need to scrub with a grout brush in addition to the floor machine.
Please explain your question. The spinner was used on this job. If you are referring to the use of the 175 rpm machine, that is used to scrub the tile and grout prior to extraction. I recommend scrubbing all grout before extraction. Can you do the cleaning without scrubbing? Yes of course, however to accomplish the best possible cleaning a thorough scrub of the grout and possibly tile will do wonders. My videos are made to show every detail of a great cleaning so I will not do a cleaning that only includes the bare minimum to get the job done as fast as possible.
@@carpetcleanertraining8020 I agree with totally, in regards to getting the job done as fast as possible. Thats the problem with most people in any field work. Some where in there life. They get the idea that performing a task fast, is the best way to do things. I think people get that concept from when we were little kids in a classroom and everyone is taking a test. And the kids that would get done fast, everybody would think they were the smartest and it was cool. So that follows most people through their life. But if you have any kind of smarts, you know thats not the case. I try and explain that to the hundreds of people that I have had working for me. And only one person got it. I can't believe it one person. I will ask these to slow down and do the job correct. They way I would like it performed. Because if you don't I'm going to have to go back and do the job right. And that's going to cost me money. And it's going to cost you your job. They don't care.
I'm going to touch on something. That I am shocked you didn't touch on. Or anybody in the comments said anything about. And that is offering to seal the grout joints. After you clean them. Or the slate in the entry. Boy what a choice that was. It looked terrible. And it didn't go with the rest of the flow of the floors. Anyway sealing is so easy and it's a great money maker. But just like you, when you have to use the correct cleaner's to perform your job properly. The same goes with what sealer you use. I have found that only one sealer works on grout joints. But it really works on all stones. Most sealers are called penetrating sealers. Correct ? And they do just that. When applied to a grout joint. All the way down to the slab or subfloor. As the sealer penetrates it leaves traces of sealer behind in the pours of the grout. So now you think it is sealed. Correct ? And it is,kind of. What happens is just after a few weeks of traffic and wet mopping. Those pours in the grout start collecting dirt again. Because after the sealer dried it just left trace's of sealer at the bottom of the pours. So they still fill up with dirt. Well there is ONE sealer that has a polymer in it that fills up and closes all those pours. And NOTHING can penetrate it. NOTHING. For many years I was in the tile and stone industry, in Las Vegas. And I decided I wanted to start a business sealing stones and grout joints. The company I worked for, offered 8 different sealers to our customers. So I started to research each one. And I wasn't impressed with the information they offered. So I decided to do a test with each one. I used 5 different granites, 5 different marbles and 3 different slates. Then I made up a few boards with tile on them and grouted them with white grout. Then I sealed and labeled everything. Then I got everything I could think of to dirty them up. Coffee, tea,oil mixed with grease and dirt. Finger nail polish, lip stick, permanent marker and a few other things I can't remember. I did this on a Friday and let them sit over the weekend . Well all of them failed. But one,and it wasn't even our most expensive. Anyway, for the life of me I can't remember the name of this product. For Christ Sake I use it everyday. I'll get back to you all. SORRY.

When a guy wears the N shoes you know he's gonna be an expert at what he does. Great channel.
Lol, you know it man!!
Awesome video. Once again, love the detailed knowledge.
Thanks again!
Thank you for all of your Invaluable videos. Video idea:What do you do for stubborn ink stains in carpet?
Great suggestion!
Wow great video especially towards the end on marketing to Realtors and what not , I'm gonna incorporate this into my routine, Thank you! 👍🏾💯
Thanks for the comment.
Have you made a video on fixing MDF yet?
If so, can you provide a link?
TIA
Thanks for reminding me I will get on it.
Thanks
No problem
Great video. I'm planning to add hard floors to my services. What are your views on CRBs vs Rotary for scrubbing?
Either one will work for scrubbing tile. Orbitals work much better.
Good video! I like to clean the edges on the tile as I am cleaning so I don't have to go back after.
yeah that works too, but if I need to get down on my knees to do something I don't like my knees to get wet.
Good video great information.
Thanks I am glad it was helpful.
What type of acid are you using at the end? If grout is dirty can you mix acid with pre spray? Thanks
No mixing. There are many brands that one is stonetech. Look for acid tile cleaner tile stores will have it or local supply stores or order from jondon

Glad it was helpful!
Are you rinsing and extracting with just water?
Yes tile grout should be left in an alkaline state so you don't need an acid rinse.
@@carpetcleanertraining8020 Thank you! We have our first tile job tomorrow.
How did your tile job go send me some pics at shawn@carpetcleanertraining.com
What is the machine that you used.
I'm assuming you're talking about the extractor it's a Turbo Hybrid extractor it works in conjunction with a truck mount or portable with higher PSI
What extractor wand was that? Is it specifically for tile only?
That is a turbo hybrid it is for any hard surface.
Can i do with a portable and a floor machine ???

Lol no kidding I should wrap it in bubble wrap.
