I'm not a father but I can fully understand and comprehend wanting your child to be the one to survive something like a car accident and that being the only thing you're worried about as opposed to your own wellbeing, I'm in tears now because this song is so damn beautiful. It's honestly one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard.

Then some drunken asshole crashed into them and my former classmate, his friend, and the baby all died. The only survivor was the drunkard. I hope he burns in hell.
