He definitely has the tone but lack of control on his audition clip bec he never sing profesionally before. But I think he went through several voice coachings and he actually has a great husky voice. I remember I used to get annoyed with the other male cast singing esp kevin mchale and darren criss because they're voice tends to be so whiny. But there's something unique about cory's voice. It's like fragile but captivating. It's sad fox is restraining them to sing out of fear bec they don't seem to believe in their actor's talent and they heavily tuned their voices on the show but he has a good voice. gone too soon.

yes and no he was a untrained singer before glee that why his singing is kinda flawed but when he was a glee he had a personally vocal coach and some of the other cast menbers help him
