36:25 True! If you feel like using an alarm, finding a place to lock up your bike, renting a garage, changing breaking fluids on the rear and front breaks, if you love sliding your rear and crashing when it's raining, lubing your chain, changing a worn out sprocket, panic breaking on gravel and locking up your front wheel and crashing, wrenching, getting cold in your hands from a little wind, getting stuck offroad, looking for enough space to turn offroad, failing to start a hill climb mid-hill and so many more adventures, get a motorcycle! Yes, it's all of the things that happened to me.
I've had a motorcycle since 2018 and a wheel since 2021.
For anything under 30 km distance, 100% I'll take the wheel. Actually... I'll always take the wheel unless it's raining extremely hard and I must go somewhere then I'll gear up and confront the elements on two wheels. Even my summer road trips, I used to ride 5000 km in 10 days, now I'm tempted to take my wheel and hop on a train.
Regarding city trafic, there's NOTHING that can beat an EUC in terms of efficiency, FUN, and green energy, even safety ! (in european cities, idk about the US, distances over there are... crazy.)
Thanks Adam, and nice drum skills !
Sure, but it's illegal on the roads in new zealand. Not sure about Europe.
@@PDivision1 Sorry to hear that. In most EU countries they have to be limited at 25 kmh (about 15mph), and Europe's most cyclable country the Netherlands, banned them! Greetings from a waffle to a kiwi !
In Canada we can ride almost everywhere "depending in which provinces cops in Vancouver are starting to get annoying, in Montreal they gave us a slack" and the max allowed speed is 32kmh everywhere in Canada for any EV
Distances in north america are walkable. 83% of Americans live in urban areas, and most people commute max 15-20km each way. I euc to work on my MSS, its 25km, perfectly manageable and takes me a leisurely 50 minutes seated the whole way on a bike path.
What european city are you allowed to ride a wheel this fast ?
Im from the netherlands im now allowed to take it annywhere i heard some surrounding countries now a day set a 25km speed limit to personal electric vehicles
Great initial impressions review... I have watched a lot of ET Max reviews, but you always make more pertinent comments than most other reviewers [that is why I love your reviews] What I'm really looking forward to, is you followup review after you have really put the ET Max through its paces and have clocked up a few thousand KM. Love your work Adam 🥰
Come for the review, stay for the drum solos
Badum-tsss
He's pretty good at both.
@@mr_wrongway I could see my drum set slipping away to ha, but you've got me covered, well done. Wishing you nice success and to be well.
If you want to silence that cowbell like sound you need a sticky rubbery piece on the inside not the outside to absorb the sound.
Great review!! When I compare it to reviews from your earlier carrier, it makes me think that eucs must be getting much better. I’m glad for that!
"Extraterrestrial, running over pedestrians / In a space ship while they're screaming at me, 'Let's just be friends!'"
Eminem!
Buddy let me try his et max on track day and I was very impressed with this wheel. It was smooth and powerful.
Whoa, it makes you want to buy one! Great movie Adam! Watched from start to end on 1x1! Because of great music and... You talk fast enough not to get bored ... But You direct this message to fast people :)
My ET Max arrives tomorrow. Purchased almost solely on your review. Fingers crossed. Wish me luck.
Good luck! I hope it runs well for you!
I feel ET Max is like a Hayabusa while the Lynx a GSXR1000. Both fast and playful but not for the same goal/usage… And you need to be reasonable with both on the road 😅!
Agreed, good comparison!
Agreed, good comparison!
Great video Adam, thank you very much! :).
Great video, as always!
Please tell me if your battery boxes under the pedals hit curbs on this vehicle?
Compared to the Veteran Lynx, does the pedals catch obstacles much?
The metal mudguard is obviously just another piece of the drumset, duh😇🧐
As for the wheel, it's nice to see continuous progress and improvements, probably in no small part thanks to your videos 😁, now if they would only also make the chassis out of magnesium alloy, like it's on the lynx... The wheel would be close to perfect
P.S pozdrowienia od widza z Łodzi, milo było się poznać na Mistrzostwach UTO 😄
"I would buy a cheap drum set 😀and ET max. I have the same experience with the firm. This think has so much space when it comes to speed, so it is definitely one of the safest EUCs for 'normal' speeds. Thanks for the review!
I'm jealous af. The review is not sponsored, BUT you got this from Begode TO KEEP?😢 *congratz...*
I guess they did address all the issues Marty did bring up with the pre-production version you also did a better range test than Marty probably because of some software update. Well done Begode
Yep. He definitely got better range than the American reviewers.
Can this wheel be trollied with two fingers (or even one) like the wheels with rear mounted handles?
How would you compare it to v13? (it being same weight and battery, but larger diameter)
Hey what firmware model did you update it to. I’ve had the same charging problem lol
Hello, can you make a video on setting up the shock absorber for etmax? I have etmax but I am confused about how to inflate the shock absorber. How do you inflate it to 80? Every time I inflate it and remove the valve, a lot of air leaks out. Also, how hard should the spring be tightened?
Hi Adam, thanks for the information-rich content !
At 19:28, I'm wondering if you were meaning "dampen" instead of "isolate", about the use of velcro to lessen the sound.
At 20:24 I think you'll find that more quiet is spelled "quieter". The video is missing an "e". (Also "it's", when possessive, is better written "its".)
At 21:28 "fewer" pins. I thought there might more pin as in: bigger hunk of metal but GX20-2, GX20-3 and GX20-4 have identical pin dimension and rated current. Too bad they didn't plan to have the bigger wheel with 2 pairs of 10 amps pins instead of just three pins.
I wonder if they'll ever use GX25s with 25 amps rated pins !
Thanks for mentioning the threaded cap!
23:10 I don't like sharp edges either.
26:20 Active cell balancing, fantastic !
I'd like to know how you adjust the suspension.. all of the ET Max that I rode, suspension is a very clunky
49 kg is insane, though. I weigh sub 70, I think, that's more than 2/3rds my body weight. 😅
IP67 includes immersion of up to 1m of water! If it's true I'm impressed and it might mean that this is an ultimate enduro wheel, a wheel you can cross a river with.
Perfect for a local and familiar flood zones... Swampbug EUC.
10 points for including a plug top for electric car charging stations.
What is the quality of the high tension metal of the fasteners? I had to replace the cap screws on mine because the driver holes just rounded out.
Due to the rigmarole involved fixing a puncture, it is my firm opinion that tubeless should be industry standard.
Good review 👍
6k here in Canada, our $ sucks right now😢.
Cheers
😮
You should get some drumsticks put them in your bag that fender would probably make a pretty good cowbell
I hear you!
Get some Dynamat and put on the inside. (or I guess outside would work…but would take away from aesthetics) It’s used for things like keeping cars with high powered car stereos from rattling under extreme bass. You can dampen just about anything with it lol.
Good idea! I might give it a shot :)
Thanks, good to know.
I certainly enjoyed this review of the Alesis Strata Prime E-Drum kit. Cheaper than an ET max! Its a must buy
Dude for real!
Adam, your skill level impresses me.. How much time do you need to get used for a new wheel ?
Thanks! I can ride somewhat ok within first 100m and to get used up it and explore the potential around 100-200km
It looks like you kinda have to re learn every wheel you get. I know I want one. I’m really looking at the lynx as my first one but don’t want to damage it. I’m pretty confident and can skateboard and used to grind and go backside down rails so I know I’m going to pick it up really quick. Do you think I’d go wrong getting the big boy? I’m planning on taking it really slow. Start on carpet and grass and really feel the wheel out. Get really good at turning and getting on and off braking ect. I also heard you can put a belt on the handle and just grab it if you fall so it doesn’t crash. Would appreciate your perspective.
buy once cry once!! you can always pad up your wheel when you're still learning. My first wheel was the msx 100v, the first 100v euc ever made at that time, and it was the best decision I ever made.
Get it brother! You will not regret it. Stick with it and you will be obsessed!
My et occasionally will throw an "unusual voltage" with beeps and kickback. Really unpredictable with that, but doesn't cause crash 😅
Ohh you have the pidzoom charger? How you got it in europe? The VAT hurt really bad :D
There’s a learning curve to choosing a fast-charger. The PIDzoom is a great compromise but the loud fan makes it less desirable for me. I’m sure it will be improved soon.
There are plenty of good quality used fast chargers in my area. If I could find a used RogerEUC charger, I’d buy two! And, if I had the cash, I’d buy 3 RogerChargers and 4 PIDzoomCharger Enhancer’(s) so I could manage my fleet of well loved and slightly haggard wheels.
Used Alien ride chargers are also a great value.
I’m still got the factory charger blues, but one can dream.
Good luck, hope someone else can help you out.
this wheel looks just about perfect but i wish they went with a shorter but longer form factor because it just looks SOOOOOOOO tall and it’s not long enough to put most pads on.
i also REALLY want a new begode rs with an improved shell, 134v, 2400wh, c40, smart bms, and all the other safety features but keep it below 70 pounds. that wheel would be a rocket ship
This wheel is overreporting speed by a whooping 18% maybe that's worth mentioning. It doesn't really have 130mm travel, the stanctions are 130mm but the linkage doesn't allow use of all of that and then you can also substract the rubber o-rings which in the end means around 105mm travel which is about 15mm more than a Lynx or Sherman S. 49kg is without pads so with pads you're looking at over 50kg for 3000Wh wheel.
yep! that is what happens with a 168v wheel. more weight for the same battery
18% ! Source please. The old 18xl had 18% as well. I wonder if this is a Chinese thing.
So many adjustments on the app. Should be able to correct speedometer if change tire diametre.
What are you using to connect the pidzoom charger to the EV charging station at 3:42?
It’s a type-2 to household socket converter I got from hou Ning Ning :)
@@mr_wrongway Does it have electronics that tell the EV Station when you are done so it will release the converter?
Hey! at 33:26 you have this cool bike-bell attached to front of the backpack shoulder strap! Would you please share what product that is? I have so-many-times shouted "Left!" when riding an EUC. Pedestrians know the sound of a bike bell, and even complement when I use it on my bicycle/pedal unicycle. I would like to have the same presence on my EUC when riding around people on bike/pedestrian paths. Also, if you are getting into "cycling" - learn to ride a 36" pedal unicycle. Once you learn, you will achieve single-wheel Nirvana.
Hey there! It’s a usual bell with a rubber strap from Decathlon :)
Great review. Your English is fluent.
haha...this video is class....i dont even want an ET max but the drums...loololol...i had to watch it all
Hey buddy .....seriously...... suspension is so good but its not better than the lynx for offroad? will a off road tyre change that? surprised you didn't mention how low the battery boxes sit , id be nervous riding if off road with minimal ground clearance... what are you thoughts?
the main this is that this weighs like 30lbs more than the lynx and is slightly harder to access torque
Buy that Alesis drum kit, it’s very good.
It looking amazing , perfect for street ride .
Now Begode its on my wishlist ,usually are the best performance wheels ,they need only more safety and quality .
This wheel it seem a great product !
2024 its the hyper wheels year
Adam, does Lynx balance the cells actively too?
I believe so!
What do you think is the hardest wheel to over torque on low end?
I think V14 maybe? Lynx? ET max?
Thank you Prof. wrong way
what's the steepest slope you can come to a full stop to on?
30°-35° . Usually if I try on a steeper one I will slide out with my tire
27:35 just a slight correction: you said the Lynx has 85 mm of travel but it's actually 90 mm. Still amazing what the extra travel offers on the ET Max. I wonder if the trend will be longer and longer travel of suspension on future wheels.
May just be the extra weight (+25%?) giving a plusher ride.
These things have come such a long way in such a short period of time.
Yep!
He/She/They did a decent job of reviewing this EUC.
😂 Yeah, for the glory of Ukraine
That's weird 😮
@@samanderson806 and free free Palestine terrorists :D
I keep watching these videos and lynx videos trying to decide. I mainly ride on road, and would love to be able to keep up with traffic primarily. Having said that I did a little trail riding with my friend’s S22 and really enjoyed it, but its main job would still be commuting. Dude, options are nice, but it’s got my mind gridlocked.
lynx w knobby tire is your best bet, lighter and playful. versatility would only come with a good off road tire with a very round profile, street tires are a pure joy on the street but never essential, and are just too unpredicatable offroad. ETmax is a high speed cruiser, and would be a bit wierd to add a knobby to it, knowing how heavy it is for offroading.
if you are street riding with lots of stop and go traffic I recommend the lynx. the lynx has better acceleration than the et max supposedly. If you are riding longs stretches of road with no stopping, the ET max will be better for you. The ET max does better at speed than the lynx, supposedly.
@@JailbreakTips what I would give to be able to try these things out before dropping 4K
@@RayVi5ionsThis is a longshot, but have you tried looking for an EUC group local to your city or area? I found a local EUC riding group, and people have all sorts of wheels. Some people got the Lynx and ET max right away, so I was able to test ride their wheels during the ride. Might be worth a shot!
Sometimes, the most of everything isn't ideal. Does it have the most weight?
i believe it is the 3rd heaviest behind the begode gt pro + and the begode master pro
@@VECTOR_Coasters The Cybertruck or electric Hummer of EUCs. Big wheel, big specs.
Why only knee pads and not elbow and wrist guards?
I have a protective shirt underneath the OneRide shirt :) without elbow pads though. I should’ve worn the buzzer tbh, I wanted to feel comfy
wrong way the best EUC reviewer on YT hands down....any chance of falcon review?
Thanks! Falcon doesn’t have a smart BMS it’s a shame :/

Nice to hear that Begode was so accommodating when it came to the issues with the board. I'm going to attribute this to the fact that you're a popular TH-camr, because when I had issues with my Master board which was within the warranty period, Begode dismissed the problem and denied the warranty claim. I am now determined to unload my Master, tell Begode to go fk themselves and commit to another brand. Furthermore, be wary of firmware upgrades!!!
Mr Wrongway I am asking for a friend, he wants to have a bit of fun in his old age. He lives near Toronto and wants your advice about which one of these to buy. He is hoping he can get one near Toronto. So can you please tell us if we can get one here. And also we need(he needs a list of the right gear to buy for saftey.
Willyou please let us know it would mean so much to us.
I have been following your channel for years and was going to by a two wheel scooter until I saw your video you made in Vancouver about how these are a lot more fun.
The main thing he is looking for is not range or speed but comfortable suspension and the best quality. Ty
Check out Eevee's. They have a storefront in Vancouver. You can go check out the wheels there and buy the wheels there. They can answer all your questions about safety gear there too. They sell safety gear there as well
@@JailbreakTips appreciate the help except that I'm in London Ontario so it's a wee bit of a shipping issue. I was hoping for something in Toronto or maybe Kitchener Waterloo area also still trying to figure out if I should go with two wheel scooters or this gizmo with one wheel?
Teardown !!!!
I hope they make smaller et max..et mid or et min maybe
Begode extreme?
@@lewinwild i dont think extreme has the same quality
Got into cycling????? ..CYCLING!!!! CYCLING!!!! SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol. (awesome ET video)
Am I the only one here who thinks the ET MAX is ugly? 😵💫😂
Didn't expect it to do so well. Thank you for your opinions and for also showing the less good things 👍🏻👍🏻
Dame ur good

Yeaaaah took a while!

Yay! Welcome Andrew! I’m down :) perhaps with bike and EUC :)
@@mr_wrongwaywill bring all the landing ramps ! Just let me know when ! ⚡️💪
I hit 108 kmph on mine gps speed. (67 mph for those of you in usa.)
Damn !!!
OMG! what pwm?!?
@@VECTOR_Coasters around 18-20 my lowest that day was 17% when I was low battery and hitting 55.
the fact that it had issues doesnt sound good since the lynx didnt RIGHT ?
That is true! My lynx does rattle a little tho (suspension as in all veterans) and I can’t make it ride as well as much as I want it to.
@@mr_wrongway so what do you think the lynx is safer than the begode right ?
Bro just test Commander GT Pro and you will be even more amazed (even if there isn't smart BMS 😂 you have to make an exception)
No exceptions!
34:53 Nah, nothing with this level of performance, surron light bee is 4400 usd and it's shit.
Eride SS is that price and it's 🔥
Put Shinko 244 on it pls, the thread on it is deeper than other options for this size it gets more grip on offroad hill climbs
Shit im about to go bankrupt
Begode made best sounding wheel and forgot to put there real speaker ...
38 minutes? first impression deep dive huh!?
Yeah it turns out I had a lot to say about it 😂
@@mr_wrongway have you tried medium and soft mode?? something for the deep dive. its even more effortless power and braking
@@shibblamo99 I didn’t yet :) good call!
What's up with you and Lando comparing EUC's with motorcycles? Or Ebikes or bicycles? If we were interested in those things, we would go and watch videos about those. We come for EUC content because we want to ride EUC, because there is nothing that feels like riding an EUC.
It's a 39 min vid and he quite fairly mentioned other modes of transport with the pros and cons for about 2 mins right at the end, so whats the problem?

I never liked the look of this wheel. However I acknowledge that I appear to be in the minority on this.
