This would make cleaning the fridge a breeze! My mum's fridge is gross :( she always has things in bags and they tend to leak and also you cant really see whats in them so they end up rotting a way.
I hear you on that, I usually end up throwing stuff away when no one is home . One big trash bag and dump them as soon as i can so no one tries to save stuff that's about to expire.

I really like the idea of putting more things in containers. Especially for fruits and veggies since they like to water and make your fridge sticky. I also think if you got a good reusable egg container you might be able to take that to the store or to the farmer's market and avoid those non-reusable ones. I am in the process of remodeling my kitchen and I really like these fridge ideas. My fridge is a mess most of the time and I forget things and they go bad...overall not good.

When I get a chance I'm going to do this in my fridge and my grandma's fridge. She has so much stuff in there it drives me crazy when I visit. This will definitely make us eat better and I have too since my kids have so many food allergies. Definitely love the neat look and easy prep. Leaves me no excuses on why dinner isn't prepared and my husband will definitely love that part.
I'm going to have to incorporate some of these tricks...it would make my life so much easier

Yes !! I'm so glad you put the expiration date. That is the number 1 thing that crosses my mind when people use other containers. You are the first and only person I've seen that does this👍👍

Nikki, I love how organized and keep your fridge. I am really embarrassed at how messy mine gets. I end up wasting a lot of food because I don't even know what I have. I also think prepping is key, so thanks for that gem.
I love salad and need to eat better. This will help me accomplish eating better, not being wasteful and not eating out.
I need to buy a salad spinner for sure. This will help me clean and dry my lettuce/ spinach as soon as I get home from shopping. Otherwise, I will continue to buy my salad and end up never use it ... like I did numerous times over the last 3 months. Just wasteful!

Wow! I need this! Our fridge is downright frightening and I JUST cleaned and sterilized it! Same with the pantry. I wish I could take you along on a shopping trip one day. I can say though that watching your videos has helped me come a long way. Our home is already much more functional thanks to many of the tips you have shared and we are all very thankful for your help!
4 years later and I still think this is the best organized fridge video.
I doubt anyone including martha Stewart has a prettier fridge. It's almost annoying in how beautiful it is...because no way I can do this.
You can do it if you put your mind to it.
It will be vvvveeeerrrrry difficult for me to have a very neat fridge like this because I cook a lot. It is easier if you eat this way.
I can do it. But maintaining it would be hard with family members who don't really mind messiness.
And we cook lots of curries, rice, rotis etc. We do enjoy salads but we do need our curries as well.
Where did you buy the containers for the milk/juice. I love them. Really well thought out organization.
This is the 6th time I am watching your video to mimic your fridge. This helps me keep mine straight and no wastage.
In mine I place a lot of glass containers because we cook for two to three days.
The good thing about the glass containers everyone could see everything. There are no waste.

Your fridge is beautiful but you're breaking my heart putting your tomatoes in the cold! LOL! Put those beauties in a sunny windowsill. Cold can make them mealy and just mutes their flavor. Cut tomatoes and tomatoes you'll be cooking with are fine in the cold. But if you're eating them raw you won't regret giving them that extra boost of sunshine.

Must agree strongly Nikki. You do everything beautifully, but I must also stress that putting tomatoes in the fridge removes the flavor. That's a big "no-no" I just wanted to share with you. It also changes the consistency, but the biggest drawback is that the flavor is essentially gone after being in the fridge. However, the lady who suggested the sunny windowsill is also really not correct either. Room temp is best to keep them from going bad as quickly as they would baking in the sun. Otherwise, everything you do is great Nikki! Keep up the great work because I thoroughly enjoy your fantastic videos!
