I have a couple of more questions that no one is asking. The body on ladder frames are on a roll. Why doesn't want Tata Motors get into the product like making a light SUV on the ladder frame/chassis of the Intra truck. It can do really good with a 4x4 1.5L petrol and Diesel engines.
Because the costs involved in engineering a new ladder frame chassis is massive, especially with new crash safety norms, They will have to start from scratch because legacy platforms will not meet regulations. While he emphasized on the challenge of designing a Coupe in 4.3m category, i feel the second row didn't come out well. It clearly is a compromise. The knee up position, lack of leg room and head room are the only sore point in the vehicle. He did mention that they had to work on it a lot, and kudos to bringing it to 'manageable' level. The floorboard seems to have been raised to accommodate the 55kWh LFP pack, which has made the challenge a bigger one.

Thank you very very much for this really insightful interview with Martin! The professional and emotional investment that has gone into the Curvv is quite evident. Martin seems like a very grounded person, who is closer to the customer that is going to purchase the product, while not losing sight of the fact that the product also needs to have the x factor to provoke an emotional reaction. I have been waiting for this car since rumours started flying of a 'Nexon-coupe' in January 2022, and hope to place in a booking within the next 6 months. I had a chance to go check out the ICE version in person, and it felt like a lot of trade-offs have been done wrt to rear-seat space - the shorter than normal wheelbase seems to have resulted in only a miniscule improvement in leg-space, but I can only assume the wheelbase has been kept shorter to optimize headroom for the rear-seat, as keeping the rear-seat farther at the back would have meant the head fouling the sloping roof. I wonder, from a design point of view whether they could have made the car a bit longer so as to increase the wheelbase, and consequently, the rear legroom. Also, I would have liked to know what they had to trade-off with in order to keep wheelbase shorter than the competition - as in, wouldn't a longer wheelbase also have contributed to better ride stability and handling?
It would be great product..but Tata needs to atleast give it a 4 x 4 even if its a aspirational..just see what Mahindra has achieved with ScorpioN - majority of them sold are 4x2 but the 4x4 makes it aspirational
For them frustration was a creation and creativity which existed and lasted and sustained in competitive world before completion and submitting the assigned tasks before stipulated time but the speculation was sumthin excitement and consciousness and curiously intensification 🌹❤️🌹that is the significance of frustration which keep on rolling at the back of their head 🌹❤️🌹❤️
The only point that keeps lingering in my mind is that why did not increase the wheelbase further to have better leg room at the rear? Any chance that this can be put to Martin again?
@@sirishch This platform will be supporting 3.9 to 4.6 mts long vehicles. If this is max wheelbase allowed by platform what will happen to vehicles of 4.6 mts? I think this limitation is due to sloping roof as any further pushback in wheelbase will cause the passenger head to touch the roof and will be worse than what it is now. It would be good if can hear the reason from the horse's mouth itself.

I agree with the weather we have. Also with the mindset of Indian customer everyone is going to praise it but no one will buy it. On the contrary it is going to be a cult product. Brand Image will increase. I would be a good strategy if they adopt it.
Sierra which has a traditional boxy design is expected to compete in the same segment, to be positioned slightly above curvv probably with 1.2 GDI, 1.5 GDI, 1.5 DIESEL AND EV.
The 3 design centers in Pune, UK and Italy work together as Martin said. Eventually, it all reaches the Pune studio because it is based in the manufacturing facility.
I don't think cruvv is a new product, its actually a rear resigned nexon, interiors are same, space is same, actually mass market needs a curvv based 7 seater
With Sierra sitting in the 4.3m..won't that eat the harrier's sales?? Already Harrier's sale is coming down so customer might either go for Sierra or Safari right?

JMD and JRD and son and very respectful Chairperson or moreover chairman has a vision and foresight which have created Nano it was a dream of poor povertyline rather being deprivation the economic graph was had set and predetermined by JRD ❤️🌹
Martin Should live Upto Pratap Bose Design
Why tata doesn't change its front design...why its dumping tube light cars ..martin bhai kya karrey ho yarr... we want new front look.😊😊
Martin Lives and Work in Europe So Bhai Hard Luck 😂
BRAND IDENTIFY
Any confirmed update on the month of launch in 2025? Eagerly waiting for the Sierra launch. Won’t be booking Roxx or Scorpio N until then.
Please give us an update about TaMo RaceMo
No update sadly
Rear head room is really bad in curvv ev. It will lead to bad reputation of this amazing car😢
Hope Tata Design and Engeneering Guys Do Some Redesign
Let's See What Indian Customers Say
What about the next gen Tiago & Tigor? 😮💨
No news about them yet.
Probably includes in those 9 products he mentioned Tata is working simultaneously.😊
SUVs is where the market is at now
Now Tata should launch 7 seater MPV in India.
Curvv should come in droptop too.
Maybe we do get something like it in the future.
@@evoIndia then this car will be sold over the roof for not having roof. 😍😉
In India? No chance
I agree with the weather we have. Also with the mindset of Indian customer everyone is going to praise it but no one will buy it.
On the contrary it is going to be a cult product. Brand Image will increase.
I would be a good strategy if they adopt it.
Avinya the same time as well ❤️🩹 the same to the other side 😜😜
When will tata make a proper ICE 4x4 SUV?
Not anytime soon....
13:27 he said a product which is complimentary to the curvv...
Any hint about that?
Sierra which has a traditional boxy design is expected to compete in the same segment, to be positioned slightly above curvv probably with 1.2 GDI, 1.5 GDI, 1.5 DIESEL AND EV.
@@milanmonachan may be possible
The Sierra...
Where does the forgotten Harrier ev sit amongst all this ? Tata MD had announced it would be launched in FY 25.
Nice vid. I am waiting for hyundai creta ev and harrier ev awd.
Thank you. We're also excited about those two coming.
Likewise. lots of cool cars coming
@@evoIndiaAny timelines you can share? Thanks.
A question about the Harrier and the Safari getting equipped with a hybrid powertrain please...
No news of it yet.
👍👍👍
👍👍
Avinya is coming OMG.....which is the best bank in India? We need to plan a heist 😂😂😂
😅😅
Hopefully wont be priced such that you need to rob a bank!
Did not compromise the Second row ? What a joke 😂😂😂😂
Second Row is Challenging For Any Indian . Hyundai Creata is Enjoying
He has Not Been Inside the Curv . So how Can He Judge It
When you name it Currv there should be a curve to the design I feel something is lacking
Martin very good morning 🌹❤️❤️🌹
As an automobile designer myself, can you please share some designs created by Martin that I can refer to for my portfolio?
You can check out some of the designs and sketches on his Instagram handle
Check his instagram perhaps?
Is tata sumo back in comming year?
No news of it yet.
not immediately, but I think it might
hold up i thought sierra was the code name for curv
Oh no no. The Sierra is making a comeback!
NO!
my only concern is
why the designing is not happening in india?
there are three 3 centres - Pune-India , UK and Italy . Italy is with JLR so it's there and UK too because they have JLR there
The 3 design centers in Pune, UK and Italy work together as Martin said. Eventually, it all reaches the Pune studio because it is based in the manufacturing facility.
It is happening in India, Italy and UK. all over!
I don't think cruvv is a new product, its actually a rear resigned nexon, interiors are same, space is same, actually mass market needs a curvv based 7 seater
Doubt the Nexon platform can take a 7 seater
@@sirishch gi, if Renault triber or ertiga can, why not Nexon
Change design of tiago please
When is Harrier.ev launching?
Martin & Team has No ideas of The Rear Seating 😮 Super Comfortable 😮 Design
Agree
😂 Second Row 😅
@@ranjitpal9937 Hope Tata Solves it
With Sierra sitting in the 4.3m..won't that eat the harrier's sales?? Already Harrier's sale is coming down so customer might either go for Sierra or Safari right?
What about harrier petrol?
No news about it yet.
Matter of months I should think
