IF it ever fails - take to any dealer of hydraulic equipment, go where they get custom length hoses made up. They’ll swage a new end(s) connector on it.

I’ve got kobalt as well but the hose is black or very dark blue. It’s got an outer skin which over time gives up and cracks and soon after pops. And then there’s the extremely quality type at my work which is light red, and an almost fabric inner diameter. 24 years old and only the ends show wear and tear. Used to belong to United airlines. Bill

I have one too but I put a kobalt mini air filter one the reel and after the air filter I put a hose that connects to my compressor

I too am finding out what lousy products these Kobalt tools are. They are designed to be discarded when they fail. No replacement springs available from Kobalt under warranty or direct sale. The design is likely the same as other brands. Has anyone found a suitable replacement spring for this retractable hose?

Lmao my guy that short hose is the lead in hose. It's not for the end. And btw you can easily repair your air hose ends with simply cirmping it on good section of the hose.

I've noticed a lot of people have this old lathe which is good because I've been looking for a new spindle for mine. Mine doesn't run a true center anymore. A dummy put something too heavy on it one day and bent it all out of shape lol. If I can think of a good lathe project I'll do one. I just need some good ideas.

After 2 years in commercial shop with very little air tool use the reel developed a leak and had to be replaced, doesn’t appear to be repairable

After two years in our shop it stop reeling in all the way. Yesterday I pulled in it and the spring inside finally snapped. Do you know of this is lifetime warranty

These things are junk. After 2 years the springs slip and it doesn’t retract.
