I found this channel after watching Homeland and ignorantly realizing Mandy was in the Princess Bride. This channel is my favorite TH-cam channel now. This “episode” is amazing. I always make omelettes for my family of five and made the famous Boursin omelettes this morning, with goetta (look it up if you haven’t had it) and toast! Everyone loved them! Please don’t stop making these videos. Love your candor, sincerity, hilarity, and everything about these videos.

I was about to write that I lived for some time in Lisbon when "the princess bride" was shown in the cinemas. I admired then how intensely the whole crew played it. And yet so lightly, so naturally and with a deep impact on the audience in the cinema. Those were the times where there was a break in the middle of the movie to change the film rolls and the audience would step out in the foyer hall to sip on a little cup of strong coffee (called "bica" in portuguese) and talk about the movie and the characters, Inigo Montoya being played so very convincingly. You have maintained the art of acting convincingly, like Robert de Niro. Plus you evidently are one of the nicest human beings on earth. So admiration and respect will follow you on your way! Isn’t it funny? When you have a family that all talks at once, you take it for granted. It was always a hoot to see when we grew up and brought friends and partners who didn’t come from that dynamic struggle to understand it. Years later, they would all laugh and bond with each other over how they struggled to figure out how we all did it so easily and happily.

The play Mandy Patinkin mentions doing at Berkeley Rep was ‘Compulsion’ and he was a force in it! I took family to see it. We were thrilled to attend. It was such an engaging and memorable piece that touched on trauma in a complex and creative way. There are so many theatre pieces which were really formative for me and informed my human rights activism. Grateful to Patinkin and all actors for what they do to kindle the human spirit. And to theatres like Berkeley Rep that make tickets affordable to young people!

This was a really fun and comforting video. For anyone interested in health. The first spatula was silicon not plastic. It is actually better for the pan than the metal and it is not toxic like plastic. Olive oil becomes toxic when heated. It should be used after the food is cooked or on cold foods. All plant oils become toxic when heated and even when used cold, omega 6 fat is distroying our health. Coconut, palm, and grass fed tallow, butter or ghee, are all healthy fats that can be heated and will not become toxic. Eating this meal everyday is perfectly healthy and if your Dr. Says otherwise they are confused because they are not actually required to study nutrition in Med school. There is a lot of outdated and bad science still being used to guide public health. I have never cooked an omelet with the lid on top. Will have to try this and Boursin cheese. I use my lid for over easy "fried" eggs, too. Neat! Love this.

I have to say that the bloody Boursin omelette has become my ‘signature dish’. I mix it up with black pepper Boursin. How radical is that? I must admit that I serve it with oven chips by the way but don’t tell my French neighbours
Ha. She fits in so naturally, you’d never know she was new to the family. We have two larger dogs. (Medium to large) Together, their weight totals ~150 pounds. I don’t like them nosing around when cooking. Too pesky…I’ve gotta watch the shorter one stealing from the trash and the taller one stealing from the countertops. They are quiet about it too! They won’t do it in front of you, but don’t leave the room for too long. One day I had a stack of breadsticks left over and I was getting ready to make them into croutons. Left the room for a few, came back and they were still neatly stacked but there were definitely fewer. Tall dog in another room chewing his lips quite suspiciously.

Exactly! Silicone is safe as far as both heat and no leached by-products. And there are some super cooking tools made of silicone these days. 🥰

Interesting carton full of egg shells. They have a laboratory quality reverse osmosis system under their kitchen sink but no garbage disposal.
Easiest to store them in the carton until it is done and then process the shells for the garden🥰
