Doing shut downs and running around on different jobs we run across bolt bound motors all the time. Typically you can get it close enough that the mill finds acceptable and nothing big has to be done. Typically this happens when replacing the old motor with a new one and something has changed between the feet design.

In the field we run into bolt bound often, usually we ream the holes and move on.

How do I adjust pipe stress if the pump is fixed but the pipe doesn’t line up to the pump?
Fix pipe stress first. AFTER the plumbing is correct, the pump officially becomes unmoveable.
adjust the piping supports to remove pipe stress from the pump
What if the motor is higher than the pump?
did not show how to correct the difficult angular sofoot. parallel is easy to correct
