      Thank you. If you wish another aircraft, I take all suggestions and figure out which one to do next. Typicailly new ones on the market, but can do the research and talk to real pilots to get one made. It's a lot of work, and a labour of love.... all for the love of aviation.

    Just discovered your channel and glad I did. Excellent walkthrough which not only helped in filling in some of the Comanche related 'things' I was wondering about, but increased my knowledge of the workings of GA aircraft in general. Many thanks. What a great aircraft!!

    Interesting thing is that POH for this Comanche which I was able to find on one Comanche owners website (they are working hard on maintaining all the manufacturer materials available and current) is quite short. And there is an introductory material called "Comanche Flight Training Manual" which goes deep into the systems and everything else. I am sure it is not including comprehensive full guide on the engine from Lycoming but it is good to remember that this older then 1970-ish airplanes have quite interesting short and even sometimes unconventional POH's. It is great that A2A have this awesome manual. For my personal orientation and "endorsement" I would say this video, manual and a few other sources would be enough to start flying this great plane.

    This was an Awesome introduction I can't seem to stop flying it and even figured out the backwards brake handle and did some adjustments in the brake section of the logitech rudder peddles woow Great airplane.

    What an informative video, especially for engine operation. I’m learning the Black Square Bonanza using the Eckalbar books but wow, this video is a big help. Might have to buy this plane.

    Excellent presentation! I love this airplane; several hundred hrs instructing in the '60's; several in owner owned Comanches. I think the fuel selector valve is under the selector switch, so there should be fuel at the bottom of the tank??? Don't remember for sure, but can't visualize how the fuel selector could affect drainage at the bottom of the tank out in the wings.

      I agree with you. A2A owns the real thing so I trust they make the sim plane the same. As always, I am still learning even if I scoured the POH, spent countless hours before making the video. We are always learning. Thanks for pointing this out.

      @@howardforder4481 One point about the fuel tank selectors is that Piper recommend you only select one fuel tank at a time and change tanks every 13 minutes to maintain balance. The reason for this is that if you had 50% fuel in each tank with both valves open, in a turn all the fuel on one side would flow through to the other side causing a dangerous imbalance in handling which might catch you out. You could try this out, because I'm sure A2A would have modelled this behaviour.

      @@eddiezetlein6582 I appreciate your insight. That makes a lot of sense. Can you tell I fly high-wing Cessnas in real life? Even then, we put the selector on Left or Right when stopped so the fuel person can fill tanks without crossflow. Thank you for your comment. I would bet they modelled that too, being A2A and I will test it.

      In real life, we use the rpm gauge to lean quickly and easily, but when you have an EGT gauge, you can be more precise, according to the POH of the plane. With the sim Comanche, we have an engine monitoring page that is the most educational tool I have seen yet. This shows us spark plug fouling status (bigger white circle or smaller), colour temperature of the cylinders, exhaust temp colour and the effects on using your controls and seeing what happens. The owner of the real plane and the CEO of A2A has an excellent YT tutorial of working with that screen and the effects of the controls on the engine.

      It was foggy. Visibiliy was 10 miles. In real life, I see mist like that quite often. It certainly did make if feel more real.

      @@howardforder4481 That was window fogging up. You had no vents open on a cool day. Just pop the door open and it’ll clear up, or put on the defroster. You can see it in the hangar when you opened the side vent.

    But I didn't find any German content in the entire video!😅
    Ive had this GA for just over a week now, and it is astounding.
    Ive just completed a Casablanca - Madeira flight to test the long range max fuel without wing tanks performance. After allowing for unusable/45m reserve/5% contingency I ended up with 10m extra fuel on board. Amazing, when you consider the winds aloft were close to Simbrief's planner info.

    At 8:43 you say 'and of course flaps over here on the left' while pointing to the park brake lever. Flaps are a floor mounted stick control on the right. You see the top of the flaps control stick below the prop RPM control in your image. Minor correction.

      Wow, I see that. Good eye. There is what happens when you have a mapped flaps switch, like the one on the Bravo throttle quadrant. Nice catch.

    Should you have turned the carb heat off earlier after full stop landing so nothing were to be sucked into the engine?

    Can the Comanche instruments be popped out? I see the mouse become active when I hover over them but nothing occurs when I click.

      Sorry for the late reply Kirk. The answer is yes, you can pop out the glass tablet like other glass displays such as the 530 or the G1000. Just press your right-ALT key and click with your mouse. It will pop out to a screen you can move to another monitor, or your dedicated hardware of the same. We do this with the 530 or G1000 if you have the hardware in your home cockpit. I see that it shows a hand icon when hovering over the steam gauges, but nothing happens with trying to pop them out.

      I will have to check that again. I am sure they did. It may be my sim. A plane this realistic won't overlook the T & B. That is basic stuff, even in free planes. Thanks for the note.

    Hello, what I think is that the plane is nicely done in the game but, for me, it's not a very interesting plane because the plane itself has nothing special. I mean the Beechcraft D18S, the Beaver, the Wilga, etc. are interesting planes because it's a challenge to fly with them. The Comanche is only done to go from a asphalte runway to another asphalte runway without surprises. What you have to do on the ground can be interesting but what you do in the air is not. Easy to take take off, easy to fly and easy to land.

      I agree with you darth. I love flying the beaver, Beech 18, and of course, the Wilga in STOL competitions. As a pilot in real life, the reason we are so enthusiastic about a product like the Comanche is its realism to real flying. To be able to do the walkaround, the failures, the realism in flight means we can practice real-world scenarios and know that it is close to the behavior of the real thing. Not everyone would care about that, so it might not be an outstanding choice for an airplane. A2A has always been known as quality airplane makers for many versions of flight simulators. They didn't disappoint here either. Let me know what other airplanes you wish for me to deep dive into, and I will work on that.
