Good morning Sir. I see that your film is creative and varied. And I know that it requires a lot of effort, because I also make videos for TH-cam. But I don't understand why you are so enthusiastic about the result with the 4.10. The birds at a (very) short distance sometimes fall, but I see several pheasants flying on with shot pellets. Maybe something for a top shooter, but for the average hunter? Why recommend this? All the best from Holland.
As general comment judging by the videos I see on here including Dave Carrie and what I’ve experienced in the field standing with 2 folks shooting 28 bores, there are a lot more pricked birds and a lot less dead in the air when compared to using 12 or 20 bore? Each to their own and in certain circumstances like early season flatland partridge shooting etc yes absolutely but later pheasant shooting where birds are harder to kill etc, I don’t get it?
Do you think tighter chokes would have helped the miss/kill? Last season using a 28 bore, #5 or #6 lead with felt wads I found gave me cleaner kills on pheasant, partridge and flight pond ducks.
I regularly use a 4/10 on game shoots myself. They are great fun. I am interested in how you are choked and what ammo and shot sizes you use, as everyone has a different theory on this subject.
@@-B_G-So sorry. I have watched it again, and you are absolutely correct. I really don't know how I missed that. I am going to use the "brain freeze" excuse, as I got very cold today on Beaters Day. 😨🤪
@roymartingunsmiths814 Thank you, Roy, I stocked up with Clever Mirage 19.5 gram 5s and Winchester Super X 6s and 4s about three years ago. You can't get either now and I am running low now. I have been shooting a Ceasar Guerini Magnus 30 inch choked at three-quarters and full.
Excellent vidio Ed, An earlier comment about not killing birds cleanly just doesn't hold water, you emphasised the fact that birds are mainly hit or missed, this was shown perfectly on your last bird shot as seen through the shotcam, first shot slightly off and a clear miss without a feather touched, second shot right on target, bird stone dead in the air. The velocity of 410 pellets are exactly the same as any other calibre and kill just as hard, the only difference is you need to be a good shot in the first place, the Fiocchi Magnum is a superb little cartridge and out to 35/40yds will kill anything that the bigger calibres will kill but it does not forgive like a twelve bore.
I have watched all your 410 videos with great interest. I have two questions, is that gun a standard 'off the rack' base B Rizzini B110? Also curious as to what chokes you used?
Hi Roy, Not the best vid the birds looked to close, even for a 410. Shooting into the trees not a safe thing to do, plus what pellets you had and pattern was distorted. not good at all. Regards Alan
We all can’t afford to shoot high birds but some of those weren’t worth lifting the barrel too. A lot of recycled hits repeated over the 7 min video looks like it was a poor day. Normally love your content but this is well below your usual standard. Still a fan though
Everyone misses, even the professionals. it’s part and parcel of our sport. If you hit everything it wouldn’t be challenging or fun. The fact you have made that comment shows your not a true sportsman

Have you done a video yet with using a 28 bore

Excelentes lances de cazerias amigos saludos chebres caza
Thank you
Surprised you didn’t use more choke
Great shop what do you film with
You sure you had any shot in those cartridges? Either that or you just wounded almost every bird you hit.
Might need your eyes testing
Can you get your camera glasses with your prescription.
Looked like a fun shoot
You can yes, you might be able to see but I have prescription inserts in mine

He literally said everything you asked in the first 30 seconds of the video…
Edit: and the end of the video says it again…
@-B_G- Fiocchi. That's all.
No mention of shot size or choke, actually.
Hi mate, as stated in the first bit of the video I’m shooting 1/4 & skeet and 19g 6s

I was shooting 1/4 & Skeet and yes it was just an off the shelf gun which is a miracle that it fitted
@@roymartingunsmiths814 thank you.
Looks like you wounded all of them without one clean kill…..

Alan a lot of driven shoots take place in woodland and birds are driven through or over trees. It is part of driven game shooting
Pity about the stupid music

More wounded then killed. That's poor hunting.
Too many swings on birds through trees
The music too loud.
Mm, looks like the pheasants weren't laughing with you hitting them up the arse, incompetent gun using the wrong tools, probably should go home 👎

That's your opinion, which doesn't count for much🤮
You sound like a guy who takes a 12 bore with 32g 5 to a small farm shoot. It’s just as unethical to blow up the game so it’s inedible.
Were you watching a different video ? i saw the majority of birds killed cleanly even through the trees.
Great video Roy as always plus great shooting with the 4/10 what make was your cap you were wearing
