    I went with the versa grips Xtreme. Probably most important piece of equipment I bring to the gym. Must say they are the best ive used.

    You got the wrong size versas.

    I had to return cobra straps due to wrist pain. Versa gripps on the way. Hope they work out. (Video just started, haven't watched yet)

      I could see that. They are pretty wide and come up pretty high along the palm side. I personally like, but could totally see others not liking that! Best of luck with the versas!

    the versa sizes are by wrist circumference soe you pretty sure had to big ones

      Cool, thanks for the heads up! I’ll have to give the smaller ones I try in the future. I genuinely have pretty small wrists, so I should have assumed that much hahah😂

    Pretty sure after watching your review that you have no idea how to use straps. Try deadlifting or doing rack pulls. Then try reviewing lifting straps.

      Appreciate the feedback! My main point of the video was to give more in depth feedback on a variety of straps so you don’t have to buy each one and waste time on it. Hope it somewhat helped 👍🏼

    the straps work the best hands down if you lift heavy. You dont need "gloves" if you dont train heavy. And those straps will last for many years.

    • @DerzPT

      this is a bad take i know women who can do lunges with like 40lb weights in each hand, i wouldn’t call that lifting heavy but they certainly have grip fatigue by the third set

    • @executiveinvestments

      @@DerzPT you can easily use straps. Gloves don’t do shit for fatigue. Straps do.

    • @DerzPT

      @@executiveinvestments I'm not sure what part of what I said was trolling, but I have worked out with female D1 athletes, and often, their forearms are weaker than their backs or legs. So Versa grips "gloves" are a great option, faster to use than straps.

    • @executiveinvestments

      @@DerzPT faster? So it’s a speeding contest? It literally takes 3-4 seconds to strap a bar. But hey, you keep trolling. Straps are better than the scam versa grips.

    I've been using the Cobra grips for around 8 years, only when I do a last widow-maker set of 10 reps on deadlifts, love them, but they did just start to break down on me. The edges started oozing out a dark, tar-like rubber, that got all over my bar, so unusable now, Wondering if there's a gel inside these? Anyway, I guess 8 years isn't too bad but like said, I only use them on one 10 rep set, once every 10-14 days.

    • @GymPilgrim

      Dang, that’s weird. I assume out of the thicker part near the fingers? The original ones I got in 2019 were pretty rubbery, but the ones I use now (in the vid) are slightly thinner and more of a synthetic suede feel. Doubt there’s that rubber gel stuff in there

    • @gcruishank9663

      @@GymPilgrim Yes, it was on the pads near the fingers. I ended up getting a new pair but in leather, hoping they won't have that issue. They aren't as 'gripey' as the others but I think once they wear in they'll be great.

      @@GymPilgrimbet I like it? Wraps are supposed to be used to help ur grip while doing heavy weight. Overhand does absolutely nothing for holding the weight. Maybe if you actually lifted more than 1 plate you would learn how to use straps.
