TOTALLY AWSSOME BUILD!!!! I LOVE MY HOT ROD FAMILY!!!! I BUILT MODEL CARS WHEN I WAS YOUNG!!!! I HAD SO MUCH FUN AND I LEARNED SO MUCH!!!! A GREAT HOBBY FOR ANYONE AT ANY AGE!!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
great kit.....Reminds me of my Dad....He owned a 31 Vicky , mannn he loved that car Got a color printed pic of 'er , on my wall here , Superkool double clutcher RJ
Very nice build, shows skill and creativity. You also got a good quality paint job on the body. I bought this AMT kit when it first came out in the 1960s, and built the stock version with its flathead V 8. This channel has made me interested in my old models. Still have my Victoria, so I'll have to get it out, possibly for a rebuild. Refards.
Hi I purchased that kit from a friend and it had most of the parts to build the jalopy(i did Scrach built some parts) it had the resin tires and wheels
TP, Yes it does, there is some redeeming qualities about the kit. By itself it builds up a nice stock "Vicky". It has two sets of tires and three decal sheets!
There are a few other aftermarket companies that I sometimes use. Model Car Garage is a good one. Check out what they have. Nice build, I like the red color for the body.
i did same way with front aisle but I same thickness of the rod i used the brad nail to make front wheels moving and added third brake light to make updated in march 1987 and i added trunk and a trailer hitch plus ext at angle fill cap .
The '32 Ford Vicky dirt track racer kit could be revived today, it would take someone making new molds for the missing parts but that could be done. If they can make updated parts of that old mpc Millennium Falcon kit, they can easily make those specific parts for the jalopy stock car option. Or some enterprising 3D printer could come up with what's needed, that's totally feasible!
Strange they'd put the stock car version on the box art. When's the last time someone said the word jalopy? Had this kit once and squeezed in a 348, that took some work.
It really blows that there is a lot of extra parts left over, but not the parts you need to make the kit pictured on the box. Wonder who decided that was a good decision to do. In the end, the kit made looks like a cheap snap together kit.
Something interesting in Colorado what they do for drivers Ed they have retired police officers so I’m getting my permit at the end of the school year for my model glue I use Tamiya cement regular and extra thin cement little fun fact about tamiya there us headquarters is in Irvine California same town as Taco Bell headquarters I’m talking a break f model cars im building ho scale buildings for my layout and get to cars in 2021
