- TUI Trip Report from London-Gatwick to Gran Canaria, in the Canary islands onboard on Boeing 737 operated by TUI UK (equipped with the new scimitar winglets!).
I wanted so much to fly again with TUI UK. Since my first flight on the Boeing 757, a few months ago, I've been looking forward to a flight like this one. Finally, I was able to book a flight to Gran Canaria with TUI.
Since you reach the TUI check-in counter you already feel that you are on holidays. Then, all the boarding process, the service on board, how the PA messages are said... It truly is an amazing way to start your holiday's trip.

I love the captain’s announcements. As a nervous flyer this would really calm my nerves ☺️
Such a lovely video! Can’t remember how many times have I ever flown Gatwick-Gran Canaria. All of them flying British airlines and enjoined fully. At the beginning I thought the bus ride would be boring, but suddenly it became pretty nice because of the variety of airlines parked on Gatwick ramps. It brought me memories of the terrace views you could savour there until a few years ago. Have loved too the views from the Galician coast and final approach into Gando airport passing so close to Arinaga, its pier and Ojos de Garza village. Thank you so much for this bargain I would have loved to film myself. Congratulations and enjoy it all this 2020!
We went with TUI to Gran Canaria in September/ October, we flew with them, and flew back with SmartLynx/TUI

I flew with tui like 2 years ago before covid hit and every flight i was excited to go on because i love tui its a great airline and like its amazing. The crew gave me and my family a friendly big smile in the flight and if we had a problem they would fix it quickly. After 2 years we will finally be going abroad with Rui and I can’t wait! Cool video btw

Buen vídeo, pensé que no se vería gran cosa con las nubes y mira por donde se ve bastante bien Galicia y su costa, pero también lo que más me ha gustado es cuando sobrevuela Gran Canaria sobre ese fondo del mar es impresionante tanto cómo los aviones que vimos en el aeropuerto de Londres- Gatwick y me refiero a los 747- 400 haber si algún día tienes oportunidad de subir en uno de ellos y grabarlo. La verdad es que no contaba con poder ver nada de mi tierra, Galicia, al sobrevolarla, pero quiso la casualidad que justo cuando pasamos por allí se pudiese ver bastante bien casi todo. Fue una sensación un poco extraña, pasar por allí y no quedarme allí jeje
Desde luego que intentaré volar en el Boeing 747 en cuanto pueda, al igual que en el A380.

TUI is my favourite airline going when I’m going abroad I always use TUI i use them every time I fly over to Tenerife

Yo he volado 2 veces con ellos, pues para mi no es fácil encontrar precios baratos con ellos jaja La verdad es que es las 2 veces han sido vuelos muy cómodos y me quedaron ganas de volver a viajar con ellos!

TUI is such a good airline. It's not a a budget but it's not a business airline.
I flew twice with them for now and both flights were really comfortable. I'm already planning my next trip with them! :)
Great content as allways ang gran canaria is my fav place too .also love the landing in la Palma santa Cruz love to do that one too very short runway but great little airport

I just came back from Gran Canria to Manchester (Octber 2019) on a 767-300 and I liked it very much.
Cool! I would love to fly on the B767 again!

@@adamcash9960 I flew once on the B767, with British Airways, just before they've retired them from service and I loved the engines sound and also the cabin layout. I found it very comfortable :)

Gracias por el reportaje y sobre todo, por la explicación de los winglets, parece mentira que esas pequeñas modificaciones en las alas, sean capaces de mejorar los consumos y la sustentabilidad de los aviones, cuántas novedades más nos deparará la ingeniería de diseño?.
Cambiando de tema, con respecto a tus comentarios de vacaciones, le falta un poquito de sol y calorcete, ir de vacaciones con el tiempo revuelto de las últimas semanas, te levanta el ánimo a la altura del suelo.
Otro asunto, te has fijado que la gente, por la famosa pasarela de Gatwick circula también por la izquierda? Pero sin embargo caminando normalmente lo hace por la derecha, cosas veredes!.

For a moment I thought they were going to bus you to Gran Canaria
Hahaha Gatwick is a quite big airport with not enough jetways, so that means that many flights board in remote stands. Well, that's just a "problem" for the passengers, as low-cost airlines prefer to board by bus. It's a lot fast than using jetway because you can use both doors for boarding.

I flew from London Gatwick to Furtuventura and the flight number was almost the same! Mine was :TOM 4669. Oh and it was really good but we had to rush each time 😂 my mum had to do her 2nd jab and then back to LGW we had to rush cuz it was about to push back

@@DanielRodriguez-ij3yr Los Scimitar son las evolución de los winglets normales. Aún más eficientes, y en ls cuales se han inspirado los del MAX, que aún están más desarrollados.

@@DanielRodriguez-ij3yr Eso no es del todo correcto. Se paraliza su producción desde el 20 de Enero pero no porque se pare para siempre, sino porque no hay más espacio físico en los aeropuerto de USA donde poder almacenarlos hasta que sean entregados.
Hasta ahora hay más de 450 MAX fabricados y aparcados a la espera que puedan volver a volar.

There aren’t very many TUI trip reports on TH-cam and it was great to see what you thought as at present they are actually my most flown airline as I have flown 26,600 miles with them on the 737-800 and 787-9, though I am yet to fly on their 757-200 or 787-8. It was also interesting to see that you got one of the older 737s as on all my flights with them I have only had 737s with the Sky Interior which also features what in my opinion are superior seats. In my opinion TUI have also always been superior to Jet2 and the now defunct Thomas Cook which has been a factor in me choosing to fly with them.

I flew only twice with TUI UK but both flights were really comfortable (the other one was on the B757 from Birmingham to Mallorca). I'm already looking forward to buying my next flight with TUI, but without a holiday package is not easy to find low-fares with them hehe That's the only reason why I don't fly more frequently with TUI.
I also enjoy a lot flying with Jet2. I think both airlines are great in making that "special atmosphere" on board. You feel already on holidays on the plane.
By the way, did you fly already that trip with Jet2 that you've told me?

OnBoardHD - Flight Experience Yes, I did fly with Jet2 a few weeks ago from Newcastle to Lanzarote and it was my first flight on one of their 737-800s and I felt that it was a big step up when compared to their older aircraft. The plane felt fresh and modern on the inside and given the very reasonable price I would probably say that it was one of my favourite Jet2 flights. The major downside were the seats in my opinion as after 4 hours they begin to be a little uncomfortable. I flew home the following day with Ryanair on their 737-800 with the old seats and I actually felt more comfortable on that flight than on the Jet2 flight. I would love Jet2 to go back to how it was when I first flew with them in 2010. Back then their fleet was made up of 737-300s and 757-200s and they even gave out tablets for you to watch films on! You should see if you can try out their A330 too as that would be a great video!
As for TUI prices, I completely get what you mean and it is very frustrating, especially as you cannot see your aircraft type until 90 days before departure. All but two of my TUI flights have been booked as a part of a package holiday and if they weren’t part of a package then I probably wouldn’t have flown them so much.

I'm definitely looking to book a flight on the Jet2 A330. I was already checking a flight from Manchester to Tenerife South in February. I will probably do that one! :)
What I hate the most about TUI is that you can't see the seat-map before booking the seat! I mean, you have to pay the fee and then, once paid, they show you the seat map! That's crazy!
OnBoardHD - Flight Experience I agree, it’s very frustrating, even more so given that TUI aren’t the cheapest when it comes to seat reservations either. The Jet2 A330 would be a great trip report to watch!
Be sure that we'lll have the Jet2 A330 on the channel. Sooner or later, but we'll have it!

Today I've read that the UK gov will add both the Canary and Balearic islands (as well as Madeira and Azores) on the Green zones for summer, so you'll definietely be able to travel without restrictions :)

Corta-final es la forma rápida de llamar al último tramo de la aproximación final. El último momento en el que puedes recibir la autorización de aterrizar antes de tener que frustrar el aterrizaje.

Cran Canarias airport is amazing I have been there with Jet2! I love easyJet Jet2 and tui!
Flying with Jet2 ot TUI to the Canary island is an amazing experience! It's, probably, the best way to start holidays!! I always had great experiences with them! :)

Flew them as Thomson on the lovely 757 a few years back. Fantastic airline however I prefer Jet2.
For me, Jet2 is probably the best airline in the UK. Some people find them "cheesy" (I don't know if the word is correct; it's just what others say). However, I really enjoy flying with them! :)

Es correcto, ese es el verdadero nombre de estos autobuses, pero mucha gente lo desconoce, por ellos he decidido llamarlos autobuses directamente.
