When I was told that Chitraji & Deepak Khazanchi had surrendered his last remains to the Ocean, I cried and cried. This couplet was composed at the time..: Mujh ko sula diya hai samunder ki gode main....Awaaz meri goonjti hai Kainaat mein. I am crying now too. But I can also hear him humming new tunes nearby. Love you Jagjit.

Absolutely great.When Khuswant Singh was editor of "The illustrated weekly of India:.He gave a new life to an old magazine.There was an Editor's page in weekly.He had a chance to listen to Jagjit in any mehfil He wrote " He had chance to listen a new singer,who is handsome like Dilip sahib and sings like Mehndi Hassan sahib".Who was that singer ? Jagjit Singh.

You used word 'bejor' here in sense of unmatchable. But in Urdu it means 'odd'. That is a negative word and never suggests a good sense. So whenever you said bejor it startled me. Then I had to come to your exact meaning consciously. You might use some other word to mean your sense like 'faqeedul misal'. If it's hard to pronounce then 'anokha' , 'bemisl', or some other word as benazir can be used that gives a positive sense. Thanks.
For this program you took great pains. I appreciate it with the depth of my heart. Before watching this prog I assumed that Jugjit and Chitra either separated or divorced that's why they gave up singing together. This thought turned in belief when he launched his album Sajdah along with Lata instead of Chitra. But knowing the truth that Chitra never sang after the accidental death of their son Vivek was really shocking and heart breaking. May God never put anyone through such ordeal. May God keep the father and son in heaven forever. Really pathetic! I always liked voice of the both. I don't believe in fanship but now on I have great sympathesies for this great duo. Chitra proved to be braver though she bruised her soul rather than her maestro husband or equally. Allah blessed us all! Amen
May his soul rest in eternal peace. He always remains in our heart.🙏🙏
