    Ingredients,
    For chocolate Sponge
    Plain Flour - 1 cup (less 2tbs)
    Cocoa powder - 4 tbs
    Baking powder - 1tsp
    Baking soda - 1/4tsp
    salt - 1/8 tsp
    Vanilla extract - 2tsp
    Eggs - 4
    Powdered sugar - 1 cup
    Oil - 100 ml
    Instant coffee powder - 1tsp
    Warm water - 1/2 cup
    Use 7 inch cake tin to bake,
    bake the cake at 180c for 25mins in a preheated oven
    Sugar syrup
    water - 1/4cup
    powdered sugar - 2tbs
    vanilla extract - few drops
    For chocolate ganache
    fresh cream - 1 cup
    chocolate - 1 1/2cup
    For filling - chopped nuts and chocochips
    For drips
    Use the ganache and microwave for 10sec to make the flowly consistency and add few drops of black colour to intensify the colour
    For garnish
    Kit kat
    moulded chocolates
    choco balls
    munch
    Oreo biscuit
    Choco sticks
    Edible pearls

    Is it necessary to put the cake in the fridge after decorating...? Could the chocolate ganache can hold its firmness for many hours without putting the cake in the frigde after decoration?

    Hey Dianne, tried the same cake but when i tried making rossette i wasnt able to with the whipped ganache, even tried chilling it but the design wasn't holding..
    but with just whipped cream i usually get good rossettes on my cakes

      I used the same leftover ganache for it .
      If your ganache was thin then Next time use 1:2 ratio ,1 part cream and 2 part chocolate.

    The cake looks beautiful but a bit chewy and so many eggs y i used 8 eggs its good but a bit egg because i doubled its quantity but it was just waste of money and time never try by doubling the ingredients

    Thanks ... cake turned out delicious... i am not sure where was the gap but it took almost an hour to bake but the end result was simply awesome. thank you for your recipe as well as being kind enough to respond to queries.
    Just a suggestion, in your future videos if you can please give measurements in gms / ml along with 1 cup etc. that can help beginners like me who don’t have right tools.

      @@bruh-mr2bm Yes, It's didn't cook properly. I followed the instructions given here, but I still didn't get the results I expected. Here is the time given to bake the cake!! Even after giving that, when the cake was not ready. Well, I extended another 10 minutes, but it didn't happen.

    I have made this cake around 10 times, and it has turned out perfect every single time. You can blindly go for it. I swear. It is the best and easiest cake sponge recipe. One tip is that you can put the sponge in plastic wrap and freeze it for around five hours and then, use cream or gnash on it. This will make the sponge even more moist and fluffy.       Did it turn out good with four eggs ? Usually i add 2 eggs for 1 cup of AP flour but when used three eggs the cake turned out hard.

      Grease the tin with butter/oil and dust with cocoa powder/all purpose flour and
      keep the tin in fridge for 15 mins and then pour the batter .

      Yes, this cake can be decorated and stored the day before but in the fridge inside a container or a cake box .
      Else the cake may get little dry 😊

      If using morde dark compound, then will need 2 1/2 slab of chocolate to 1cup fresh cream .

      To make it simple use in 2:1 ratio .
      2part chocolate and 1part cream .
      300gms chocolate and 150gms cream will be enough 😊

      Today I uploaded recipe of white forest cake , use the same recipe of the sponge for vanilla sponge with eggs 😊
      Bake at 180c in convection for 20 mins 😊

      Hi...I tired the cake thrice...no doubt it turns very spongy....but a thick layer remains at the bottom which is elastic kind of rather it cannot b eaten

      nazima shaik I think that’s because of the coffee ...don’t use hot coffee ...it can be slightly warm ...try to pour from a corner little by little and keep folding to the batter ...else it will simply settle down ....and if it batter looks too thin then don’t add all of it add until gets to consistency of the batter .
      Sometimes depending on the size of the eggs the batter will be thin,then we can adjust the measure of the coffee .

    I tried this....i didnt have that hand mixer so i mixed the eggs by hand and did everything you did in the vid..after adding dry ingredients it became so liquidus so i added some more flour.(ps- i have made cakes many times so don't say it was my mistake)
    Now, the cake is in the oven.
    3/5 (rating) m not gonna try that frosting bcz that too needs hand mixer. I will buy it from the market.
    I will edit this within one or two hours.

      That’s an honest feedback .😊
      First thing , for this sponge electric blender is required for the eggs ,if not the sponge won’t be spongy and soft.
      You said the batter was thin ,in that case you next time reduce the amount of coffee.
      I am glad you tried the recipe 😊
      And for the frosting , this can be done without a blender as well , use 1:1 ration of cream and chocolate and keep in fridge for just 15 mins till they are semi set and use then directly (just in case you would like to try next time )😊

      Few reasons can be ,the batter needed more milk or may be over mixing the batter...hope all the ingredients were in room temperature,including cream and chocolate....the batter should have enough air in it then we can get a perfect soft sponge....

      I have been using a convection oven from LG for the last 7yrs .
      But experts suggest for OTG to go for Morphy Richards 52 litres or IFB brand ...they both are on the their top preference always 😊
