    Sifu Parella This is sifu Jack Soderberg again that studied with Grand master Wai lun chois i left a message before hope you got my post that was a great talk on kup choy we use to use pillows to let go it was funny but you knew when you were hit with out an injurie we used pillows in the pillow sheet or different size pillows great for bean choy, kup choy , pow choy and spinning back fists .can use one hand or two pair off and spar you always had great videos .     Really cool showing the variations of that technique. The way I was taught it in Hung Gar's Tiger-Crane form is virtually identical to the way you guys do it in Lama Pai, but the variations Sifu Rogers demonstrated were really cool. Great post.

    Sifu Parrella, this is terrific - thank you - but hard to hear both Sifus' comments at times due to the music. Very interesting to see the variations between the two styles. Thanks again!

    the "long/arrow fist" and the "waster fist" are found in Gung ji fuk fu, which is an orthodox shaolin set that goes back all the way to the shaolin temple, and has nothing to do with hop gar.
    and in that orthodox shaolin set u can c that the hands are pulled all the way back and don't start from the middle and since the set is known to be orthodox (didn't change) u can understand that the "village" hung gar were the one to change there fist position and not the WFH hung gar by an influence from lama.
    and y don't u talk about the way Hung gar influence hop gar? for example the five animals set WFH taught Wong Yan-Lam.
