I've purchased and extensively used both the 2021 version of the F7 (F7G210SE), and the 2024 version of the S8 (S8G2114PM). I will admit I strictly use Android Auto and none of the other apps. From my experience, the S8 is far more stable & responsive, and just a more pleasant overall user experience. The F7 was laggy and crashed all the time. There was exactly 1 firmware update available in the 3 years I was regularly using it and it didn't solve the crashing issue. The S8 is perfection, IMHO. Everything works beautifully, the sound is amazing, and I love the optional dash camera and birds eye view rearview camera accessories. Also the screen resolution of the S8 blows away the resolution of the F7. So in this Shadetree's opinion, spend the extra bucks on the S8. You won't regret it!
