If you like the Lil Temperance 3, you will LOVE the Bodacious. I hate the finger choil. And I really hate that redundant sharpening choil on newer knives. It hangs up on everything I tried to cut.
@@Trolldaddy5 they’re for people who handle a knife and go “the ergos feel really good!” But then never actually use their knife for anything serious lol
the lil temperance has always had a compression lock, the older models with the petrol colored scales were early examples of the comp lock. i dont get why that model is so expensive and so unpopular - might be some kind of connection between the two things though.
@@shortyxmoshpigx5488 thanks for the correction! Yeah $230 for a Japanese import seems a bit high even for the K390. If they could get them down below $200 I think it would be more popular
@ afaik the japanese manufacturing is not that much cheaper than us manufacturing, but 230 is way too steep for frn. we have to pretty much pay retail this side of the pond (europe) and the price for the vg10 version is ridiculous. the lil temperance 3 is absolutely a knife that calls my name. no forward finger choil, neutral handle, 3" blade, steel interface lock, no dumb bearings... but the price makes it a pass.
@@shortyxmoshpigx5488 oh yeah the price of the VG10 model is absurd. Spyderco pricing on their FRN models in general in the last couple years has gotten out of control. I only ever buy them on the secondary market anymore
I find that on almost all of the fat emerson blades (like Rendezvous, CQC 16, maybe even commander) have horrible detent probably due to the sheer mass of the blade versus the same tiny ball detent. Every single CQC 7 I’ve had has been crispy, just not the fat blades man.
@@veryryan9771 the Comseven I just recently had (which has a commander blade) had one of the best detents I’ve felt on an Emerson. Other than that I’d tend to agree with you though.
