So wait can you explain why you did an immediate copyright strike on gaming Railfanner’s channel? Because you made it unfair to him and literally had little to no reasoning to have the video taken down by TH-cam. I’m aware California Railfans are stupid but this is a whole different level, care to explain? Also with you’re reasoning technically you’re using an image of the SJVR company logo to grow your channel, not smart when your using some else’s work for growth of your own channel.
I'd say the fact that he used my photos without asking to advertise patreon and channel memberships is enough reason. As for the profile picture, it's a complete recreation of the logo based off photos made using Adobe Illustrator. I don't make a single cent off this channel and the logo and it's variants have been out of use for about 12 years now.
@@sjvrailfanbut do you realize how you had given no chance to have it taken down? If you had an issue with it you should’ve atleast contacted him through email or any form of communication and given him a chance to take it down as he had no idea and now with this copyright strike it will affect his channel and that will stay connected with his channel forever. GO transit can do what they want, if they think it’s cool then sure but if they wanted it to be taken down then they would’ve given pure warning, what you did was honestly selfish and inconsiderate. If you would have atleast contacted him and asked him to give you credit in the description it would’ve benefited you as you could’ve gotten some more viewers or subscribers and would’ve grown your channel.
I'd consider profiting off of other's content without permission to be pretty selfish and inconsiderate as well. He had four chances to contact me to use the photos first, so why should I accommodate him. I could care less about growth and views, but those coming to complain are driving more traffic to my channel than they would if I had been credited weeks/months after his videos stopped being relevant anyway.
@@sjvrailfanif you accommodate to him then you give him the chance to do something about it and you could come off as a peaceful person and nice guy so maybe next time he sees something of yours he would like to use he would ask you and treat you like his friend and not his enemy. I get that he used someone else’s work and made money off of it but the way you handled it just made you look like a big a$$hole when you could’ve been cool about it and just asked him nicely. You want people to know you as a nice person, not some person who instantly gives copyright claims out when they get the smallest chance.
what a great catch!

By your logic, GO transit should also be able to file a copyright claim as he is using their branding for his channel.
