@@TheDude50447 The SkyActivG Turbo is still very fuel efficient, especially for what it is. I drive about 8 minutes to work, about 5 miles each way, so it's city driving. I get about 25mpg. Didn't mean to sound like a CVT fan! I much prefer the six-speed. And on a hatchback the C- and D-pillars are kind of combined, so I'm not giving you that one 🙂

Just test drove the new hatchback yesterday. The D-pillar doesn't hinder visibility as much as everyone is making it to be.
Also... I have not yet seen anyone in the US mention that the hatch's trunk is actually smaller than the sedan's, measured with the rear seats up and the cargo cover in place. Yes, the hatch has better utility with the bigger opening but the sedan can carry more in the trunk if folding the rear seats isn't an option on a trip.

Excellent review; one of the best and most thorough I’ve seen. Unfortunately, here in Australia we don’t get the 3 Turbo. Mazda hasn’t yet committed to building the Turbo in right hand drive. We do get the 2 litre SkyactivX, as well as the 2 and 2.5 SkyactivG engines. I’d swap the SkyactivX for the turbo in a heartbeat. But all 3s here do get rear AC vents so don’t know why Mazda doesn’t make them standard everywhere. Again, nice review. Thanks.

I have a 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz limited and the lane keep assist has nearly broken my wrists on multiple occasions. I live out in the country and like many country roads they will repair cracks with tar and there can be multiple tar strips all cross the roads in multiple directions. On a regular basis the camera will pick up the tar and think it's the white or yellow line and jerk the wheel extremely hard. There have been on multiple occasions that this nearly has caused an accident as some of the back roads are narrow and it will throw the truck one way or the other and I have had to jerk the truck the other way and fight the system to avoid hitting a car head on.

Yeah, i don't know why some people say that this is not fast for 250hp. The new Golf GTI with 245hp has a 0-60in 6.2s. Sure the Golf GTI is FWD and this is AWD, but the Golf has a faster transmission and for 5 more hp it is a fast car. If Mazda had a DSG transmission 0-60 time would have been in 5.1-5.2s

Definitely not a luxury car. There's nothing luxury about the thin amount of water-based paint and clear coat applied to these vehicles. If you care about long term ownership and least amount of paint chips as possible then this car is not for you. Also use compressed air for cleaning the cover to your guages and the cover around your shifter they are very prone to permanent scratches. The heated seats will turn off and refuse to work at all when used on the highest setting. Also if you turn this car on without ur seatbelt connected the noise will drive you insane, Also if your passenger decides to not wear theirs.(no setting to make it shut tf up). Lastly if you are parked on any kind of incline OR decide to shift into reverse or drive prior to disengaging the parking break your transmission will slam into gear. The dealer will tell you its just a characteristic of the car. I cant wait to trade this pos in at the end of the year.

Feels a bit claustrophobic to me, and I am 5'11'. Had to drive with the seat basically all the way down, the roof is so low. Rear space feels very tiny (had a dealer driving behind me and was really annoying as I had to push him all the way back), definitely in line with small European cars. Instead of avoiding the potholes (we know you are such a clever driver). How about driving over them and reporting on what the ride feels like when they are hit. Is this car such that a person feels every bump?
Early in the video you state that the automatic transmission wasn't caught up with the rest of the industry. Maybe people don't want a CVT. I've noticed that Lexus coups don't use CVT's either but have automatics. Please adjust your bias to avoid being a dink.

@@ChrisONeillUSA Obviously you're more smart-ass than informative. What's the point of your channel? Viewer asks about potholes and you smirk. I don't really care. People will learn to avoid you in the long run. L8ter / loser.
