I grew up in a bad part of Toronto, Canada. My neighbour was a badass somalian woman who took no shit at all. I once got jumped by 4 guys, she fucked them up with the business end of a broomstick. I still drop by to have tea with her when I'm back home.

Your mom sounds like my grandmother, who was born and raised in Hell's Kitchen in the 1930s. Every story I ever heard about her going after one of dad's bullies ended with "and 3 or 4 of the neighborhood guys had to pull her off him".

+Patrick Chole Good story, but I think the crowd wasn't into it because it wasn't really polished like an actual bit would be (and he's not quite as natural at the storytelling as some of the more pro comics on here are). If he took this same story and worked it in the clubs for a while, he'd have something, but the writing (so to speak) was a little rough around the edges and that's probably why the response was a little subdued. That and the whole Kevin/Keon switch-up kind of blurred the focus and killed the momentum a little in the middle. IMO.
They are likely told to keep it down for taping.

these videos are crazy on your imagination if you're just listening with earbuds and not watching the screen. the images in my mind were constantly changing. especially once Solomon said he was African. like I said before, I was listening but not watching so because of his lack of accent as far as I can tell, I had no idea he was even black let alone African until he said so. before that his African comments felt a little offensive. after that, I realized I was an idiot. but great story!
