I've had mine since 2014/2015, And I use them for a lot pushing and pulling exercise, not just deadlifting which they are a staple in my workout gear for that. That are just as effective today as they were 9-10 years ago. These things are durable AF and will stand the test of time.
Same. I got mine around the same. I don't like them for pushing exercises but use them for some pulling exercises. They've lasted forever. The only way these things are ever going to wear out is when the Velcro eventually wears out.
I’m a figure bodybuilder. I’ve had the same verse grips pro for 11 years and am finally getting another pair. When bench pressing with them, simply reverse the gloves to the other side of your wrist, and now they are only wrist support. I’ve done dead lifts with these for YEARS. The older they get the better they are for dead lifts.
I've had these for around 5 years myself and just got a new pair, the velcro finally started to dull. Cant complain after consistent use for that long, was a no brainer to buy a new pair.
Most of your annoyances with the product seem to be lack of “natural feel” or connection with the bar while lifting. I feel like this is something that re-develops over time, with use, as your brain relearns that connection (same with lifting gloves.) It would be similar to someone not used to wearing shoes suddenly wearing shoes and it feeling strange. I think it’s a great product. Wrist support and being able to focus on a muscle group more confidently because of not losing focus on making sure your grip strength stays adequate is a no-brainer to me. Great product. I will agree that having a simple set of wrist straps in your gym bag as well as these is a smart choice.
Great review. Thanks! I've had a Pro pair for two years now and very pleased with them. I'm also cursed with small wrists (7½") but, to me, the R/L fit is fine. They're not meant to be tight fitting, so you can quickly swivel them out of the way to load a bar, etc. The looser fit may feel a bit disconcerting at first if you're only used to traditional straps. I first used them on a 1RM deadlift and had visions of the straps sliding down onto my hands. As soon as the load came on they felt solid and you knew they weren't going to slip. Whenever someone tries them for the first time I reassure them on this point. Some pretty big dudes (≈8½" wrists) have used them and still had plenty of overlap on the Velcro although obviously they should opt for a bigger size if buying their own. The only other thing I would add is that wrapping the tongue around a 35mm bar is a little fiddly. So if you use them on a Smith machine you'll take a bit longer to get them in place.
$10 versa grip bag or for $4 90 Ziploc Sandwich Bags mmhhhmm think ill do zip lock. Great video tho btw, actual honest review by some1 who used the produce for years instead of 10 hours. Thanks for explaining the sizing and different versa gripps wasnt sure which size or type to get.

I see people use these for lat pulls all the time. I would recommend using them only when necessary though so that you don't weaken your grip strength.
Love your reviews, my man. How well do you think these would work for snatch grip lifts? I just lost one of my lifting straps(lasso) and planning to get a new pair. Since I'm going to have to buy one any way I was thinking if should try these out. But they look like they would keep sliding inwards when I'm doing high pulls with my hands literally gripping from collar to collar on the barbell. Thanks in advance.
Sorry it took so long to respond! I appreciate the support! As for using with snatches, I'm not sure. I don't do those so I don't have any experience with it. Give it a try 🤷♂️💪🏼
They are. It's not so much them being stick on the bar/grip you're holding. It's them looping back into your hand and being sticky on your hand that helps.
Unsure to be honest. Since I'm a power lifter I always deadlift with chalk since you can't use straps in competition. I have used them before on deadlift years ago. I think I've gone over 500 lb with them.
Thanks, I’m not a power lifter but I somewhat regularly hit 220kg and I always use figure 8s. I’ve tried a cheaper version in the past and it just felt unsafe
