The Way of the Horse is an award-winning equine facilitated learning centre in the UK dedicated to helping children and adults with emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties. Many of those we help are from disadvantaged backgrounds and/or have experienced significant trauma. Our centre also offers staff wellbeing, stress management, team building and leadership development services.
The centre is run by Dina Shale and her team of dedicated staff and volunteers. Dina is a highly trained practitioner with many years’ experience helping both humans and horses. We are a registered not-for-profit social enterprise (limited by guarantee).
Our vision is to facilitate self-empowerment with unique equine therapy methods, to help individuals to achieve a state of complete peace and optimal wellbeing, by educating them to become mindful and emotionally agile. Translating the work we do with the horses into positive and sustained action
Our mission is to provide tailored and bespoke programmes of support to individuals from all backgrounds, be it children, young people, families, or businesses, to enable self-healing and inner growth.
